My name is Karen Noonan and I feel blessed and honored to be with you in this moment as we embark on a beautiful journey to self.
Thank you for joining me.
Take care not to listen to this while you are driving or operating heavy machinery.
You may practice this meditation during the day after which you will hear instructions to wake up refreshed and renewed or before going to sleep at night.
Set your intention for your meditation as you begin to relax.
Your intention may be different each time you use this meditation and so your experience will be unique every time you practice.
It is at this time that you will also make the intention to wake up feeling refreshed and renewed or that you will drift into a peaceful sleep on completion of your meditation.
Enjoy.
Temple of Love Meditation Allow yourself to surrender what no longer serves you so that you are able to feel lighter and more free to simply be.
Let go of resentments and bitterness that belong in the past and allow yourself to emerge like the butterfly,
Transformed and with a beautiful and positive mindset.
Be open to gratitude,
Beauty and a renewed sense of self with a more positive and healthy self image and mindset.
You will feel a renewed sense of self and will be more aware of your inner radiance and beauty.
Now get comfortable.
Sit or lie down and take a few deep breaths.
Take a deep breath in and as you release it allow your whole body to soften and let go completely.
Relax and release every muscle,
Ligament and tendon.
Let go of all control.
Your loved ones are safe.
You are safe.
It is safe to let go and surrender to this moment.
Be at peace.
Take a moment to send gratitude to God,
To the divine for all that you are,
For all that you have,
For all of the gifts and the blessings that you have in your life right now.
Breathe deeply and fully.
Lie back and relax and let go completely.
Relax your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your legs.
Sigh.
Breathe in love.
Hold it in.
And as you breathe out,
Let go of stress.
Breathe in love.
Breathe out fear.
Breathe in love.
Breathe out doubt.
Pain.
Let go.
Allow yourself to become heavy,
Heavier.
So heavy that you feel yourself melting into the earth.
Breathe in.
Sigh as you breathe out and relax completely.
Imagine now that you are following a beautiful mountain path along the Mediterranean coastline in Greece.
The area you are in is secluded and there is no one around for miles.
It is a warm summer's day and the gentle breeze allows you to feel carefree,
Comfortable,
Content.
As you take the gentle climb,
One step at a time,
One breath at a time,
You start to feel all of your worries and concerns melting away,
Effortlessly.
As you look down,
You take in the exquisite beauty of the calm,
Turquoise Mediterranean Sea.
You are mesmerised by the charm and beauty of this moment in time and you take the time to appreciate your surroundings.
Open your arms and look up towards the clear blue sky.
Feel your heart space opening to the beauty and send gratitude for all that you are and for all that is now.
Smile.
Gratitude.
Continue your journey up towards the top of the mountain.
As I count to ten,
You will gradually,
Consistently and slowly follow the mountain path,
Gradually moving up.
One,
Two,
Three.
Moving slowly forwards,
Upwards,
Focusing on this one step,
On this one moment in time.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven.
Slow,
Steady,
Closer to the top of the mountain,
Feeling lighter and lighter.
Eight,
Nine,
Ten.
You have reached your destination,
The top of the mountain,
Feeling weightless,
Carefree,
Open,
Ready for a journey to self,
Feeling as light as a wispy cloud.
Now imagine or feel that you are standing in front of a beautiful temple.
This temple lies in the side of the mountain overlooking the clear turquoise water of the Mediterranean Sea.
The temple is made of pure white marble.
You observe the beauty of your surroundings.
Absorb the beauty into yourself,
Feel this as a wave of energy,
Warm,
Flowing into your heart center,
Gracing you with a heart smile.
Breathe in the beauty and as you breathe out,
Send love towards all beings.
Now imagine walking through the doors to the temple.
They are open.
Inside you find open space,
A sanctuary.
As you look around,
You notice the colors of the walls and the floors,
As white and pure on the inside as the outside.
Notice the texture of the marble.
Feel this with your hands as your fingers softly glide against the walls and floors.
What sensations do you experience?
Is the marble warm or cool to the touch?
How does the color white feel to you?
You look towards the center of the temple sanctuary.
You notice a single white pillar as tall as your waist.
On the top of this pillar is a candle surrounded by glass.
The flame is burning brightly.
What is the color of the candle?
You gaze intently into the flame and allow your heart and mind to open to the silence and to love,
To your true self,
To your inner radiance and beauty.
The temple represents your body,
Already perfect and beautiful,
Made in the image of God.
The flame represents your inner light,
Your radiance,
The light that lies within your heart.
Continue to gaze into the eternal flame of the candle until you start to see or feel the flame within you,
Within your heart center.
Breathe in and draw the light of the flame into the very core of your being.
Draw in gratitude.
As you breathe out,
Send love.
Breathe out love for the beauty that surrounds you,
For the beauty of now,
Love for all of humanity.
Feel this with each and every breath.
Say to yourself mentally,
My heart is my home.
My home is a reflection of my mind and what I feel I am worthy of.
If my home is untidy or unclean,
I feel overwhelmed.
So today I choose to clear out the clutter from my mind and heart as I would clean and tidy the house in which I reside.
I release and let go of what no longer serves me or my highest good.
I begin with changing one thought at a time.
My heart is my home and I am at home in my own heart.
I take myself with me wherever I go,
So I am sure to be comfortable with who I am.
As I begin to love and accept myself,
I find myself providing a safe and comfortable home for myself.
I begin to feel at home in my own body.
As I love and accept myself exactly as I am,
Right here and right now,
With all of my imperfections,
I find it easier to accept others in the same way.
Every day,
In every way,
I am learning to create peace within.
I know that the love I give is the love I receive.
Today I accept myself totally and completely in love.
I love who I am in this moment,
A perfect and beautiful being of love and light.
I radiate love,
I am pure love and light.
Now take your time,
Make one more visual sweep of this beautiful temple and vow to make your way back to the sacred space mentally whenever you experience self-doubt,
Fear or low self-esteem in the future,
Whenever you find yourself not honoring your body as the temple.
Walk slowly back towards the doors of the temple and walk down to the mountain path.
Turn around and look back at the temple and then once more look at your surroundings,
The sky,
The sea,
Birds calling,
Breeze blowing.
Breathe in the fresh,
Clean mountain air,
The sea breeze.
As I count back from 10 to 1,
You will slowly and effortlessly make your way back down to the foot of the mountain where you began this journey.
When you reach the number one,
You will feel completely refreshed and renewed,
Ready to face any challenges that you meet with a more positive state of mind and a more healthy self-image in the knowledge that you are truly a beautiful and radiant being,
Feeling better,
Healthier and stronger than before.
Ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Moving slowly down,
Feeling a little heavier.
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Heavier,
Slowly becoming more conscious of the weight of your body,
Ready to feel better than ever before,
More vibrant,
More alive.
Three,
Two,
One,
Feeling fully present,
Conscious and aware of your surroundings,
Feeling stronger,
More healthy,
Better than before,
More aware of your inner radiance,
Your beauty and your light with a more positive mindset and healthier self-esteem and with the knowledge that you are indeed a beautiful and radiant being and loved by so many.
You may wish to drift off now into a restful sleep or you may wish to return to the activities of your day.
As we leave this sacred inner space,
We ask,
May our practice bring us to a greater awareness of the divinity that lies within?
May we learn to honor our bodies and may each of us learn to treat this body as the beautiful temple that it is.
May we allow our radiance to shine brightly.
May we recognize our many blessings in gratitude and may each of us in turn be a blessing until we meet again.
Namaste.
