What if you could carry that effortless holiday feeling—the deep surrender of leaving everything behind—into your daily life? This guided practice invites you to melt into relaxation, release what no longer serves you, and reconnect with your natural state of flow. You’ll explore how it feels to let go (just like you do when stepping onto a train or plane for vacation) and then try something new: visualizing your best-case scenario from this unburdened, inspired place. Bring a pen and paper—there’s time to journal during the practice (though imagining works too!). Writing from this state of flow can be especially powerful. A gentle reminder: Stress isn’t the only option. If you can imagine tension, you can also imagine ease. If you can picture being stuck, you can just as easily visualize flowing. Come as you are. Leave a little lighter.

So yeah,

I wonder if on that note,

With that word of celebration,

I like that as an opening,

A doorway today.

If you can,

In your own time,

At your own will,

Begin to gently,

In degrees,

Melt back into the surface that you're sitting on.

Perhaps even melt back your mind.

I wonder what that might feel like for any of you here today.

Melting into the moment,

Slowly at your own pace,

Perhaps even being a little bit curious about where that melting might take you.

I wonder if your melting happens through your breath as it deepens,

Or does it happen through gently closing your eyelids?

Perhaps it's through leaning your head back,

Or perhaps it's through twitching your body parts to release tension.

I wonder how you will melt back today in this moment.

And as you begin to move deeper and deeper into a more relaxed state,

Only relaxing as much as feels right for you,

I wonder when you let go just a little bit more of your day,

Your week,

Your month,

Your year.

Letting it all go like you do when you finally step onto that plane or that train.

Or into the car and set off for your vacation.

That feeling I've packed what I need and for these many days whatever I leave behind can wait.

All the stress,

All the tension,

All the have-tos,

The musts,

They can all wait.

Really feel that feeling.

I'm pretty sure we've all experienced it at least once.

It's beautiful,

That deep letting go.

It's really an inner permission that we give ourselves only under certain circumstances,

Only under certain conditions.

And I wonder if you can break that rule for yourself and say,

Why not?

Why not have it every day?

It's like the special dinner party sets that I inherited from my parents,

The expensive one that you only bring out for dinner parties and birthdays,

Special occasions.

And one day I decided every meal was a celebration and switched to using the special plates every day.

Beautiful.

Always in the state of knowing what we would leave behind if we went on holiday.

Isn't that really interesting?

Every one of us knows what we're willing to take on holiday and what we're willing to leave behind that can wait.

Concentrate.

Really bring that feeling up.

Notice how it feels in your body.

How do you know what you leave behind and what you take?

Notice what you leave behind.

The tension.

Where does it leave through your body?

Where do you carry that tension in your everyday life?

No one else can tell you.

But you know when you slow down and listen.

So concentrate and notice.

Own your focus so you allow your body to be filled with that same level of letting go and relaxation that you feel when you go on vacation.

That is still you.

The unfettered you.

Notice what you shake off.

And more importantly,

Notice what you're doing to shake it off.

Only you can do that for yourself.

Beautiful.

It's like the ease and joy of a dolphin playing in the ocean.

Sunshiney.

Maybe you're an ocean.

Maybe you're an ice person and you love the snow and the cold.

Gliding down the ski slopes.

Just freedom.

Walking in the forest.

Feeling safe among the trees.

The light filtered through the leaves.

So many different ways to let go.

Concentrate deeper and deeper into this experience.

Notice what it takes to concentrate and concentrate even more.

I wonder what you might see.

Whatever you see,

Allow it to move through you and take you deeper into this state.

I wonder what you might hear.

Sound of a lone wolf in the distance.

The splashing in the water.

The wind.

Whatever it is that you hear,

Lean into it and allow it to move through you,

Taking you deeper into this experience.

I wonder what you feel.

Delight,

Joy,

And ease.

Inspiration.

Perhaps even trepidation.

Whatever it is you feel,

Allow it to move through you and to take you deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Concentrate and notice everything.

Welcome whatever messages you might receive.

Own your intention to keep yourself in this space.

Notice what pulls you out.

Ah,

Welcome.

Notice what brings you back.

Ah,

Welcome.

Just a dance,

Moving in and out of connection with your deepest self.

Now I invite you to open your eyes while still concentrating to stay in this relaxed state.

Of openness and inspiration.

I invite you to write down,

If you wish,

Or think about it,

Your best case scenario for the following week.

What would you like to do?

And while you write to imagine it,

To keep imagining doing it from this place,

From this place of deep relaxation and flow.

Notice when tension comes up and pause.

And first get back and connect with the state to be,

And then try again.

Constantly practicing,

Visualizing doing the task or being who you want to be from this state.

Take a few minutes to do that.

As you write,

Notice what pulls you out of ease and notice what brings you back.

Most important,

Notice what you do that brings you back to flow and ease.

Whenever you're ready,

Set your pens down to take the time to go back deeper,

Back to that place,

To that feeling state of letting it all go.

Everything you wrote down on the paper,

Everything that you thought about in your mind,

To practice letting it all go like you would if you got on the bus,

Got on the train,

The plane,

To go on vacation.

And with purpose and intention in your mind to practice getting back to that place,

Knowing that it will all get done when you return.

This practice isn't about getting things done,

It's about returning to this place of ease and flow,

Unfettered,

Unburdened,

First getting there and then taking action from that place.

It's about a beautiful way to move through the worlds,

Through your world.

With no weight,

No baggage,

Just inspiration and the power of your mind to create what you can visualize,

What you can imagine.

You can imagine being burdened,

You can also imagine being unburdened.

You can imagine stress,

You can also imagine ease,

You can imagine being blocked and stuck.

You can also imagine being in flow,

Moving gently through the worlds within your capacity,

Within your own ability,

Relaxed and safe.

As we wrap up this practice,

I invite you to gather all the little and big learnings as if they were each a flower in your own personal bouquet.

Gather them up in your arms,

Holding them close,

Making the commitment to stay connected in some way to this experience during the week.

I wonder how you will do that for yourself.

How will you remember to go on vacation all day every day while also living your beautiful,

Complicated,

Simple and magical life?

Slowly,

Slowly at your own pace,

Taking all the time you need.

You might like to wiggle your toes and fingers,

You might like to pat your arms or your legs.

Slowly,

Slowly letting the world back in at your own pace.

Whenever you're ready,

Open your eyes and come back into the room.

Welcome back.
