The Ecstatic Breath is a rhythmic two-part breathing practice that awakens the body’s inner energy and clears the pathways between mind and spirit. This practice guides you through 3 rounds of activating breaths followed by deep stillness. You’ll move beyond ordinary awareness into a state of expanded presence — a direct experience of your truest self. This guided journey invites you to release tension, awaken inner vitality, and rest in the luminous silence that follows the breath. As the body opens and energy flows freely, a natural sense of bliss and connection arises — a remembrance of who you really are.

Welcome,

My name is Alok and I'm happy to guide you on this ecstatic breathwork practice.

This practice shifts the chemistry of the brain and the body in a way that opens profound altered states.

Breathwork is deeply healing and can induce feelings of bliss,

Unity,

Or sense of timelessness.

I recommend lying down for this practice unless you're very experienced and you prefer sitting up.

If at any time you are uncomfortable,

Just breathing normally through the nose.

The first 10 breaths will be a two-part inhale through the mouth,

Full exhale through the mouth.

The next 10 breaths will then transition into a slightly faster rhythm with full inhale and exhale through the mouth in a circular breath.

After about 30 breaths,

We'll exhale all the air out,

Holding the breath out for about a minute,

And then filling the lungs completely,

Holding the breath in for about another minute.

After that,

We'll exhale with the sound om together to release.

Get ready by lying down,

Finding a nice comfortable place and closing down the eyes,

Setting an intention for this practice.

Let's start with some foundational breaths.

Deep breath in,

Exhale through the mouth.

One more like that.

Deep breath in.

Get ready.

We'll start with a two-part inhale in three,

Two,

One.

Last breath before we speed it up.

You're doing great.

Keep going.

You're almost there.

Completely empty the lungs and hold the breath at the bottom of your exhale.

Feel the spaciousness.

If you can,

Hold your breath for another 30 seconds.

Always take a sip of air if you need it.

Nice work.

We'll take a full breath in in three,

Two,

One.

Feel that expansiveness.

Take another sip of air if you can.

Hold it in.

We'll exhale the sound om in three.

Feel peace filling your body.

Every cell of your body is pulsing with healing energy.

We'll start with a two-part inhale in three,

Two,

One.

Last breath before we speed it up.

We'll take a full breath in three,

Two,

One.

Feel the expansiveness.

Feel the space.

Feel the space.

Feel the space.

Feel the space.

Take a full breath in in three,

Two,

One.

Feel that expansiveness.

Take another sip of air if you can.

Hold it in.

We'll exhale the sound om in three.

Ride the waves of bliss rising within you.

Remembering you are a being of light.

Prepare for the third and final round.

Take a deep breath.

Let out a sigh.

We'll start with a two-part inhale in three,

Two,

One.

Last breath before we speed it up.

Keep going.

You're almost there.

Then exhale all the air out.

Completely empty the lungs and hold the breath at the bottom of your exhale.

Feel the spaciousness.

If you can,

Hold your breath for another 30 seconds.

You can always take a sip of air if you need to.

If you need it.

Be gentle with yourself.

Feel that healing energy flowing through the body.

Take this energy with you through the rest of your day or week.

Remember you're whole and complete just as you are.

Lie here as long as you like to incorporate the session.

And when you get up,

Move slowly and mindfully.
