Just as infants and children benefit from calming rituals at the end of the day to prepare for sleep, so too do adults. By incorporating these affirmations into your evening ritual, you’ll be promoting a state of deep relaxation, while helping your mind and body unwind from the day. These affirmations can help reduce stress, clear your mind, release tension in your body, invite gratitude, and move you into a deep state of calm and peace before falling asleep. Namaste.

Good evening.

My name is Amanda and these affirmations are intended to help you let go of the day.

They are intended to help bring you into the present moment and to prepare your mind and body for deep rest and sleep.

Once the affirmations are complete,

I'll let the music play on for a few moments for your enjoyment.

If you haven't already,

Use the next few moments to prepare your room for sleep.

Close blinds and curtains.

Turn off lights and notifications on your phone.

Ensure that you're as comfortable as possible.

Cozy and warm,

But not too hot.

When you're ready,

Close down your eyes and begin to deepen your breath.

Breathing in deeply from your belly,

Allowing each exhale to be long,

Slow,

And intentional.

Each breath helping you to release tension and tightness that has built up from the day.

Each breath helping to bring your mind and body into relaxation.

As you continue to breathe deeply,

Let your awareness fall onto your body.

Feel the weight of your body on the surface beneath you.

Note that each breath is helping your body sink deeper and deeper into a relaxed state.

As you listen to the following affirmations,

You might also choose to silently repeat each one to yourself.

Let these positive affirmations bring you comfort and lull you into deep sleep.
