Tantra Supreme Understanding Intro talk - Part 2

This is part two of an intro talk presenting the course: Tanta- The Supreme Understanding. In the talk, we will get to know the different characters taking part in the great knowledge transfer between a unique teacher: Tilopa, and his beloved disciple: Niropa. The track follows the book by Shree Rajneesh written in 1975, and will invite the audience to dive deep into Tantric's merging with infinity. So the Quan says that there was a Zen master that had a very Close disciple was really Curious And he kept bombing him with questions Like about the meaning of life and why are we here?

And is there a God and what's the purpose and all that,

Just keep on nagging him about those questions.

Please.

Please you have to explain.

Please you have to tell me the truth and and the Zen master was taking a teapot and a cup of tea and And he slowly poured the tea into the cup and offered it to his disciple and he said The wind is blowing You know,

You're so Obsessed with your question.

Are you here?

Do you are you aware that the wind is blowing?

Well So yeah being present very good.

What else?

There was another Quan that I heard just like it and again like the disciple,

You know,

Tell me everything and the answer was Like because the question was something like how do I see the light and how do I find happiness in life?

And the answer given after like years and years of prying was one hungry eat one tired Yeah,

And it's just the simplicity of like are you present enough with who you are and what you need?

Yeah,

And to Actually do what needs to be done in every moment rather than running circles around it.

Yeah Many teachers their path was just being the present moment.

That's it There's nothing else else you should do or understand just be here well Yeah Still I'm missing two very important qualities That you haven't mentioned Any idea?

What's what makes a disciple ready for this type of knowledge?

Who do you think so?

Stephanie And I'm my thoughts are kind of echoed already what people have seen it it's not that I know you're asking what's right But the thing I keep hearing is just when the student when students ready and teacher will care so it's almost like you're asked so it's ready,

But So it's like that question.

It's encompassing something up.

It's just peace But how did the teacher know that?

How could they identify him as the one?

The logic brain and I think it's telling me it's logic birds and if you just he knows,

So what is our responsibility?

What is our responsibility as disciples?

To make sure that we are ready for the opportunity when the opportunity appears To make sure that we are ready the opportunity could be right now You said it wasn't doing Should mold in dreams more morning.

The answer is many cases because they put it on the top of their priority and Whenever there was a conflict between spirituality and life drama They chose an open heart over the drum Again and again and again,

This is more important to me and that's definitely a crucial Criteria We do sociality community That you don't actually know that you want to know something and as I'm right now,

You don't and you're not in the way fantastic fantastic you know,

There is the saying that You need to make sure there is in your barrel there is room for at least one more drop Otherwise it will overflow right So as smart as we are,

You know in the Jewish tradition there is this Passover Story we tell about the exit of the Hebrew Hebrew people from Egypt and all that and it says that Let's assume in the beginning of the story Let's assume we are all smart and we are all bright and we all know the Torah Okay,

So Well,

Let's put that aside Okay,

So we don't have to prove anything to anyone let's move that aside and tell the story again Even though we heard it thousand times So in this room also,

We assume that we are all smart.

We're all bright.

We don't have to prove anything to anyone Put that aside and Be here be humble Make sure there is space in your barrel for at least one more drop okay,

Still I'm missing two qualities a Beginner's mindset Very good.

It's not the path for the weak-hearted Some people mistake spirituality to be some easy Getaway,

You know those hippies.

They don't really Deal with life with real life,

You know They created some kind of a fantasy land that they go to and that's it and in some cases that's true But that's not spirituality Spiritual spirituality is very demanding path And we will find how demanding as we walk on the path of discipline understanding I'm not gonna scare you now because you're not gonna come back We'll find out It's definitely Challenging and you need to be courageous about that you cannot be you know Walls around it walls around the bush You know,

There is the saying that for true Progress to happen you would mean to first look in the mirror You said something about you know Going beyond yourself The first thing to do To allow that to happen is to look in the mirror All right,

And and and really all the way straight to the right and really,

You know see yourself as you are right now and That's not always a pretty picture Sometimes it could be quite horrific But until that day where you are courageous enough to look in the mirror and and really see How are you allowing yourself to live what are your Concepts about life and about yourself.

What are your fears?

What holds you back?

From surrendering How much ego is played playing in you as you and all this needs to be addressed and If you don't if you're not courageous about it,

Then It will never have happened You will just gain another tool another book you can put in the shelf but Who change you will not happen?

So courage and the second thing that I was missing here is Honesty Right because when you look at that Image you see in the mirror and you ask yourself.

Do you really want to grow?

Do you really want to change what you see there?

Do you really want to be free of any inhibition that you might face?

In the mirror You need to be honest Because the easy answer is yeah,

Why not for sure?

Right But do you really mean it?

Do you really mean it when you say yeah,

Yeah,

I want to change I want to be free why not So courage and honesty if you keep lying to yourself forget about it It's not gonna happen You can tell all the beautiful stories you want to tell about yourself to yourself to the world But if it's not honest You will remain on the same plane There's no evolution there So courage and honesty Those are key factors for a successful seeker and Of course,

That's an invitation for self-reflection Especially if you are about to start working on this path of the supreme understanding and You want that not just to be a theoretical philosophical,

You know knowledge But you want to you want it to touch you in a way that will change your life then definitely courage and honesty and Whatever you said feels to be sincere,

You know to to have that thirst to have that thirst so much so that you You are passionate about No passion.

What is passion?

Is that it's that willingness to allow that sensual Energy to awaken in you and and express itself through you that life force not a planet is awakened and singing through you as Curiosity as you know that spark in your eyes that is ignited Do you know what I'm saying?

So your Responsibility your Part in this dance is not a passive part It's very active.

It's very involved You ask questions You don't compromise on any answer.

You keep on digging You throw the bucket into the well again and again and again Otherwise the water will stay in the world Really expose yourself fearless Whatever people may think about you,

I don't care.

This is more important.

I want to know I demand to know Not just to know to experience and directly that attitude will allow this Energy and I'm telling you the supreme understanding is very vibrant The more we work on it you experience it at some it's very real it's very physical but Two things are there for us to make sure Are ready for that energy to be experienced one is your involvement and two is Generating this invitation to To expand this group The more people are here the higher the energy will be Guaranteed.

It's 10 chapters and in each chapter he describes a different aspect going deeper and deeper into the realization of the cells and We are going to unlock the secrets that hides between those sentences of this point and it will be in Incorporating both Philosophy and Guided meditation direct experience homework There will be all aspects So for those two months,

It's not going to be a mental breath and then breath the breath will be also very important using our breath intelligently and Then the mind the relationship we have with our emotions sensations and thoughts and ideas and concepts and then the intellect how are we creating an opinion and How we judge our reality and how to make that?

Judgment less Important and then the relationship that we have with our story,

You know All the things that already happened to us and I use as an identity Today and then our ego What does our ego has to say about all this?

What is the ego's purpose and Then the nature of the self that is revealed after we've let go of all those six levels of existence our identity with Our identification with them so we will go through all those relationships that we have Guided by the wise words of Tinota What else?

And So it sounds like you know,

Turn up the hill good you're in the moment That's So this is I mean you've probably already explained this in certain ways but just out of curiosity How would you describe any changes or shifts occurred in you as a result in this work So me it was definitely a process of Remembering I Didn't feel at any point that I'm learning anything.

What do you mean by drama drama drama is when we used Life circumstances to Justify our victim existence That's drama When we are positioned as a victim Positioned as a victim We blame life to our misery,

You know to our suffering this is done and Taking back responsibility is Definite criteria for growth on the path Where you don't blame any ball anybody anymore You don't blaze circumstances for your misery You realize you generated that and you are responsible to stop it if you want so that's done drama is all those all that type of relationship between you and reality,

Which you base your misery and suffering on and Root yourself in that position of a victim.

It is very comfortable Most most people on this planet choose that But on the spiritual path You will have to take back Responsibility so courage and honesty is there Otherwise,

You'll keep on blaming,

You know When will I be happy when you understand?

When you change right Give an example just for I just did Just it this is it this you know What is the constant drama between a husband and a wife You know automatic Programs that are saying out bring your you know,

Like the victim story is your fault Yeah,

I can't do what I want to do because it is you whatever like there's done Sodroma it comes up and it's in most relationships that I've been just us and it might but it's like siblings and kids it's like when you're in that space of reaction versus responsibility or Responding to you like as it shows up without attaching to it and letting other people be how they are with the thing that you need to change and when you do this then I can be Happy and I can be well and it's your fault that I'm unhappy and then whatever.

That's what the time that I come Criticism the judgment.

You're not a slave To other people's actions and reactions and opinions about you and all that you you take back that power Realizing I created that and I can Heal that right,

Why do we doubt?

Because we question we question and Lack of trust What's what does doubt do?

It takes us from the field and puts up puts us on the fence,

That I'm not sure We I'm not certain.

Let me check the question this You know,

So what I'm in doubt.

I'm on the fence And it's all the senses But what happens when I'm on the fence?

While I'm on the fence what's happening Life is happening Right on both sides of the fence Life is happening While I'm questioning while I'm wondering maybe this is good for me.

Maybe not.

I'm not sure Life is happening so My recommendation is burn the doubt Make a decision jump left or jump,

Right?

Ultimately it doesn't matter But what matters is that you jump this matters All the rivers flow to there and it doesn't really matter if they come from the left side or from the right side They will come to the ocean 100% So as long as you are not Sitting on the stone waiting for a decision to come and you're joining the flow That's good enough What could be the types of doubt that you will meet?

Three types of doubts The first type is doubt about yourself You know,

I'm I'm not sure I'm ready I'm not sure I'm the right type of disciple that he is looking for You know,

This is too too much I'm not I'm too busy with other things,

You know Yeah,

It conflicts with my schedule.

I'm not sure I can commit,

You know I know myself from previous experience.

I have always failed myself,

So what's the point?

So doubt about myself is the first time second doubt is doubt about the path Now this path is not funny I need something more,

Don't sit on the fence Make a decision,

And you're still gonna find the path.

They say there are a thousand way to reach the top of the mountain and Doesn't really matter which path you choose just keep on walking and head upwards you will reach Yeah,

Some people like the scenic route,

You know They like to go like this around the mountain a thousand times some people look at the peak and say this is what I'm adding Yeah,

So doesn't matter eventually we'll get that But you need to be on the bus.

You need to find a way to burn the doubts and join Here there reminds me of Tony Robbins saying well,

I take that island or in the boats.

I Haven't heard that if you're cruising up to an island in a military sense and you're gonna take down the island as your own You want to show your commitment right for in the boat,

Right?

So there's no backdoor and to bust out right good Well,
