
Sweet Memories

There are memories of people in our lives that can be sweet, bitter, or both. It's fascinating that whatever our ancestors have done, we love our them no matter what. There is always a desire to love, a longing to connect and love. This practice is in celebration of Memorial Day.

Because it is Memorial Day,
As Adrienne pointed out,
It's memories.
There are memories and they're memories of people in our lives,
Both living and deceased,
That can be sweet,
Can be bitter,
Can be both.
I'm always fascinated with the work that I get to do with Zoetic,
That no matter what our parents have done,
We human beings have this remarkable capacity that we love our mothers and our fathers somehow or another,
No matter what.
And there may be somebody out there who goes,
Uh-uh,
You didn't know my mother,
Uh-uh,
You didn't know my father,
And I do not love him or her,
Whatever.
And yet underneath of that,
There is always some kind of a pang.
There is a longing to love and that longing is there as a result of that we do love.
So it's allergy season,
I'm a little itchy everywhere right now.
Excuse me,
Just gonna allergy nose here.
In the way that we work as human beings,
When something is sweet and wonderful,
It's part of the flow and we don't necessarily hold on to it quite as much as we do the awful or the gunky or the cranky stuff.
Flow flows and the stuff that we hold on to isn't flowing,
So we're holding on to it.
And then it tends to live like that's the bulk of how something is or was.
And that can be with anybody in our lives,
Alive or deceased,
Including ourselves.
So on this Memorial Day,
I wanted us to look at,
Thanks to A,
Again,
Memories.
And it might take a little work this morning,
Afternoon,
Evening,
Depending on your time frame,
To locate the sweetness.
Some of us have already done a tremendous amount of work personally to release the gunky parts.
And in that clump of people,
There is a,
It depends,
Sometimes people really have released it and sometimes it's just been a good old college try,
But releasing it hasn't actually happened.
I will do a little promotion for zoetic workshops.
When we're back in business,
In person,
The third level course with zoetic workshops has people complete with whoever so completely that there really is nothing left but flow.
All that's present is love.
It's a lot of work.
It's really hard work.
It's also,
As my oldest son's girlfriend has told me,
The word to use is wondrous.
It is some of the hardest thing you'll ever do.
It's also one of the most wondrous things you'll ever do.
So that's our third level course.
Sometimes we say,
Or have been trained to say,
I'm complete and yet all that emotional gunk comes up anyway,
Or at least some of the emotional gunk comes up anyway,
When we think about that person or that event.
So in the meditation today,
What I want to explore is releasing on a deeper level,
In that deeper level of consciousness where synapses have been grooved by you or by me or by all of us a little bit more deeply,
In a little bit more of a pronounced way because it's the gunk and it's not flow,
And see if we can relinquish some of the hold that we have and just be left in the sweetness,
Like milk and honey,
Flowing,
Nurturing,
And sweet.
Okay,
So let's go tripping down memory lane.
Here we go.
Place your body in a way that has flow to it.
So arms open,
Hands open,
Feet open or flat,
Either way,
Whichever really is more comfortable for you.
If they're flat,
It's more grounding.
If they're hanging out like you're sitting down,
Your feet are just out facing the room or lying down and feet out facing the room.
Either way is really fine.
If they are flat,
You want to possibly,
Excuse me,
Move your feet just a little way away from each other and let your knees fall in so that you don't have to do any work to hold them up.
If you wear glasses,
Take them off.
If you have a phone,
Please turn it off.
And still recognize that life happens.
So dogs bark,
Phones ring,
Children laugh,
Cars go by,
Horns honk,
Sometimes depending where you live,
Sirens happen.
Just include and include and include and include and include and include.
And the more you and I can include,
Frankly,
The more we're in the flow.
And taking that a little bit more to what it really is,
The more we are the flow.
So with all that said,
Take a deep breath in from all directions,
Omnidirectional breathing,
Top bottom sides,
Front and back,
Through all the nooks and crannies and crevices,
All the roundnesses,
Breathing all the way in,
Filling the entirety of your body with pure white light.
Hold that breath.
Locate anything at all not of the light and breathe out omnidirectionally,
Every which way,
However the breath goes is great.

Again breathing deeply in from all directions,
Pure white light filling the entirety of your body down to the tiniest lepton,
Smaller than a quark,
Smaller than a Higgs boson particle,
A lepton.
And just hold that breath,
Hold that white light inside of you.
Locate anything at all that is not of that pure white light in you.
Sniff in just a wee bit more pure white light.
Hold that and just let all that go.
Breath going out omnidirectionally every which way.
And one more time,
Breathing pure white light in omnidirectionally,
Filling the entirety of your system from the tips of your hair to the tips of your fingers to the tips of your toes,
Internally,
Absolutely filled to the brim with pure white light.
Locate any last vestiges of anything that is not of the light.
Gently surround whatever that is with pure white light.
Sniff in just a little bit more pure white light.
Hold that and just let all that go,
Every direction,
All directions.
And now just breathe.
Continue to breathe in and out omnidirectionally.
Pure white light in and pure white light out.
Pure white light out and pure white light in.
Breath is a circle.
There is no beginning,
There is no end.
Pure white light is everywhere.
You can breathe it in from everywhere.
And you can breathe it out to everywhere.
There is no top to the breath,
There is no bottom to the breath.
There is only breathing in and breathing out and breathing out and breathing in.
Pure white light in,
Pure white light out,
Pure white light out,
Pure white light in.
It's a circle,
A continuum of pure white light in you,
A continuum of pure white light being emitted from you and through you.
And as this breath is consciously continuing,
Now surround the whole of yourself with pure white light.
Covering yourself entirely,
Top,
Bottom,
Sides,
Front and back.
Underneath,
Covering all the nooks,
All the crannies,
All the crevices.
Who you are is a being.
Who you are is a being of pure white light,
Within and without,
And everything in between.
And bring into your consciousness the number nine,
And just feel yourself going deeper.
Nine,
Deeper,
Nine,
Deeper,
And deeper.
Eight,
Eight,
Eight,
Deeper,
And deeper.
Seven,
Seven,
Seven,
Seven,
Deeper,
And deeper.
Six,
Six,
Deeper,
Six,
Deeper,
Six,
Deeper,
And deeper.
Five,
Five,
Five,
Five,
Deeper,
And deeper,
Four,
Four,
Four,
Four,
Five,
Deeper,
And deeper,
Three,
Deeper,
Three,
Deeper,
Three,
Deeper,
And deeper,
Two,
Two,
Two,
Two,
Three,
Deeper,
And deeper,
One,
Two,

Deeper,
And deeper.
Just allow yourself to reside in the vibration that you are right now.
Allow yourself to simply be as you are right now.
Let yourself sink into wherever you are sitting or lying down,
And let yourself feel how everything in you is supported and secure right now.
Let your body go a little bit more.
Let it go a little bit more,
And just completely let go.
Feel how there is no attention on your body and what that feels like,
Allowing you to just be.
If you have a thought,
Let that thought happen,
And let that go.
If you can feel anything in your body,
Just let that feeling happen,
And let that go.
Keep letting go.
Just let go.
And breathe.
Just letting yourself be right now.
Bring into your consciousness one person,
Either alive or deceased,
It doesn't matter.
It could be someone else,
It could be yourself,
Somebody you know personally.
Bring into your memory one event,
Something with that person that still lives in you like it's not resolved,
It's not okay,
It's not good.
It may even be painful.
And notice that it is still there in your consciousness,
And just let that be.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
And just let that memory be right now.
And now intentionally bring in one memory with that same person,
Something that's sweet,
Something that you know is filled with goodness and love.
It could just be a mother carrying you in her womb,
Or changing your diaper.
It could be a birthday party,
Or a walk,
Or one confession,
Or simply a gentle touch.
It could be a moment of looking into each other's eyes.
It could be the feel of that person's arms around you.
It could be simply a nod,
An acknowledgement of some way that you are good,
And of which they look proud,
Or at least acknowledging,
Recognizing your value,
Your worth.
And let that memory be right now.
We will call that the memory of sweetness.
Allow that sweet memory to wash over the other memory.
Allow the memory of sweetness to completely surround your other memory in the best of ways with gentleness and love.
And allow the memory of sweetness to infuse your other memory,
Filling your other memory with the memory of sweetness,
Somehow trusting that that not so good memory,
Whether recognized or not,
Either has been or can be of service to you,
Overlaid with and infused with the memory of sweetness.
And let yourself feel the shift in you.
And breathe that in and breathe that out.
And allow yourself to be filled to the brim with the memory of sweetness as it surrounds and infuses every aspect of you.
Feel that memory of sweetness as it fills your cells,
As the memory of sweetness fills your skeletal system,
Fills your glandular system,
Fills your vascular system.
Feel the memory of sweetness as it fills your nervous system and allow the memory of sweetness to fill all of your consciousness mentally,
Physically,
Emotionally,
Spiritually,
Ethereally.
Allowing yourself to be in the wonder as the memory of sweetness resides in all of you,
Infusing all of you.
Breathe that in,
Breathe that out,
Filled with the flow of sweetness.
Allow that sweetness to bring you to the essence of you,
Your own sweetness,
The love being that you are.
And bring your own sweetness and your own love into your cells,
Into your memory banks,
Into every aspect of you.
Finding inside of you gratitude for being you,
Who you are.
Breathe that in,
Breathe that out and just be.
Allowing yourself to be the flow,
Like milk and honey,
Nurturing,
Nourishing and sweet.
It is the nature of you.
I'm going to begin counting up from one to nine.
As I do,
Allow your consciousness to rise from level to level with numbers.
When I say the number nine,
Gently open your eyes and allow yourself to be present in your body,
In the room that you are in.
One,
Two,
Three.
Feel your conscious mind arising.
Four,
Five,
Six.
Begin to feel yourself in your body,
Where and how you are sitting,
The air around you.
Seven,
Eight,
Nine.
Gently open your eyes and allow yourself to be present in your body and in this room,
Wherever you are.
