Chakra Visualisation With Gong
by Andrew Crust
A guided visualization through each chakra to help identify which areas may need attention, increasing prana or chi available, removing blockages or stagnation in our network of nadis or meridians to ensure prana or chi flow is optimized.
Transcript
This is a guided visualization and relaxation that moves through each of our energy centers or chakras.
By allowing us to explore how each energy center or chakra responds,
It can help us identify which of these may need our attention.
We can then use this information in our future yoga,
Meditation or gong sessions to bring focus where required,
Increasing the amount of prana or chi we have available,
Removing blockages or stagnation in our network of nadis or meridians to ensure that the subtle body is able to move the energy we need freely throughout the body.
Optimizing the flow of energy,
Prana or chi throughout the subtle body is the foundation of good health across the physical and energetic bodies.
So let's begin.
Let's start by making yourself comfortable.
Find a space where you'll not be disturbed and where you can feel relaxed.
You could try lying flat on your back,
Perhaps with some support under the back of the knees if you require,
Just making sure that you can be comfortable for the full duration of this practice without moving or shuffling.
Some people prefer to be seated either in a chair or on the floor,
Cross-legged or maybe not,
Just anywhere you can feel comfortable for an extended period.
Sometimes as we relax we can find that our metabolism slows and this may cause our body temperature to fall.
This can become a distraction to our practice so please make sure that you will be warm enough.
Use a blanket if required.
And now wherever you are,
Let's simply relax the body and begin to breathe,
Always breathing through the nostrils,
Natural rhythm,
Relaxed body,
Feeling the rise and the fall of the diaphragm as we inhale and as we exhale,
Just repeating for a few more breaths,
Inhaling and exhaling,
Diaphragm rising and falling.
After a few more breaths and if you're comfortable,
Maybe start to deepen the breath a little,
Inhaling and exhaling.
Maybe now also start to lengthen and slow the breath,
Again at your own pace,
Inhaling and exhaling,
Feeling the rise and the fall of the diaphragm,
Inhale and exhale,
Inhale and exhale,
With each inhale drawing in pure,
Clean energy,
Prana or chi and with each exhale allowing any tension,
Stress or worry to leave the body with the breath.
Inhale and exhale,
Inhale and exhale.
Now let's breathe in from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head.
Let the breath flow from the feet all the way up to the crown of the head as you inhale and as you exhale,
Feel the breath flow down from the crown of the head all the way to the soles of the feet,
Feeling the breath move through the entire body as you inhale and exhale,
Sensing the energetic response of the body as you inhale and exhale,
Feeling the breath and the energy touching every cell within the body as you inhale and exhale,
Continuing with this breath and this movement for just a couple of moments to your own rhythm in silence.
Now let's breathe in from the soles of the feet.
Now,
Gently bring your awareness and your breath to the base of the body,
The tip of the spine,
The tailbone,
The pelvic floor,
Sometimes referred to as the first chakra or muladhara.
Breathe fully into this area around the base of the spine.
Simply notice any energy or sensations in this area.
Breathe in and out at the base of the spine,
Continuing with this breath for just a couple of moments in your own rhythm and in silence.
Breathe in and out at the base of the spine.
Feel the energy at the base of the spine.
Does it feel open or closed,
Heavy or light?
Is there a feeling or emotion associated with this area?
Is there a color or image that comes to your mind?
Focus at the base of the spine.
Simply be aware of what you are sensing and feeling.
Open the mind to those sensations and those feelings.
Consciously breathe in and out of this area.
And now let your breath and awareness relax for a few moments in silence,
Just observing the sensations that arise.
Allow your awareness to move up,
Up to the area behind the pubic bone and the pelvic area,
Sometimes referred to as the second chakra or svadhisthana.
Breathe into the hips and the reproductive area.
Breathe fully into the area around the pelvis.
Simply notice any energy or feelings in that area of the body.
Breathing in and out of the pelvic area.
Breathing with this breath for a couple of moments,
To your own rhythm and in silence.
Breathing in and out of the pelvic area.
Breathing out and out of the pelvic area.
Feel the energy at the pelvic area.
Does it feel open or closed?
Heavy or light?
Is there a feeling or emotion associated with this area?
Is there a colour or image that comes to your mind?
Focus on the pelvic area.
Simply be aware of what you are sensing and feeling and open the mind to these sensations.
Consciously breathing in and out of this area.
And now let your breath and awareness relax for a few moments in silence,
Just observing the sensations that arise.
Now allow your awareness to move up again,
Up this time to the solar plexus,
The area between the navel and the ribs,
Sometimes referred to as the third chakra or manipura.
Begin to explore this area,
Noticing the feeling and the sensations within that centre.
Notice the response as you take the breath into it,
Feeling all the way from the solar plexus to the back to the spine.
Continuing with this breath for a couple of moments,
To your own rhythm in silence.
Bh implies Ji codes Feel the energy around the solar plexus.
Does it feel open or closed,
Heavy or light?
Is there a feeling or emotion associated with this area?
Is there a colour or image that comes to your mind?
Focus on the solar plexus area.
Simply be aware of what you are sensing and feeling,
Opening the mind to those sensations,
Breathing in and out of this area.
And now let your breath and awareness relax for just a couple of moments in silence,
Just observing the sensations that arise.
Moving our awareness up again,
This time up to the heart centre,
Sometimes called the fourth chakra or anahata,
Notice the place where the energy feels strongest,
In the centre of the chest.
Begin to explore that energy centre,
Taking the breath through it.
Notice how that centre responds to the breath,
Whether it begins to open out or feels closed in,
If it feels clear or if there is a sense of layers covering the heart centre.
Continuing with this breath for a couple of moments,
To your own rhythm and in silence.
Feel the energy around the heart,
Does it feel open or closed,
Heavy or light?
Is there a feeling or emotion associated with this area?
Is there a colour or image that comes to your mind?
Focus on the heart area,
Simply being aware of what you are sensing and feeling,
The mind open to all of these sensations,
Consciously breathing in and out of this area.
And now let your breath and awareness relax for a few moments in silence,
Just observing the sensations that arise.
And now we allow our awareness to move from the heart up to the throat and the neck.
Begin to explore this area,
Noticing the feelings and sensations within that energy centre of the body.
Notice the response as you take the breath into the throat,
Feeling the breath entering and moving in and out of the throat.
Continuing with this breath for a couple of moments,
To your own rhythm and in silence.
.
Feel the energy around the throat,
Does it feel open or closed,
Heavy or light?
Is there a feeling or emotion associated with this area?
Is there a colour or image that comes to mind?
Focus on the throat area,
Simply be aware of what you are sensing and feeling,
With the mind open to all of those sensations.
Consciously breathing in and out of this area,
Before allowing your breath and awareness to relax for just a couple of moments in silence,
Simply observing the sensations that arise.
.
Now allow your awareness to come to a place between the eyebrows.
Feel the energy itself guiding you back between the eyebrows.
Notice if you can sense being drawn inwards or perhaps a sense that the door is opening,
Opening to a place without time or description.
Look inward and feel any sensations or experience any colours that may be associated with this,
The third eye energy centre,
Sometimes referred to as ajna.
Perhaps there is a vision or an image that presents itself here.
Focus on the third eye area,
Simply aware of what you are sensing and feeling,
With the mind open to all those sensations.
Consciously breathing in and out of this area,
Before we gently allow our breath and awareness to relax for a few moments in silence,
Simply observing any sensations that arise.
.
Now bring your awareness to the top of the head,
The crown chakra.
Visualise the area directly above the head.
Sense any opening around the crown of the head,
The images and the colour that may be associated with this energy centre.
Continuing with this breath for a couple of moments,
Into your own rhythm and in silence.
.
.
With our focus on the crown of the head,
Simply become aware of what you are sensing and feeling,
The mind completely open to all the sensations that arise.
Consciously breathe in and out of this area,
Before we gently allow our breath in silence,
Just observing the sensations that arise.
.
.
Please now inhale deeply,
Then exhale slowly,
Slowly and completely.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Inhaling and exhaling.
Completely relax.
Allow your awareness,
Your attention,
Your energy to go to the area of the body that you feel needs the most healing energy and attention.
Let your awareness rest here.
Let this area fill with healing light and energy.
Fill this area with healing light.
.
.
When you are ready,
Start to bring your awareness back to the physical body,
Perhaps wriggling the fingers and toes,
Rotating the wrists and ankles,
Taking a couple of deep breaths,
Keeping the eyes closed for the moment,
Maybe in your own time rolling onto one side and coming to a seated position,
Gently starting to refocus,
Looking down towards the floor,
Slowly blinking open the eyes,
Bringing the attention back to the room in which you are sat,
Gently bringing ourselves back,
Ready to face the rest of the day ahead of us.
.
.

This mediation I find most useful. It offers a great opportunity for self healing. I especially like the gongs during the quiet times while focusing on the chosen chakra. I shall be using this meditation daily for the while. Thank you Andrew for the work that you do for us all.🙏🌻
