Your Morning Shade | Rumi Poem
by Wood
This poem by Rumi hints at the soul’s quiet transformation, like a dawn arriving in darkness. Each line guides us to see beyond ordinary questions, offering a subtle shift in how we understand ourselves. Mawlana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi, popularly known as "Rumi", is a 13th-century Sufi poet. Today, he is recognised as one of the greatest poets who ever lived, due in part to how his words seem to speak to the Divine. Photo by Patrick. Translation by Coleman Barks.
