Hello friends and welcome to your meditation.
Thank you for making the conscious decision to sit and meditate and breathe when in strong emotions rather than reacting,
Disengaging.
So whatever it be that you're feeling right now,
Anger or sadness,
Heartache,
Shame,
Disappointment,
Fear,
Vulnerability,
Anxiety,
If you resonate with any of these or if there's something else you're feeling,
Please just know that each of these emotions are at the base level simply energy in motion,
Something trying to move through you to tell you something.
They mean nothing about you and they are simply appearing and disappearing for no one.
So before you sit down,
I would encourage you to take a long drink of water.
Take good care of yourself as we sit into this meditation.
The act of drinking water will ground our body,
It will take care of our body and it will soothe us.
As you begin to sit or lay down,
Making sure we're comfortable and the body is not touching anything that would distract us.
Begin to land home into your body.
Take a very deep breath in through your nose and open the mouth and let out a sigh.
Do this one more time.
Make some noise if you can.
Big breath in.
Exhale through your lungs,
Your heart,
Your chest,
Your belly and exhale.
Let it go.
Release the physical body completely.
Take another deep breath into your heart space,
Your whole chest cavity,
Filling it up and finally your belly,
Filling it up like a balloon.
Exhale soften the belly,
Draw the navel to spine.
Exhale soften your chest and the ribs.
Two more like this.
Inhale chest,
Belly.
Exhale belly,
Chest.
One more.
Inhale chest,
Belly.
And as you exhale from the belly,
You exhale from the chest,
Feel the weight of your body pour into the earth beneath you.
Eyes are closed.
Arms relaxed.
Continue to breathe.
And as you breathe,
Whatever emotion you may feel like you can attach onto,
Whichever feels like it most describes you right now,
I want you to ask the body,
Where am I feeling this in my body?
Follow the body to this place and spend a few very deep breaths there with the body and with this emotion.
Again an emotion,
A sensation happening through you,
Through your mind,
Body and spirit.
Feeling and disappearing,
Changing and shape shifting on its own and for no one.
Notice that you are the energy that is aware of this emotion.
Are you breathing or are you holding your breath?
And if you are holding your breath,
Let it move.
It doesn't matter how short,
How long,
How deep,
How shallow.
Breathing.
Letting this emotion move through you.
Do not be surprised as you breathe into the space,
You feel this energy in the body.
You might feel it move,
You might feel it intensify.
If a shake has to happen in the body or we need to make fists,
We can always take a deep breath in and engage the body or shake and exhale,
Let it all go.
Take it out or release your grip.
Follow the waves of your breath through the body.
Be aware that in this moment you are okay.
In this moment you are safe.
In this moment you are holding yourself in love,
Care and understanding for any sensation appearing and disappearing in your body.
Every breath a prayer to presence.
Every breath a tide,
Waves washing away any thoughts or need to attach ourselves to our thoughts.
No need to let these emotions mean anything about us.
Simply witnessing them move through the body.
And if you haven't already and it would feel healing,
Place your hands on this part of the body,
Be it your heart or your belly,
Your solar plexus under your ribs.
Whatever is calling place your hands or a hand there and continue to follow your breath in and out.
As we create space for these emotions to move and be in motion,
Notice that what is left is what you organically are.
You are heart.
You are earth.
You are fire,
Water and ether.
You are whole and you are a beautiful spirit having a human experience.
Nothing needs to be changed.
You do not need to be fixed.
You are whole.
Draw in a long full inhale through the nose and hold your breath at the top.
As you hold your breath,
Relax the body,
The eyebrows,
The cheeks and jaw as much as you can.
Pausing holding.
As you exhale,
Release.
Let the breath escape.
Begin to experience your body as a whole from the inside out.
Breathing from head to toe.
Bring the whole body up and emptying the whole body out.
Make your own timing to slowly feel the body here on the earth.
And in no rush,
Begin to blink the eyes open.
