Welcome to this guided meditation session.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable sitting position in a quiet space.
You may sit in any way that's comfortable and allows you to be reasonably at ease for the duration of this session.
When you find your posture,
Take a few moments to simply feel your body and to be present with it.
Today,
We will explore confidence in relation to leadership and purpose.
Regardless of your situation,
Whether in an organization,
A family,
Or in your own life,
You will be called on to lead at some point or another.
The best leaders have a sense of clarity and purpose,
Which gives them confidence to act and engage with the world,
And the capacity to lead others from a place of kindness,
Wisdom,
And care.
I'll now ask you a series of questions,
But instead of thinking about the questions or coming up with responses,
I want you to allow the questions to just sink in like pebbles being dropped into a still pond.
And I want you to be sensitive to any ripples that you notice as a product.
These ripples can manifest as sensations,
Thoughts,
Or maybe emotions.
As a leader,
What would be most important to you?
What would you aim to achieve as a leader?
As I ask these questions,
Just notice the thoughts,
Feelings,
And images that come to mind as you breathe in and as you breathe out.
What are the values that guide you?
What may be preventing you from living your values each day?
Now continue breathing in and breathing out,
Bringing attention to your body,
Noticing if the mind is wandering or if it's attaching to any particular thoughts or feelings that arise.
And as you keep yourself present and aware,
Bring to your mind an image of yourself leading with purpose.
How does that feel?
Visualize yourself full of confidence and purpose,
Leading and inspiring others.
How does it feel to be empowered?
Allow yourself to be immersed in those feelings for a moment and don't let your rational mind take over.
And when you feel ready,
Let's finish this session with a full and deep breath in and a long breath out.
Gently open your eyes.
Let's take a deep breath in and a long breath out.
