Today you will be guided to explore the profound benefits of letting go of expectations of yourself,

And life experiences.
Expectations often lead to stress,
Disappointment,
And a sense of unfulfillment.
By releasing these expectations,
You open yourself up to a more peaceful and content life.
If you do not have expectations,
You will not be disappointed whenever life throws you a curveball.
Find a comfortable seated position or lie down,
Preparing for this soothing practice.
Close your eyes softly,
Bringing your attention to your breath.
Begin by taking a few deep breaths in through your nose,
Counting to five.

Pause for three seconds.

And exhale slowly out through your mouth,
Counting to six.
With each breath,
Feel yourself becoming more present and grounded in this moment,
Releasing any tension you may be feeling.
Continue to breathe deeply,
Inhale for a count of five,
Hold for a count of three,
And exhale for a count of six.
Repeat this cycle several times,
Allowing each breath to draw you deeper into a state of relaxation and stillness.
Gently return to your normal breathing and observe how you are feeling.
Allow your entire body to relax as you exhale and enter into a deep state of calm.
Bring your awareness to the concept of expectations.
Recognize that expectations often create unnecessary pressure and limit your ability to fully experience the present moment and life.
Visualize yourself holding a balloon.
This balloon represents your expectations.
With each breath out,
Release a bit of air from that balloon,
Symbolizing your willingness to let go of expectations.
Focus on the expectations you have for yourself.
Acknowledge that you are a work in progress and it's okay not to have everything figured out.
Release the pressure to meet specific standards and let yourself be in this moment without judgment.
Let go of more air from your balloon of expectations and relax.
Shift your attention to the expectations you may have of others.
Recognize that everyone is on their own journey and you cannot control their actions or choices.
Allow yourself to release the need for approval or validation from external sources.
Let go of more air from the balloon and continue to breathe.
Extend this practice to life experiences.
Accept that not everything will go according to your plan and that's perfectly fine.
Embrace the uncertainty and trust that each experience,
Whether positive or challenging,
Contributes to your growth and evolution.
Let go of all the air from the balloon and let it fall to the ground.
See it transform into light.
Return to your breath.
Feel the rhythm of your breath as it flows freely and naturally without the weight of expectations.
Take a moment to appreciate the freedom that comes with releasing expectations,
Allowing a sense of lightness and peace to wash over you.
When you are ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to the surface beneath your body.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and slowly open your eyes.
