Welcome to this guided meditation on letting go.
In the next few minutes we will explore the art of releasing what no longer serves you,
Allowing space for growth,
Healing and renewal.
Begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely.
Feel your chest and abdomen rise as you inhale,
Then exhale slowly through your mouth,
Letting go of any stress or worries.
Continue to breathe deeply,
Allowing your breath to anchor you in the present moment.
Imagine you're standing by the side of a serene river.
Picture the water flowing gently,
Carrying away any thoughts or emotions that you're ready to release.
See those thoughts and emotions as leaves floating on the water's surface.
As you watch them drift away,
Remind yourself that you have the power to let go.
Take a moment now to reflect on what you'd like to let go of.
It could be a past mistake,
A negative belief,
A grudge or anything else that's weighing you down.
Without judgment,
Acknowledge whatever comes up for you.
Remembering this is a practice about freeing yourself from burden.
As you continue to breathe,
Bring your attention to the sensations in your body.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort.
With each exhale,
Imagine that tension melting away,
Creating more space within you.
Let go of the need to hold on tightly to whatever you're releasing.
Now,
Repeat the mantra,
I let go,
Silently to yourself.
As you do,
Visualize your grip on the things you're releasing,
Loosening.
See them floating away on the river of your breath.
Each repetition of the mantra strengthens your intention to release and surrender.
Now,
Turn your attention to yourself.
Forgive yourself for anything you're holding on to that brings you pain or regret.
Remembering we are all human and learning and growing.
Allowing ourselves the opportunity to arise from our challenges.
Offer yourself compassion and understanding as you let go of self-criticism.
Remember,
Letting go is a process that takes time and patience.
It's a gift you give yourself to lighten the load and move forward with a lighter heart.
Whenever you feel the need,
Return to this meditation to continue cultivating the art of letting go.
Gently start to guide your awareness back into the room.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
I hope you've enjoyed this meditation on letting go.
Until next time,
Om Shanti.
