So for today's meditation,
We're going to take a little look at our intuition.
So intuition means many,
Many things to many people,
But it's an incredibly important resource that we in fact all have.
So some people really see the intuition as a mystical part of themselves,
As them connecting to something bigger than themselves and other people.
It's merely just all of the things that our subconscious mind is collecting without us being aware of it.
So whether you have a very secular way of looking at intuition or whether you have a more spiritual way of looking at intuition,
It doesn't matter.
But all of us have this innate ability to pick up ultimately more than we think we can.
And this meditation is designed to really tap into that and to give us a chance to exercise that and to see if there are any messages in our intuition that could be serving us right now.
So to begin,
Make sure that you're nice and comfy,
Nice and cozy,
Seated in an upright sitting position.
You might want to be cross-legged.
You might want to do this in a chair.
Any position that feels good to you will be perfect.
Once you've got settled,
Just bringing your awareness to your breath,
Taking a nice deep breath in through your nose,
Taking a nice breath out through your nose,
Just taking a few more waves of breath completely in your own time.
With your next exhalation,
Releasing any tension you can feel anywhere in your body,
Just letting go if you can notice any muscles holding on,
Allowing your breath to become deeper and lower,
Allowing a state of relaxation to develop within you.
So for our intuition practice,
I'm going to invite you to have an intuitive feel into where do you feel your intuition.
So some people they'll say,
I really had a gut feeling about this.
And it will really be an actual genuine feeling that they'll get in their stomach when something's about to happen that's good or bad and they'll go with their gut feeling on things.
So if that's you,
You might want to use your gut or your stomach or your belly or your solar plexus area as your kind of center for focusing as you go through this meditation.
It may be somewhere completely different in your body.
We're all so different.
So it might be there's a different place in your body that you really feel is the home of your intuition.
But if you're not clear yet and you're just wanting to be guided,
Then I'd advise you picking either your gut or your heart.
And for this meditation,
I'll use the term heart.
But actually,
If you're not using your heart and you're using some other place in your body,
That's also completely fine.
So if you're doing the heart variation,
Then just bring your awareness to the center of your chest.
And what I'm referring to here is really your heart chakra.
So rather than your physical heart,
It's your heart space,
The center of your chest.
And just becoming aware as you breathe of this area of the center for your intuition,
Your heart.
Feel your awareness of this area expanding with every breath.
So as you take a breath in,
Really breathe it into this space.
Letting your heart space expand,
This loving awareness filling you.
And as you breathe out,
Allowing your awareness to stay with this space.
Take a moment to notice what emotion or feelings you have within yourself today.
Maybe you can even sense this emotion in your intuitive center.
So maybe you can feel,
Feel something in your heart.
Feel something in your belly or anywhere else in your body.
So we're going to begin on a little creative visualization.
As I said before,
I'm going to use the term heart and really focus on the heart center,
But you can modify this.
So if you find that you're intuitive in a different part of your body or in a different way,
Then modify whatever I'm saying to go along with what works for you.
This is intuition.
So this really isn't about what anybody external to you thinks.
This is about you tuning into really what works for you.
So give yourself this time.
Give yourself this time to explore it in your own way.
So with your next inhalation,
Bring in your full awareness to your heart and feeling as if this space expands.
And with your next exhalation,
Releasing the air and seeing this expanded heart space filling with light.
So with every breath,
You're expanding this area and filling it with light.
And this light is carrying with it a sense of wellbeing,
A sense of trust,
A sense of wisdom.
Keep expanding this area until it feels like it's overflowing throughout your entire body.
Keep expanding this area so it's overflowing even beyond your body and encompassing even the more subtle parts of you,
Encompassing your mind,
Encompassing your spirit or your soul.
So that every part of you is now incorporated within this giant heart and full of this light,
This trusting,
Wise,
Intuitive light.
So I invite you to allow this light to really permeate every part of you and invite it intuitively in whatever way works for you to bring you whatever healing would serve you and be of benefit to you right now.
So healing is just positive intention.
If you've got any physical ailments or anything going on,
Then just intuitively invite this light to come and bring you whatever you need to help to bring more comfort and more ease into your body.
Maybe if you've had a lot of thoughts in your mind recently and some of them have been uncomfortable,
Then allowing this light to fill this area and to intuitively to guide you,
To bring you a sense of relaxation and peace.
Really allowing this intuitive light to connect you to your innermost core of your being,
The innermost core of who you really are and this core part of you that has been with you from the very beginning of your life,
That's the very essence of you,
That's experienced everything that you've experienced,
Has seen everything that you've seen and even if you're conscious mind has forgotten some details that this core part of you knows.
Really connecting your heart,
Filling it with this core part of you.
This core part of you is your heart.
So take a moment to just ask your heart to offer you a symbol,
A symbol that somehow encompasses anything that's important for you to know about your past.
So you're asking your heart to give you some kind of symbol that represents anything that's important for you to know or understand about your past.
So the symbol could really be anything here,
Go with whatever it is.
It might be a completely strange symbol,
It might be a person,
It might be an object.
Really intuition does not have to function with logic at all so just let the symbol be,
Take note of whatever it is,
Even if there's no symbol then that in itself is also a symbol.
Taking yourself a moment to acknowledge whatever is coming up for you.
And then taking another moment to reflect upon what does this symbol represent.
So how does this symbol relate to your past and what you need to know about your own past?
Is there any metaphor?
Is there anything about what's come up for you that you can unpack into some kind of message that you can use your intuition to encode to help you as you go forwards?
So maybe there are many aspects coming up for you in which case it's wonderful.
Think through them all,
Observe them all arising and know that anything important will stay with you after this meditation.
Or it might be that there's one simple truth that comes up for you and that's also fine.
I invite you to trust your intuition so if you're confused about the image and you're not quite sure how to decode it,
Use your intuition.
Think about what that might mean for you,
Think about any way in which that might relate to your life,
To your past,
To what you need to know going forwards and know that that's enough if you can come up with anything,
However hard it is to pin down that that is enough.
You can pause this recording if you need more time with this image but if you're ready you can take a nice deep breath into your heart space.
As you breathe out you can let go of your image and this time invite a new question for your heart.
Ask it to bring you a symbol that relates to anything that you need to know about the present.
So anything that's going on for you right now,
What message can your heart give you that will serve you and serve your highest good from where you are right now?
So again asking for some kind of symbol it could be anything at all.
Seeing what symbol emerges for you,
Giving it a moment to fully arise and acknowledging it.
The symbol could be a feeling,
It could be a visual object,
It could be a word or a sound,
It really can be anything.
Allowing yourself to see this symbol in all its glory and then when you're ready asking your heart for intuitive guidance on what this could mean.
How does this symbol relate to you,
To your life right now in the present and to anything that your unconscious mind,
That your intuition wants to reveal to you to help serve your highest good right now?
Taking some time here to acknowledge any metaphors,
Any ways in which you can possibly relate what this symbol is to where your life is right now and to what your highest good is in this moment.
You may have many insights here in which case just let them all come through you,
Trusting that whatever is important will come to you after this meditation.
Maybe there's one simple truth,
Maybe you need a little bit more time and again you want to pause the recording and give yourself a bit more time to contemplate how this works for you.
But go with your instinct,
Go with your intuition,
It doesn't have to make logical linear sense,
It can be whatever it is,
It can mean whatever it means,
Trust that you know what's best for you and you know how to unpack these unconscious subconscious images.
And when you've spent enough time with this symbol and what it means and how you can help to serve yourself in this present moment,
Your highest good,
Then taking in a deep breath as you breathe out completely letting go of anything,
Letting go of your symbol,
Letting go of any meanings,
Relaxing your body and then one more time posing the new question to your heart.
Inviting it to bring you a symbol that can help to symbolise anything that you might need to know that can serve your highest good as you step into your future.
So a symbol that can sum up anything that you need to know that can help you to intuitively serve your highest good as you step into your future.
So once again allowing the symbol to arise,
Allowing it to be anything that it is,
Seeing it,
Acknowledging it and then when you're ready having a feel into what does this mean for you?
What intuitive message can this bring you?
How can you look at this symbol in a way that could relate to something that will serve your highest good as you step into your future,
As you step into this next stage of your life?
Giving yourself some time here,
Maybe allowing many different messages to come through,
Maybe staying with one message,
Trusting the process,
Trusting your intuition,
Allowing it to not make sense,
Just taking whatever messages feel like they work for you and knowing that you can discard anything that doesn't work for you.
And if you wish to stay with this longer then you can pause the recording to give yourself more time to process whatever the image is that's coming up for you and what this might mean for you.
Otherwise bringing your attention back to your breath,
Letting go of this last question of what's the highest good for your future,
Relaxing any muscles in your body,
Tuning back into your heart space or your intuitive centre wherever that is and however you feel that and taking a moment in whatever way works for you to thank this part of yourself,
To acknowledge and to thank your heart,
Your intuition for supporting you throughout your life,
For picking up all of the information that your conscious mind is missing and telling you exactly what you need to know to live to your fullest potential.
Knowing that the more you honour this part of yourself,
The stronger and the clearer the messages will become.
It's very common when we first start doing intuitive meditation that we struggle with this so don't worry if it feels a little bit hazy,
If it feels a little bit silly,
If it works for you and you feel like it's a beneficial practice,
Know that this part of you can be strengthened the more you work with it,
Like a muscle in the body.
Once you've taken your moment to thank your heart,
Letting go of all the thoughts in your head and coming back fully to inhabit your whole body,
Becoming aware of your whole body and the space that you're in,
Grounding your awareness,
Becoming aware of the soles of your feet or any parts of your body that are touching the floor.
Taking three more deep breaths here,
Becoming more aware of any sounds that are going on around you,
Of the space that's around your body,
Of the room that you're in and when you're ready you can open your eyes.
No need to rush,
Just noticing the shapes and colours in the space around you.
So the meditation is complete,
I thank you so much for joining me in this practice.
If there were any key insights that came to you about your past,
Your present or your future,
Then give yourself the gift of writing it down and you can come back to that later and reflect upon it whenever you like.
You can come and repeat this meditation whenever you like.
I hope that you've enjoyed it.
Namaste.

Thank you! A very unusual symbol came up for me of a bucket and Iβm going to journal on what that means. Iβd have preferred a straight forward instruction to tune into my heart at the start since thatβs what I was expecting from the title. When you started talking about the gut Iβd settled into that area, then you moved it to the heart as an option and it confused my mind on where to put my focus. I will definitely do again with a solid focus on my heart energy. Iβll share this meditation - thanks so much! π

Thank you! I enjoyed the meditation very much and I find it very useful, the objective is great. But it was hard for me to find or visualize a symbol. How do you know what your symbol can be?

Thanks so much for the inspiration & reminder to dig deeper. π I like the concept of intuitive meditation - to become more consciously aware of the subconscious messages trying to break through. Much appreciated. Namaste ππ
