Welcome to this meditation on forgiving yourself,
Inspired by Michael Beckwith.
Start by taking a posture of empowerment.
Back is straight,
Feet are flat on the floor,
Hands upturned on your thighs in the position of receptivity.
Take a few long,
Slow breaths.
Relax into your body.
Become aware of where you're holding tension in your body.
Breathe life into those places.
If your mind wanders,
Mentally say thinking and bring your awareness back to your breath.
Now it's time to affirm your commitment to the inner call of your true self.
Repeat silently to yourself,
I declare my readiness and welcome this opportunity to become better self-acquainted for the purpose of my growth and development.
Repeat that again as you silently say it to yourself,
I declare my readiness and welcome this opportunity to become better self-acquainted for the purpose of my growth and development.
Repeat silently to yourself,
I attune to my higher self with grace and ease as I step into the higher vision for my life.
Now is the time for you to be honest,
Yet gentle with yourself and drop any judgement about what you will observe next.
Bring to mind something in your life for which you haven't yet been able to fully forgive yourself.
I'll pause here for a brief moment for you to bring the details into sharp focus and feel the sting,
For this will allow you to shape shift that energy.
So right now,
Bringing to mind something in your life for which you haven't yet been able to fully forgive yourself for.
Sink your attention into your heart space,
Allowing your heart to open wider,
Breathing in and out through your heart.
Now repeat silently to yourself,
I take responsibility for my actions and forgive myself for all that I have knowingly or unknowingly done,
To hurt myself and any other individuals.
And breathe into this statement and I'll repeat it again,
I take full responsibility for my actions,
And forgive myself for all that I have knowingly or unknowingly done,
To hurt myself and any other individuals.
Breathe.
Feel the sting here,
Feel the release.
Just repeat these words to yourself silently,
I release myself from the bondage of unforgiveness.
I am free,
I feel the freedom that has always been mine.
I claim it now.
Guilt,
Shame,
And blame are now neutralized by the unconditional love,
Compassion,
And forgiveness which saturates my awareness,
My heart,
And my entire being.
And one more time,
I release myself from the bondage of unforgiveness.
I am free,
I feel the freedom that has always been mine and I claim it now.
Guilt,
Shame,
And blame are now neutralized by the unconditional love,
Compassion,
And forgiveness which saturates my awareness,
My heart,
And my entire being.
Right here,
Right now,
I am cleansed of the toxin of unforgiveness.
I give thanks for this realization.
Right here,
Right now,
I am cleansed of the toxin of unforgiveness.
I give thanks for this realization.
Now bring your awareness to the learnings you had from the things you previously could not forgive yourself for.
Looking back in hindsight,
What did you learn?
How did you grow from the experience?
Realizing your learnings is important here as it releases karma.
Dig deep.
What else did you learn from this situation?
Come back to the awareness of your breath.
Breathing here for a moment into that heart space.
Feeling that wash of forgiveness fall upon you.
Breathing into that breath,
And when you're ready,
You can slowly open your eyes.
Thank you for meditating with me today.
Namaste.
