Welcome.
In this session we'll explore what it is we need to embrace in order to welcome new beginnings.
If you're someone who's recently been through a breakup,
Lost a job or are simply going through a transition,
This practice will be a friend to your well-being.
New beginnings can be scary.
It is so easy to struggle with the uncertainty of the unknown future.
We can often also feel stuck when we're still yearning for what was,
What we lost or what is over.
The end of every cycle can feel like the death of something.
And sometimes along with this ending come strong emotions and feelings like grief,
Fear and doubt,
Anxiety.
As easy as it is to want to linger in these strong emotions or even suppress them,
We need to allow ourselves the space to acknowledge whatever it is we are feeling.
That way we can allow those feelings to move through.
By this acknowledgement we can release the heaviness of missing what no longer is and as a result create space for new beginnings,
New experiences,
Welcoming the unknown future as a projection of endless possibilities.
Today we will work on feeling those emotions that want to be felt,
Seen and heard,
Creating space for the flow of your unlimited potential to come forward.
So for this meditation find a comfortable position.
Whether sitting or laying down,
Make sure to really listen for what your body needs right now in order to find ease within.
Take a moment to arrive,
Allowing yourself to just be for a few moments,
Nothing to do,
Nothing to focus your attention on.
Set attention free and allow yourself to be with whatever is currently present in your experience of this moment.
Now direct your attention to your physical body,
Sensing any areas of tension,
Any areas of your body that are feeling somewhat sensitive or tender today.
Meet these areas with kindness as a witness.
Notice those areas of your body in direct contact with the surfaces providing support,
Inviting a sense of feeling grounded as if energetic roots were dropping deep into the core of the earth.
Next bring awareness to the natural flow of your breath without trying to regulate or control it.
Sense in those waves of breath ebbing and flowing in and out of your body.
Notice the natural pulses between every inhale and every exhale.
Now begin to notice this change in volume of your body in space with every breath.
Perhaps deepening the breath.
As you do this,
Notice if your breath feels stuck or choppy at any point as it moves in and out of the belly.
Notice begin to find an equal rhythm to every breath.
Every breath in,
Every breath out.
Counting in your mind,
Keeping the ratio perhaps to a count of three,
Inhaling for a count of three,
Exhaling for a count of three.
Or perhaps there's a better count for yourself personally.
Feel free to explore counts of four or five.
Any count that feels organic to your own internal rhythm.
Begin these equal breaths and give them all of your attention for a few moments.
Earlier this afternoon.
Allow your breath to go back to a more natural rhythm.
And now,
Inviting to your awareness any feelings you have been struggling with lately.
Reflecting on the end of the cycle you are going through.
If I were to ask you how you've been feeling lately,
What would you say?
Perhaps complete the sentence.
Lately I've been feeling like.
.
.
Notice what arises to complete that sentence.
Now to create a sense of objective separation.
Perhaps reflect on any stories present behind those feelings.
You could complete the sentence.
The story I'm telling myself is.
.
.
Notice how do you experience your breath when you tell yourself those stories.
How does your breath feel in the presence of those stories?
Let the breath guide you a little bit deeper into your body.
What are you experiencing in your body right now as sensation?
How is that story showing up in your body right now?
Where is that story living in your body?
Stay with the experience.
Stay with the physical sensation.
And see if perhaps you can draw an edge to the sensation.
See if you can feel into its center.
Is there a center to this sensation that feels more intense?
Stay with it.
Breathe into the center of this sensation.
Full deep inhale.
And on the exhale soften the edges around it.
Allow the sensations of the breath to merge with the sensations in your body.
Every inhale breathing into the center of the sensation.
Every exhale softening the edges around it.
Notice how it's changing and shifting.
Stay with it.
Stay here with it for a few minutes.
If your mind has wandered go back into feeling sensations breathing into its center.
Softening the edges on the breath out.
If at this point you feel you still need more time to work on this emotion know that you can pause the recording right now and stay as long as you need in this space.
When you're ready complete the sentence.
The truth is.
The truth is.
Notice what arises to complete this sentence.
Allow the truth in your heart to come forward and notice how that statement shows up in your breath.
What is your truth?
Now from this space of awareness and personal truth perhaps inquire how can I make myself receptive to the new endless possibilities arising from the unknown?
How can I make myself receptive to the new endless possibilities arising from the unknown?
What do I need to do to fully embrace new beginnings?
What do I need to do to fully embrace new beginnings?
What else do I need to let go off to make more space for all the awesomeness coming?
What else do I need to let go off to make more space for all the awesomeness coming?
And treat these questions as little seeds,
Planting them in your mind to allow for the unfolding of answers.
If there are any other feelings or emotions you'd like to work with you could repeat the same process as much and as many times as you need.
Every time creating a little bit more space for new beginnings.
When you're ready take a deep belly breath,
Fill up and sigh it all out from the back of the throat,
Further releasing any emotional leftovers and invite a huge smile into your face.
For a few moments allow that smile to bathe your whole body.
Smile to your legs,
Smile to your arms,
Smile to your head,
Your torso,
Smile to your heart.
Learn how much space a simple smile can create within.
I trust that nothing but great things await you.
May you be happy.
May you be healthy.
May you be peaceful.
Gently open your eyes into this field of endless possibilities.
Namaste and thank you for practicing with me.

This was perfect for me. What I needed to let go of came in easily and clearly though I had no idea what it was to be before I began the meditation. Thank you! 💛
