Take a moment to settle.

You may close your eyes and try to notice the tension that you bear.

And as you breathe,

Sense the tension alleviating itself progressively,

Leaving you lighter,

More free.

You can repeat the affirmations out loud or inwardly.

Either way,

Simply let them imprint your mind.

Let them wash over you and take away the negative thoughts and emotions patiently,

One at a time.

Feel them leaving your body and rejoice that freedom that you offered yourself and that you deserve.

Inhale.

Exhale.

I don't need to be perfect.

Nobody needs to.

Every day I try to do my best.

I have the right and I deserve to be happy.

Nothing is forcing me to perpetuate the past.

I am free.

Letting go of what doesn't serve me is my purpose.

I am responsible for my actions,

Not my thoughts.

I am not my thoughts,

Nor my past,

Nor my emotions,

Nor my fears.

I am not what other people think of me,

Not even what I sometimes think of myself.

I have the courage to accept myself as I am.

There is no problem with the person that I am.

I am imperfect,

Just like anything else,

And there is nothing to be ashamed of.

I let kindness guide my actions,

Not fear.

I cannot change the past nor predict the future.

I can only be a better person in this very moment by allowing myself to let go.

I acknowledge that my needs are important too,

And I allow myself to set boundaries according to the values that are meaningful to me.

I cannot constantly seek to please others.

I can only be myself and be kind.

I am not ashamed of my fears.

I am authentic as it benefits myself and others.

My life and my body belong to me.

I choose to operate them according to my own values.

I am not ashamed of who I am.

I choose curiosity over fear.

I choose to say and do only the things that correspond to my values and that don't deny my own needs.

I will make mistakes and I will learn from them.

Let these words imprint your consciousness today,

Since they can be a friendly reminder that everything is alright.

Thank you for listening.

Such a great message! I struggle with anxiety and always criticize, beat myself up, and start to believe I'm a bad person for my thoughts. So comforting to know I am not my thoughts, and it's my actions that are what matter.
