Life is a strange beast.
An amazing angel.
A blank canvas.
Whatever we want it to be,
We do have the power to create with intention.
Intention is a very,
Very important thing.
Life is a blank canvas.
What shall we paint on it now?
I'm remembering an amazing moment,
An amazing teaching about a swan.
The swan,
For me,
Is a beautiful symbol of grace,
Of sovereignty,
Of surrender,
Of power,
And of course,
Transformation.
We're here to transform.
We arrive with our own trail of tears.
And we have a choice to journey and transform ourselves into our swan.
A circle of feathers.
Our feather,
To me,
Reminds me of my connection to spirit.
A circle of feathers reminds me of community connected to spirit.
Together as one,
We are strong.
And when we come together in clarity,
In our strength,
Connected to our hearts with intention to benefit all beings,
We can do amazing things.
We can transform.
Wow,
We can transform so profoundly,
So quietly,
Or so amazingly brightly.
As we think,
So shall it be.
So it's really important that we consider our health and well-being on a mental,
Emotional,
Physical and spiritual level.
We are seeking alignment.
We are seeking synthesis.
We are seeking connection,
Balance,
Unity,
Celebration,
Peace,
Love.
So on this day,
I had finished a ceremony and had gone to the river,
The lake,
In fact,
In Scotland,
To give thanks for my experience on the inner levels with a swan.
Without a moment going by,
A majestic swan stepped out from behind a tree,
Maybe four feet in front of me.
I took an in-breath.
She was so beautiful.
There was the embodiment of my journey standing right before me,
Showing me something.
Now the part of me that wasn't connected fully to the present moment fumbled for my camera to take a picture,
To grasp at this beautiful moment,
To steal it forever.
Why would I need to do that when my heart can take a picture that will last a lifetime and still leave me present?
As I was fumbling with my camera,
The swan turned and walked slowly to the edge of the lake.
I felt a moment of sadness that somehow I had ruined something incredible.
Nothing happens by accident.
It's what we attach to it that makes it good or bad.
Mindfulness is a beautiful medicine.
As she glided away into the water,
I hear a loud voice from above me in the car park,
An abuse coming from a fisherman who was waving his hands,
Trying to show me that he had a fishing line in the water and the swan swam straight into it.
Her wings lifted,
She stood up in the water,
To her full height spread her incredible wings.
It was an incredible sight to see and she flapped.
I thought how amazing.
Until I realized she was caught on that hook.
My heart sank.
The man ran towards the water.
I ran towards the water.
At the same time we looked into each other's eyes.
I realized panic and guilt was useless.
He realized shouting and being angry was useless.
Just another way to disconnect.
We needed to breathe,
To ground,
To remember our heart,
Connect with breath to the great source above and bring our intention in for that swan who is a mirror of our beautiful selves in so many ways.
Now as we connected and brought the excitement down into a gentle lapping of the river,
The lake,
The swan brought her wings to a close.
This incredible majestic animal became absolutely still.
There was no panic.
She surrendered herself.
To the water.
To the moment.
To what was about to happen next.
The fisherman knelt down and started intuitively drawing the line in.
As he did this the swan effortlessly returned to the edge of the water.
I opened the energy and held the space with intention for her well being and her freedom to be returned.
She glided towards the edge of the lake and we discovered that the hook had caught the ring upon her foot and had not penetrated her being,
A miracle.
We removed the hook and the swan turned and looked at us with her wise,
Wise,
Sovereign eyes and we heard many things within that moment.
There were so many teachings.
I stood by the water and prayed and sent her healing and gave gratitude for this extraordinary experience,
A story to tell and teach and open the hearts of others to their own sovereignty and what gets in the way.
The fisherman and I talked.
He shared that this swans partner had been caught on barbed wire from children being very unpleasant and she had lost her life long partner and she swam upon the lake alone in her sovereignty.
How amazing that she was free.
She left the edge of the lake with pride and disappeared into the distance.
We said our goodbyes and talked for a moment in shared experience and thanked each other for what we had learnt.
And I drove to the cafe where I felt very,
Very strongly I had to tell this story of what had just happened to someone there.
Synchronicity is an amazing thing.
As I arrived at the cafe,
There was a lady I knew she was the one.
So I asked her if she would sit for a moment and could I share something with her.
I shared the story.
Her eyes filled with tears and she put her hand upon her heart and she knew why that story had to be told.
We both hugged and she said she knew the swan.
He came every day to be fed.
I said I think today I would like to feed him on that level as well as with my gratitude.
So I went down to the water's edge and there he was arriving at his next destination in a fine fettle with almost a smile on his beak.
I sat with him and shared gratitude and beauty for his abundant teachings and selfless act.
This beautiful being left when he was ready and we both sailed our own ships back to our own shore.
I give thanks for the mirrors.
I give thanks for my reflection to learn in life at every single turn.
Do not cast aside any event for within it you will see yourself reflected.
May you be happy.
May you be well.
May you be at peace.
And may your life be for the benefit of all.
Aho Matakuyo Yasen.
