Welcome.
You've arrived at a moment just for you.
A pause in the noise,
A return to stillness.
This practice is called your inner safe space and it's designed to help you reconnect with a deep sense of comfort,
Safety and warmth.
The kind that lives inside you always.
So take your time to settle in.
Let this be your gentle invitation to exhale the day and come home to yourself.
Let's begin by getting as cozy and supported as possible.
Lie down in your bed.
Pull a blanket over your body and let yourself settle in as if you're tucking yourself into comfort.
Take a slow gentle breath in and exhale softly allowing your body to drop a little deeper into the surface beneath you.
Feel the weight of the blanket,
Its softness on your skin,
The stillness of the room.
This is your time and nothing else is required of you.
Now with your eyes closed begin to imagine a space that feels completely safe and comforting.
It might be real somewhere you've been before or imagined something your heart longs for.
Let the image arrive like a soft daydream.
Start to look around.
What does this space look like?
What colors do you see?
Are there soft glowing lights or perhaps it's natural light?
What textures surround you?
Cushions?
Smooth wood?
Soft grass?
Feel the temperature around you.
Perhaps you feel a cool breeze or maybe it's cozy and warm.
Let yourself observe your beautiful space.
Now imagine yourself walking towards the coziest part of this space.
Maybe it's a thick nest of blankets,
A teepee or a hammock.
Whatever you see,
Make your way into it slowly.
Crawl in and let yourself nestle down inside your safe space.
You may roll onto your side into a fetal position.
Take a deep breath and feel a smile form on your lips.
Notice how it feels to be here in this soft space you've created for yourself.
There's nothing to do.
Nowhere to go.
You are simply resting.
You are welcome here.
Take a few more breaths,
Allowing this space to nourish you.
Let yourself soak in this sense of peace,
Warmth and safety.
Anytime you need it,
This place is yours.
You carry it inside you wherever you go.
You're here and you are safe.
You are doing wonderfully.
Stay here for as long as you like.
See you tomorrow.
