Welcome to the Loving Kindness Meditation.

A Buddhist technique.

And the principle is connection and kindness.

Finding a comfortable seat.

And take a few breaths just for you.

Softening out any tension.

And inviting a sense of presence.

As I guide you through this practice,

It's important that we observe that there is no reward for this meditation.

Coming into it without any expectation of acknowledgement is as important as the practice itself.

I invite you to bring to mind the person in your life who you love deeply.

They may be past or present.

Allow yourself to feel the energy,

The connection and this relationship.

With the best of intentions and no expectations,

Send them these words.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be peace.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be peace.

Allow those words to land.

And allow yourself to feel whatever you feel.

Releasing that connection and now moving your awareness to a person in your life who is somewhat neutral.

They may be a co-worker or a person who serves you at the shops.

Maybe your mechanic or your hairdresser.

Feel the energy of this relationship,

Albeit a neutral one.

And with the same level of intention,

I invite you to send this person these words.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be peace.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be peace.

Allow the words to land.

And then releasing this connection.

And next,

Moving to a person in your life whom you find challenging.

Visualise this person.

Feel the energy of the relationship.

And again with the same level of intention.

Send this person these words.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be peace.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be peace.

Allow those words to land.

No expectation.

No need for acknowledgement.

Just sending.

And now I invite you to visualise,

Feel your relationship with yourself.

Feel the energy of this.

And take a moment or two to truly sit in this.

However you feel about your relationship with yourself,

Send yourself these words.

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I be peace.

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I be peace.

Allowing the words to land.

Releasing the connection.

Coming back to your natural breath.

Slowly awakening the body,

Making some circles with your wrists and ankles.

And perhaps sweeping your arms overhead with the next breath in.

Interlace all ten fingers and take a gentle stretch.

And as you release your hands and arms down,

Blinking open your eyes softly.

Perhaps journal thoughts or feelings that you have.

And continue to enjoy your day with loving kindness.
