Welcome to three rounds of Simha Kriya.

In today's session,

We're gonna be breathing in and out through the mouth only.

Click the link above to see the full step-by-step guide on how to do Simha Kriya.

We're gonna be doing 42 total breaths per round,

21 breaths with our tongue all the way out,

And 21 breaths with our tongue folded up so that the tip of the tongue is pressing on the roof of the mouth.

So get set,

Close the eyes,

Stick the tongue all the way out,

And begin.

Fold the tongue up,

In and out through the mouth.

Keep going.

And now for today's reading.

The Second Book of the Tao,

By Stephen Mitchell,

Verse 34.

The master lives in the center,

The immature live on the edge of things,

Unsatisfied,

Always reaching for what is not.

The master lives in harmony,

The immature pick and choose,

Accept some things,

Reject some,

And make themselves miserable trying to control the world.

When things seem to be in discord,

Return to the center.

The master lives in the center of the universe,

Which turned out to be the center of himself.

He discovered that there is nothing to it,

No self,

No other.

Amazing,

Wherever you go,

There you aren't.

The immature live in the center too,

It's just that they're not aware of it yet.

They put their thoughts between themselves in the center,

And presto,

They're outside,

Teetering on the edge of things,

Looking for love in all the wrong places,

Trading life and liberty for a pursuit of happiness that scampers off as soon as it's pursued.

A pity.

Actually,

It's not a pity.

It's a path.

Discord becomes opportunity.

The center is always less than a thought away.
