Welcome to this cacao blessing,
Cacao meditation.
I also have my cup of cacao already so I'm going to do this with you.
I recommend that you already have your cup of cacao that you've prepared somewhere just in front of you but for a moment just place it down without holding it.
Just find a comfortable seat no matter where you're sitting.
Just relax the shoulders,
Relax the eyes,
The elbows,
The whole body.
Just take some three grounding breaths just to really make sure that you are fully present here before we even embrace the beauty and the medicine of cacao.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhaling out the mouth.
Deep breath in,
Expansion of the belly.
Long exhale out.
One more deep breath in,
Nice and gentle.
And exhale.
Just staying here for a moment with your eyes closed or gently resting.
Becoming aware of the beautiful inflow and outflow of your breath.
Noticing it's there,
Just being aware and equally as aware of your heartbeat.
Maybe you feel it against your chest,
Maybe you hear it,
Maybe you just know that it's there.
Cacao is the medicine of the heart,
Opening up our heart space,
Our heart center.
Before we can even allow it to do that,
Let's make sure that right now we are present in our heart space.
Breathing into that area,
Recognizing its beauty,
Its magic,
Its power.
Very gently now,
Trying to not do too much movement or opening up your eyes too much.
Gently just enough to take your cup of cacao,
Place it in between both of your hands and just rest it down,
Maybe towards your legs,
But still holding it in your hands.
Just enough so that your hands are relaxed and not getting too tired or engaging too many muscles here.
Next,
Tune into the cacao,
Becoming aware of the temperature on your hands.
Maybe you can already smell your cacao very gently,
But for now just become aware,
Just notice the warmth,
The loving warmth from the cacao heating up your hands.
This energy of warmth can travel from your hands up your arms towards your heart space,
Warming up your heart,
Your chest.
Being aware of the textures of the cup,
Maybe gently want to feel the different edges,
Different textures of the cup that you chose for your cacao today.
Without holding any judgement for a good texture,
A smooth or a rough one doesn't mean anything good or bad.
Just become aware,
Become very present with this cup of cacao.
In this warmth,
We can invite in the element of fire,
Recognising the beauty in nature and what it tries to teach us,
What it tries to show us and remind us.
Fire the warmth,
The soft gentle warmth that comes from heat,
That holds love,
That burns away things that are no longer holding you,
So in this moment as you connect to the warmth of this cacao,
Let's take three breaths,
Allowing this warmth,
This fire to release any tensions,
To release anything you might be holding onto.
Taking a deep breath in,
Becoming aware of what you are about to release.
And a long exhale out.
One more deep breath in through the nose,
And aware of what you are releasing and letting go.
What do you give permission to be gone?
Just going back to your natural breath.
As you become aware of the element of water,
The blood within you,
The water that made up this cup of cacao,
And the water teaching us and showing us how to flow,
Flow with life,
Flow with whatever is put across our path.
Being grateful for the lessons of water,
Of fire,
Being aware now of the element of our home that we all share together.
The stability,
The groundness that it brings,
And the lessons that it shows us that we are all here together,
Sharing a beautiful home.
The groundness,
Feeling it underneath you,
Connecting to the earth that grew this cacao.
And the element of air,
The breath,
Your life force.
The expansion in your body thanks to the breath and the contraction of the body thanks to the breath.
The air,
The wind that blows in your hair when you're outside.
Let's invite in the air into your cacao.
So bringing up the cacao just on the level of your heart,
Bowing the head forward a little bit towards it.
And in your mind's eye,
Just become aware of the intention that you have for your practice,
For this cacao,
For this moment right now.
Become aware of what you are trying to bring more of into your life,
What you are inviting,
What you are welcoming.
And once you're clear on your intention,
Take a deep breath in and then blow gently into your cup of cacao,
Your intention,
Infusing your cacao with your loving intention.
And then bringing the cup of cacao just on the level of your lips,
Smelling the aromas,
Being grateful,
Grateful for everything that had to happen in order for you to be here right now with your cup of cacao.
All the people involved in keeping the history of cacao ceremonies years and years ago.
Gratitude and thanks to the farmers and every single person that was involved in the process of making this cacao,
Grateful to yourself for devoting the time to be here for yourself with your cup of cacao.
Fear of your intention once you're ready,
Let's take the first sip nice and slow together.
Feeling the taste in your mouth of your first sip.
Feeling this medicine go down your throat,
Making its way to your heart.
And in this moment as it travels down,
Take a second to give it permission,
Give it permission to do exactly what it needs to,
Give it permission to show you what you need in this moment,
Whether it be dance or stillness or meditation or journaling or crying or anger or laughter,
Whatever it is,
Giving permission to cacao to help you see it,
Hear it,
Feel it.
Knowing that it might not be what you want in this moment,
But it is what you need right now.
As you give it permission to open your heart,
Now in your own time continue to drink your cacao and feel into what you are needing and give yourself permission,
Permission to be fully that and nothing else and nothing more and nothing less.
Just drink our cups of cacao and invite in any other practices or moments that you feel you are needing right now,
That you are wanting right now.
Woah!
Staying present in your heart space.
Feel free to either stay till the end with just this gentle music playing in the background here with me.
Feel free to stop this meditation together to continue your practice in whatever ways,
Whatever shows up to you that you're needing to invite right now.
Thank you for being here with me through this recording.
Thank you for giving yourself permission and for trusting me to guide you on this journey.
I hope that it's not the last time we'll be practicing together.
And as always,
I'm always there just a simple message away.
Have a beautiful rest of your ceremony.
Wishing you lots of love.
Thank you.
