Good morning.

Welcome to Silent Morning,

A sitting meditation to jumpstart your day.

This simple meditation practice is an invitation to start your day with stillness.

Before you race to connect with the world,

Slow down and connect with yourself first.

You will be more peaceful and grounded to face the day ahead.

In the morning,

When the world around you is waking up,

Ground yourself by retreating to a quiet space with a view of nature.

This can be a view from a window or a view in front of a picture.

You can even be outdoors during this meditation,

But it is important to immerse yourself in nature for a few moments before starting your day.

So as we begin,

Allow yourself to settle into this space,

Into this moment,

Into this breath.

Soften any space in your body that's holding tension.

This could be your face,

Your eyes,

Your neck,

Or even your abdominal muscles.

Just relax and let it go.

Once you have chosen your sacred space to sit,

Or you can also lay or stand if you prefer,

Set a timer for the amount of time your morning will allow.

This could be 10 minutes,

20 minutes,

Or even five minutes.

Just sit in stillness.

Don't look at your phone.

Don't look at a book or magazine and resist the urge to jot down notes or really to do anything other than just sit.

As you're sitting,

Take in the view,

Slowly moving your awareness through each part of the scene.

Notice what you see,

What you smell,

What you hear,

What you feel,

And even what you taste.

Just sit in stillness,

Just being,

And nothing else.

As you're sitting in stillness,

Pay attention to what brings you peace,

What brings you unease.

Notice what stirs any emotion or energy within you.

Don't act upon it,

Just notice it and continue to sit.

Breathe slowly and deeply as you continue to connect your awareness to nature.

Relax into the silence and the stillness of this morning moment.

You can sit here as long as you like,

Just being,

Not doing.

You can pause this meditation now and continue to sit and restart it whenever you like.

When your timer goes off,

Invite the peace that you cultivated during this moment to remain with you throughout the day.

Express gratitude to yourself,

To any emotions or sensations that you felt,

And to the nature seen in front of you.

And most importantly,

Express gratitude to the stillness you created during these morning moments of silence.

Have a wonderful day.

Namaste.

Out of curiosity, I wanted to listen to a 2nd one of your recordings. This is like the shorter version of the previous one πŸ˜ƒ Volume here is perfect for me πŸ‘πŸ» My nature connection in the concrete jungle has been a giant tree right next to my house, which I love and treasure dearly for about 20 years now πŸ™ŒπŸ» 🌳

Interesting and different. I was able to look at the trees in front of my house and immerse in the movement of the birds eating crabapples.
