Hey friends,
Welcome to your grounding energy meditation.
Take this meditation in an upright seated position,
Whatever that might look like for your body today.
You might choose to prop yourself up with pillows or blankets under the sit bones,
Maybe even a block.
As you take your seat,
We'll find a tall spine.
Let the shoulders soften.
As the eyes close,
Let them fall heavy.
Softening the jaw,
The cheeks.
Just to settle us into this space,
Let's take the hands in front of us,
Clasp and interlace the palms and then press the palms forward so that you're stretching the inner wrists and the arms are reaching in front of you.
And then take your next inhale,
Reach the arms up and overhead.
Take a really big good morning kind of stretch.
And then with your exhale,
Hold here an extra moment,
Keep reaching a little taller.
Let the shoulders soften and again inhale,
Reach really tall.
Exhale,
Allow the arms to slowly release and let the palms face down on the legs wherever they fall.
Getting this instant rush of heat and blood flow towards the hands.
Energy here.
Notice the warmth between the legs and the hands.
Take a moment to maybe shift a little bit onto one sit bone and then the other.
Pressing your weight to one side and the other.
Feeling supported in this space.
You might notice that the sit bones in the base of the spine where our Mooladhara root chakra lies is really grounded here to the mat or to your block,
Your blanket.
As if our body is actually flowering and growing up from the earth.
So as we turn our focus towards the breath,
Noticing first the quality of your inhales,
The quality of your exhales.
See if your breath can start to become a little bit longer through the nose coming in and softly out of the nose going out.
Always bringing in energy,
Breath,
A new moment.
There's just as much opportunity to let the breath,
The past moment,
Anything holding you back we can let that go with each breath out.
Your inhales expand you and create space for what you need.
Allow your exhales to soften you,
To release what no longer serves you.
You might notice as the breath becomes deeper now there's a little bit more breath down at the belly,
The abdomen,
Inflating through those core muscles and then gently pulling in and up with the navel on your breaths out.
Taking your next inhale and guiding the breath down towards the base of the spine.
You might picture the very last vertebrae at the tailbone,
Sacrum.
You might picture the breath coming way down towards the earth or the sit bones.
With your next exhale let the breath travel up the vertebrae all the way up through the spine towards the very crown of the head.
And again inhale breathe that all back in and down to the tailbone.
Exhale releasing all the way up the spine and to the crown of the head.
Again deep breath in expanding as the breath comes back in and down down the spine,
Down to the tail.
Exhale releasing the breath up the spine and through the crown of the head.
You You may start to picture this breath as a kind of light moving through the body across the spine becoming brighter and brighter.
At the very base of your tailbone we see this glowing red light or orb,
Our root chakra,
Grounding us here and showing us that we have purpose in anything we do and everything we choose to try.
Our challenges are only to show us just how strong we are to give us a new opportunity for just that opportunities.
Picture this light now flooding that only through the spine around the whole body.
As the body glows you see it become brighter with each breath in and gently soften with each breath out becoming aware that the earth is literally carrying you from here on.
It always has been and this light has always been here.
Sometimes we just need a little reminder.
You as you acknowledge your light,
Your purpose,
Take one hand over your heart space over the chest and the other hand right over top.
Feel the breath underneath the palms moving them,
Warming them as you notice the life that is here,
The energy here in your body.
Take this moment to send yourself a little thank you or a big thank you to yourself and your body for always being so strong even on the harder the messier days and all we need to do is take a moment for us.
Take one last deep breath in together through the nose for a really big cleansing breath so breathing to the very top of your belly your lungs and then let out a big sigh if you can big exhale maybe take that one more time if you need to a big inhale of all of your positive energy what makes you happy big exhale of what you no longer need it's your choice when you release it.
Thank you so much for joining me for this meditation.
Namaste.
