This extended track is designed to support deep rest while gently calming the nervous system and easing lower back tension. The guidance helps the body shift out of fight or flight and into a state of safety, where muscles can soften and the spine can settle naturally. You may drift in and out of sleep, or fall asleep completely, and that’s exactly how this track is meant to be used. Simply lie down comfortably and allow the sound to support your system throughout the night. Ideal for those with lower back pain. For best results, pair this track with a solid program that addresses the physical imbalances that contribute to lower back pain.

Laying on your bed on your back.

You may use a pillow underneath your head or no pillow at all.

Bend your knees.

Place your feet slightly wider than hip width apart.

Take a deep inhale.

And as you exhale,

Allow your knees to drop in towards each other.

Knees touching.

Legs and hips fully relaxed.

This position takes the pressure off your psoas muscle.

Signalling to your nervous system that it is safe.

Close your eyes.

Melt your body down into the bed.

Uncrease your forehead.

Unclench your jaw.

Shoulders heavy.

Arms heavy.

Keeping your eyes closed.

Keep your head still.

And move only your eyes all the way to the left side.

Left.

Like you're looking to the left.

Hold your eyes in this position.

Breathe.

If your body wants to let out a sigh or a yawn,

Allow it to do so.

Moving the eyes stretches gently through the vagus nerve.

The nerve that controls the state of our nervous system.

And bring your eyes back to centre.

Rest here.

Allowing any tension in your eyes to dissolve.

And now keeping your head centre and eyes closed.

Look all the way to the right.

Moving just the eyes.

Hold.

Hold.

Allow your system to release any noises,

Sighs or yawns.

You may notice some tears as well.

This is completely normal.

Breathing smoothly.

And bring your eyes back to centre.

Feel the waves of relaxation run through your body.

Bring the palms of your hands together.

And start to rub them together.

Generate your energy between your palms.

Continue rubbing until you can feel some moistness upon your skin.

And now you're going to place your charged hands right over your kidneys.

Place your hands behind your back.

Just underneath where your ribcage ends.

They should be sitting a little high up from the lower back.

This placement does not have to be perfect.

Adjust your body so you are comfortable.

Feel the contact of your hands over your kidney area.

In traditional Chinese medicine,

The emotion of fear lives inside the kidneys.

Rest.

Breathe deeply.

Feel your breath push your diaphragm down.

And notice how your belly rises as a side effect.

And feel the expansion of your ribs.

How they move gently into your hands.

Stay in this moment.

Breathing deeply.

Feeling the subtle movement of your ribs moving into your hands.

Rest.

Sending energy to your kidneys.

Comforting your nervous system.

Allowing it to sink deeply into that sensation of safety.

And keeping your hands in contact with your body.

Very slowly slide them outwards to the sides of your waist.

And slide them down.

Placing them just above the crease of your hips.

Your psoas muscle lays directly underneath your hands.

When this muscle is tight,

It pulls on the lower back.

Feel the warmth of your hands penetrate down through the skin.

Visualize your energy reaching your psoas muscle.

Feel it unclench.

Feel your lower back sink down into the bed.

Feel the gentle rise of your belly into your hands.

Stay in this moment.

Feel your breath move in through your nose.

Down your spine.

And pull in the hips and lower back.

Pull your energy into this area.

As you do this energy work,

You may feel your skin start to tingle.

Some goose bumps appear.

Some more emotional releases coming through your body.

Allow everything to happen.

This is powerful work.

Continue drawing the energy down into your lower back and hips.

And take one deep inhale.

As you exhale,

Gently slide your legs down straight.

Place your hands wherever they are comfortable.

On your belly or to your sides.

Take a moment to allow your hips to relax into this new position.

Allow your spine to sink down into the bed.

Unclench your glutes.

Legs completely heavy.

Slide your legs wide apart.

And place your arms out to the sides like you are a starfish.

Expanding your body.

Taking up space.

Feeling so safe.

The only movement occurring is your belly rising up to the ceiling with every breath.

Open your mouth wide.

Stretching through the jaw and the face.

And relax.

One more time.

Opening your mouth wide.

Feel your muscles contract.

And then relax.

One last time.

Opening your mouth as wide as it will go.

And relaxing.

Allowing this wave of relaxation to spread through your face.

And all the way down the vagus nerve.

Allow any releases to come through.

And now moving slowly.

Roll onto whichever side is most comfortable for you.

Use a pillow underneath your head.

And another pillow in between your knees.

Place your arms in front of your chest.

Or you may hug your pillow.

And rest in this fetal position.

Feeling so safe.

Like you're inside your mother's womb.

Breathing slowly and deeply.

Noticing how relaxed your body feels.

You have nowhere to go,

Nowhere to be.

Nothing to do.

Your cells have been activated into healing.

Allow your body to drift off into a deep state of relaxation.
