This is a practice to explore & grow in meditation together with a partner, friend or relative, guided by Vincent & me. This exploration reveals what takes you away from the present moment (thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations) and shows how to return into presence, openness and to take care of your needs. This is a good practice for couples to do together on a regular basis (connect in love, learn non-reactiveness in conflicts). After the practice, you can reflect on each other's experiences.

This is an eye-casing practice.

You can find a comfortable seat close to each other within a distance that you can see each other's eyes clearly.

And closing your eyes when you're ready to turn inwards to connect to yourself first.

Maybe be aware of your natural breathing,

How you're inhaling,

How you exhale.

Few more breaths.

And opening your eyes to softly gaze into the eyes of the another being.

And see if you can pick one eye.

And just observe.

Feel your breathing.

What do you see?

Being connected to your breathing while you're observing.

What do you feel?

What do you feel looking at another being?

And what do you feel being looked at,

Being seen by another being?

What do you feel?

How does it feel to be totally present?

Those cells in this moment.

You can close your eyes.

Taking deeper breaths if it's necessary.

Resting your eyes.

And you feel ease.

Find the sense of ease,

Lightness.

And open your eyes again and gaze to one eye or both eyes at once.

Staying connected to your breathing.

Connected to yourself while you're open to someone else.

Allowing any emotions to appear in your eyes.

In the other person's eye.

What emotions do you feel?

What can you see?

Can you allow yourself to dive deeper?

Maybe you can also let go of any thoughts.

How is it just to look?

Just being with this experience.

Empty but still so full.

And also taking care of your needs.

If you feel like closing your eyes and resting for a few seconds,

Do so.

It's your responsibility.

And now meet the other person's eyes again.

It might all be reflection of yourself.

It might be your emotions.

It might be the other person's emotions.

This experience,

No need to understand.

How light can your gaze be?

How soft can you look?

You see this softness reflected.

Maybe you can allow a smile on your face.

Maybe you are even laughing out loud.

Whatever it is,

No need to contain.

If you need to cry,

Just let tears come down.

These eyes.

Your own breath.

And then allowing your eyes to close.

Gently sinking into your own experience.

Taking some time to feel the resonation.

Allow your awareness within,

Feeling the breath.

Inhale in the exhale.

Becoming aware of your body.

The cushion or chair pressing against your sitting bones.

Slowly grounding again.

Closing the practice.

Gently opening eyes.

And thanking the other person.
