In this meditation, we will imagine walking through a labyrinth. Our brain resembles a labyrinth and each section of our brain is responsible for functions and when we consciously utilize these functions we can increase joy and peace.

Hi,

I am Laura aka Zen Diva For You,

The Ambassador of Zen Nation,

Here to assist in enriching our lives,

Body,

Mind,

And spirit.

Are you at peace and filled with joy?

In this meditation,

We will be walking through the labyrinth of our mind,

Looking for how we can strive to be at peace and filled with more joy.

What do we need to do to cultivate more peace and joy in our lives?

Let's explore that in this meditation.

Get very comfortable,

Whether sitting or lying down.

Gently close your eyes.

Take several deep breaths at your own pace,

Inhaling through your nose and blowing it out your mouth gently.

Once more.

One last time.

The brain looks a lot like a labyrinth.

A labyrinth can be used to center the mind for contemplation and meditation.

We walk very slowly through the labyrinth,

Preparing our mind to slow down.

Imagine the grooves of our brain as many twists and turns,

Just like a labyrinth.

Imagine yourself walking very slowly through those grooves,

Those twists and turns.

While you are listening to me,

That activity is taking place in the temporal lobes located on the side of the head.

Let's take our time and explore that section of the labyrinth.

This area has to do with hearing,

Like hearing my voice or hearing music,

Perhaps the gentle sounds of an ocean.

Gently explore the temporal lobes of the labyrinth.

It has to do with learning.

Have you learned anything new that you enjoy,

Perhaps a game,

Arts and crafts?

The temporal lobe also has to do with feelings,

Emotions.

Are you fulfilled?

What brings you joy?

Let's continue to gently stroll through this labyrinth,

Up to the frontal lobe,

Located at the front of the head.

This has to do with thinking.

Can you think of any joyful events you have planned?

This area also has to do with memory.

Can you remember anything you participated in that brought you joy?

While speaking,

How does your words you speak contribute to joy in your life?

The frontal lobe regulates movement.

Don't you like dancing or the soothing sensation of rocking?

Gently walking through the labyrinth of the frontal lobe,

Exploring what brings joy to this area.

Now let's gently stroll back to the middle of the head.

The area associated with language.

Perhaps there's some lyrics to a song that you enjoy,

Or some literature that has been read to you before.

Language is also found in this area.

Perhaps we enjoy the smooth feel of velvet,

Or the grainy feel of sand sifting through our fingers,

Or the wetness of water.

All of these things can contribute to peace and joy.

Slowly walking through the labyrinth of our mind to the occipital lobe located at the back of our head.

This area has to do with vision.

Seeing with the mind's eye,

What are you visualizing that can bring you joy?

Also this area has to do with color perception.

Are your colors vivid or not?

Now let's stroll down to the cerebellum at the bottom of the head.

This area controls the balance.

How stable you are on your feet.

And also coordination.

Do you move smoothly with grace and ease?

What can contribute to our joy and fulfillment?

Now let's saturate our consciousness with the assurance that we are implementing these factors in pursuit of joy and peace.

Just envision yourself engaging in activities that contribute to joy and peace.

Enjoy that sensation.

Now let's take three very full and refreshing deep breaths at your own pace as we give thanks for this opportunity to quiet our mind and go within.

Resting in this moment of assurance that all is well and what we desire is being accomplished in the cosmos.

As above so below.

This has been your moment of zen with Zindi before you,

The ambassador of zen nation.

Until next time,

Be blessed.

Namaste.

Real different from most of what's on here, this is like slow spoken word. Really powerful for me. Thank you.
