This reflection invites a gentle inquiry into the sense of personal identity. Praise and blame, certainty and doubt, success and failure are allowed to arise just as they are, without reference to a separate self at their centre. As the belief in a personal identity is seen as an appearance within inseparable awareness, life is no longer experienced as something happening to someone. Experience continues, yet it is recognized as the natural, impersonal unfolding of life itself. A contemplative resting place that points to ease, openness, and the timeless presence in which all experience appears.

Transcript

A short contemplative reflection by Pratikha.

Take a moment to settle.

There is nothing to do here.

Nothing personal.

Praise,

Judgment,

And blame appear.

Agreement,

Doubt,

And misunderstanding arise.

Success,

Uncertainty,

And failure come and go.

All of this unfolds within one's presence of awareness,

Yet no personal self is found at its core.

When the belief in a personal identity is seen as appearance within inseparable awareness alone,

Life is no longer felt or experienced as personal.

All is simply recognized as the natural unfolding of life as itself,

Unconditionally,

Eternally.

Now,

Rest in what timelessly is.
