Hello and welcome.
My name is Andrea Henkels.
I'm a licensed acupuncturist and mind body coach.
Thank you so much for joining me here today for this beautiful virtual acupuncture session designed to bring you back into flow and to peace and to help you release any pent up or stuck emotions in your body.
Just as it is in a regular acupuncture session.
Your only job is to relax and to receive and to enjoy.
So to begin.
I'll have you lying down on your back.
Place a pillow under your head and under your knees if you would like.
Have your arms at your sides and your legs uncrossed.
Completely relaxed.
If you have essential oils like lavender for relaxation and stress relief or blue tansy.
That helps you calm and move any stuck energy.
Feel free to apply those now.
But if not,
This virtual acupuncture session will be healing enough all on its own.
So I want you to begin by just closing your eyes.
And relaxing.
Knowing that if you don't understand everything I'm saying or can't perfectly visualize it that you still will have profound healing and realignment of your energy.
The first point we're going to use today is liver 3.
This point is between the big toe and the toe next to it on the foot.
It is often tender.
When we use acupuncture on this point because it helps to move any stuck energy.
To relieve anger,
Frustration and irritability.
It helps to regulate the flow of Qi and blood in the entire body and release any tension and pain.
So as we activate this point.
You may take a deep sigh.
As you let this point.
Do all it's meant to do for you.
Maybe you feel your shoulders drop away from your ears a little bit.
Your jaw relax.
As the Qi.
Begins to move smoothly.
In the meridians of your body.
Next,
We're going to move up the inside of the leg and do a point called spleen 6.
This point is named the 3 yin crossing because the liver and kidney meridians also pass by here.
All of these meridian systems are connected to the heart and the systems are easily taxed when we are stressed.
And when they are stagnant or deficient,
We can feel exhausted.
There can be pain.
And so we activate spleen 6.
To help nourish us.
And move any stagnant energy in these three channels.
The spleen meridian also helps.
To get us out of rumination and overthinking.
So we also use this point to help your mind relax.
And to bring you back to the present moment.
And now we will do stomach 36.
Below the knee.
On the shin.
Just to help us further ground.
Into a nourishing energy for the body.
Next we will activate conception vessel 17.
In the very center of your chest.
And as this point is activated,
You feel your chest open and relax.
Maybe your breathing even becomes deeper.
This is an essential point to help regulate the movement of Qi.
It helps with any anxiety and palpitations.
And really if we store things in this area,
Like stress and anxiety.
This point helps to relieve that.
Helps to regulate the movement of Qi,
Which often becomes stuck with emotional distress.
And so just keep breathing into this area and letting go.
And relaxing.
Next we will use heart 7,
Which is located on the wrist at the base of the pinky.
This point is known as a source point.
It is where the vital energy of the heart organ system gathers.
And this is where the vital energy of the heart organ system gathers.
It deeply connects with the heart meridian to nourish the spirit.
And to treat all emotional imbalances.
It's amazing for quieting the mind.
Helping with sleep.
And easing emotional distress.
It also brings us back to many of the fire element,
The element associated with the heart.
To help us feel more joy and connection.
We often use this point to treat emotional shock because it helps bring yourself back to you and the loving being that you are.
Moving up your body to the top of your shoulders.
We treat gallbladder 21.
Most of us feel so good when we are touched here or massaged here because we carry so much tension in our head,
Shoulders,
And neck.
This point helps to descend energy and release stress and tension that we have in our body.
And it also helps to release stress and tension that we have in our body.
That we hold in the upper body.
It also helps to alleviate anger and reduce blood pressure.
It is also very useful for when you feel like you're carrying the burden of the world on your shoulders.
So we activate this point to help you let all of that go.
And just breathe deeply and fully and relax.
And now we treat the point yin-tang.
Which is the third eye point between the eyebrows and the middle of your forehead.
Activating this point powerfully calms the spirit and reduces restlessness and anxiety.
It connects with the pineal gland and promotes deep relaxation as well as insight.
Next we will go back to the inside of the wrist but this time on the side of the thumb.
And we're going to activate lung 7.
Lung 7 helps us cope with any grief and challenging life experiences.
It helps us get in touch with what we are truly feeling.
Many of us have a hard time sitting with our sadness.
And so sometimes it shows up as anger.
But what we're actually feeling is hurt and wounded.
This point helps bring awareness to what we're actually feeling so that we can release it and let it go.
So just keep breathing.
Let your lungs fill up with air.
And then fully exhale.
The last point we're going to activate today is lung 8.
Lung 8 is the third eye point.
The last point we're going to activate today is stude 20 which is on the very top of your head.
This point helps to ground energy and ease anxiety and overthinking.
It helps to clear the mind so you can feel focused and present.
It is also beneficial for depression and sadness.
Breathe deeply as this point is activated and allow your nervous system to completely calm and regulate itself.
So just keep breathing and relaxing as all of these points have been activated.
Regulating the flow of qi and blood in your entire system.
Letting anything that has been stuck move through.
Letting your mind and body that has been stuck move through.
Allowing the qi and the blood to nourish every piece of you.
Bringing you back into total balance.
Into total flow.
Letting all of the energy move exactly as it was meant to.
Restoring perfect health to your body,
Your mind and your energetic system.
Take as much time as you need allowing all these points to do their job and when you are ready and you feel that your virtual acupuncture session is complete we will remove these energetic activations but know that the free flow of energy has been activated that the free flow of energy has been restored and will continue throughout the day long after this session is over.
Come back to this virtual acupuncture session as often as you need.
