Hi everyone,
Welcome to our Hunyuan meditation session.
The meditation technique that we are learning today has three parts to it.
We're calling it doing good,
Speaking good and thinking good.
The objective is to cultivate a sense of doing good or taking good actions,
Speaking good words and thinking only good thoughts.
And the first part that we are doing here in meditation is to start to breathe into the lower abdomen and we will do three sessions,
Three short sessions of meditation,
Two minutes each.
And when we do the meditation,
We take a deep breath and we focus on the lower abdomen and then we shift our focus to the heart,
To the chest area and then while I'm putting my hands on my thighs and I'm sitting on a chair in a regular sitting position with my back upright,
The posture is upright but sitting on a chair not on a floor,
I shift my consciousness from the heart to the hands and I'm establishing a connection from the lower abdomen to the heart and then to the hands.
My hands are resting on my thighs,
The palms could be facing down or facing up but this connection that we establish between the lower abdomen,
The heart and the hands is what we call doing good or we practice how the actions that I will do with my hands will be connected not only to my heart and desires but also to the origin in the lower abdomen.
So let's do two minutes of meditation the way we just described it.
Take a deep breath,
Focus on the lower dantian,
The lower abdomen also called dantian.
Relax the mind.
And then as we breathe in,
We shift the awareness to the center of the chest to the heart.
A few seconds later,
We shift it to the hands which are resting on my thighs and like this we do it a few times within the two minutes meditation from the lower abdomen to the heart to the hands.
Perfect.
The next meditation that we want to do in this session is speaking good.
So we do something similar to what we just did before.
The hands are resting on my thighs,
I'm sitting on a chair and as I breathe out,
I sink my intention into the lower abdomen first and feel the stillness.
A few seconds later,
I shift it to my center of the chest to the heart and a few seconds later,
I shift it into my mouth.
My mouth is filling with saliva,
I strain a little bit the muscles of my lips and then I go back to the lower abdomen and do it again and again in two minutes time.
I should do it about 10 or 15 times.
This is called speaking good.
I exercise the ability to connect the lower abdomen to the heart to the mouth which is the process by which words are generated.
And when this is well connected to the lower abdomen to the origin,
The words are naturally coming as good words.
So let's do two minutes of meditation like this.
We first take a deep breath and sink into the lower abdomen.
Focus on the stillness for a few seconds.
Then I shift my awareness to the center of the chest to the heart and I dwell there for a few seconds.
Then I shift my attention to my lips and my mouth.
I circle around my tongue in the mouth so saliva increases and when I do have saliva,
I swallow it very gently and as I swallow it,
I sink back into the lower abdomen and I start the process all over again.
The lower abdomen to the heart to the mouth and we do it a few times the remaining of the meditation now.
Congratulations.
Ah paint?
Excellent so now we're doing our going into our third meditation session and this time we're doing thinking good the process is the same I start with the stillness in the lower abdomen then shift my consciousness to the heart and then I bring it all the way up into my brain into the head into the crown on the top of the head and I stay there for a few seconds and then I go back into the lower abdomen let's do this for two minutes thinking good first I focus on the lower abdomen stay in stillness I shift my awareness to the heart I shift my awareness to the brain to the top of the head and then I go back down to the lower abdomen let's do it a few times for the remaining of the meditation you you thank you everyone for taking the honey on meditation session the technique we learned today is called do good speak good and think good I hope we have a wonderful rest of the day and I hope to see you in another when you on meditation session
