Welcome yourself to this moment.

Close your eyes.

Settle in with an inhale and an exhale.

Since you're feeling insecure,

Your thoughts are likely dominated by your inner critic.

They're probably loudly pointing out everything that could go wrong,

How you're not up to the task at hand,

And how you'll be found out to be not good enough.

But at best,

Your inner critic is only 5% right.

They're right that life is messy,

And things don't always turn out perfectly,

And you might let people down,

And you might feel bad about it.

But wrong that that means you shouldn't even try,

Just because you aren't 100% sure of success.

So before we move on,

Let's acknowledge that inner critic.

Hello there,

Inner critic.

I've heard your concerns,

And I've considered them.

And I'm going to move forward anyway,

Because I want to experience this opportunity.

It's time for you to bow out for a while.

Now repeat after me out loud,

Or in your head.

I am highly capable.

Every time I stretch myself and my abilities,

I learn something useful in the process.

I trust myself.

I am adaptable and don't have to have everything figured out at all times.

I am resilient.

All of my previous experiences have prepared me for this.

I am a powerful force for good.

I am naturally resourceful.

I am worthy of the task at hand in myself.

Let those statements take up residence in your being.

Wear them like a suit of beautiful armory.

Now choose one statement to take with you for the rest of the day.

Every time your inner critic starts yammering away,

Hit their mute button,

And confidently re-invoke that statement.

Let's seal in this session by putting a hand on our heart and taking two rounds of breath to integrate.

Exhale and let courage permeate every cell in your body.

Exhale and let confidence be your natural,

Effortless state of being.

Flutter your eyes open and go crush it.
