Engage in this profound somatic meditation on trust, ideally during the week preceding the new moon or whenever you seek a profound sense of trust in your healing journey. Our brains crave understanding, and when uncertainty arises, anxiety often follows suit. However, consider the notion that higher intelligence is guiding and supporting us, even when things unfold differently than anticipated or at a pace we had envisioned. Trust in the wisdom of the greater intelligence that propels your healing process and journey.

Hello and welcome to this week's meditation.

Today we'll be meditating on the idea of trust.

When we are moving along our growth and healing journeys,

I can sometimes feel like things aren't working or things aren't working out in the exact timing and way that we had hoped.

And I just want to say that that is okay and it's perfectly natural to feel frustrated or impatient as your healing and your transformation unfold.

And today we'll be taking some time to cultivate a deeper sense of trust in your process and in your journey.

And so as you feel ready,

I'll invite you to make your way to whatever comfortable position you would like to meditate in today.

Perhaps that's seated with some support behind you.

Maybe that's lying down on your back.

Whatever position you've chosen today,

Beginning to make your way there and allowing yourself to settle,

Allowing yourself to land.

Maybe starting to let go of anything you were doing before you started this practice and maybe letting go of anything else that you might have left to do for the day or the evening.

Perhaps you could take a moment to really give yourself permission.

Permission to put aside all of your to-dos,

All the things you feel like you need to organize and plan for and figure out and solve.

Saying if you can give yourself permission to be fully here in this moment,

Taking the next 10 or 12 minutes for yourself.

As you feel ready,

I'll invite you to start to bring your awareness to the parts of the body that are making contact with the surface underneath you.

And the invitation here is to maybe allow yourself to soften and to relax into these points of contact,

Even if it's just a little bit here to start.

And then as you feel ready,

Starting to bring your awareness to the breath,

Watching the breath flow in and flow out.

And perhaps you might notice that as soon as you started to bring your awareness to the breath,

That it has already started to maybe slow down.

And maybe to support that process,

You can start to extend the inhales and extend the exhales,

Allowing the thoughts and the mind and maybe even your heart and your life to slow down for just a few moments here.

And it's in the slowing down that I invite you to continue to watch the breath flow in and flow out.

Noticing the belly rise and expand as you breathe in,

Noticing it collapse as you breathe out.

And as you continue to watch the breath,

I'll invite in an exploration of trust.

As you continue to watch the breath flow in and flow out,

Perhaps you might notice how you're never wondering if and when the next breath will come.

Perhaps you might notice that there's nothing you're really doing to try to make the breath happen.

Perhaps you might notice you're never second guessing,

Never wondering if the next breath is going to be there.

You breathe in and you breathe out,

Trusting and knowing that the next breath will come.

Continuing to watch the breath flow in and flow out.

Continuing to reflect upon and observe this unseen yet greater intelligence that allows the breath to happen without any forcing or pushing or striving.

Noticing any sensations that might arise as you continue to breathe and reflect on this.

And you can continue to watch the breath flow in and flow out.

And maybe as you do,

I can start to invite in another layer of trust that we can reflect upon.

Perhaps you could go back to the beginning of your day,

Going back to the moment that you woke.

And maybe you can visualize yourself getting out of bed here.

And as you get out of bed,

Perhaps you placed one foot on the earth,

And then the other foot on the earth.

And maybe you stood up on both feet and took your first steps of the day.

And as you did that,

And as you do that every single day,

I might guess,

Perhaps you might notice you're never wondering if the earth is going to be there.

You're never second guessing placing your feet on the floor.

You wake each day and you place your feet on the floor trusting and knowing that the earth will be there.

You walk through your day trusting that the earth will be there,

Supporting you,

Holding you,

Noticing any sensations that arise as you reflect upon this.

And maybe as you reflect upon that,

You can start to bring your awareness back to that physical support underneath you right now.

And maybe you can relax a little more here.

Maybe you can soften a little more here,

Trusting in this support that is underneath you.

And so maybe just as you trust that your next breath will come,

And maybe just as you trust that as you wake each day,

The earth will be there to place your feet upon.

Perhaps after you in this practice,

You can also begin to trust in yourself and in your journey and in your timing and in your process.

Trusting in this unseen and greater intelligence that is always supporting us,

Always guiding us,

Always helping us get to exactly where we need to be.

Taking a few more moments here just to soak all of that in.

And if it's helpful for you,

Maybe you could place a hand on the heart.

Maybe you could place a hand on the earth and repeat the words,

I trust you.

Noticing any sensations that arise as you maybe repeat these words to yourself.

I trust you.

Taking a breath in,

A breath out,

Slowly starting to invite movement back into the body.

Wiggling the toes and the fingertips,

Starting to flutter the eyes open.

And maybe as you do,

You could take a look around your space and notice what you see.

Notice anything you might hear in the background.

If you have time,

I encourage you to spend a few moments journaling about anything that came up for you in this exploration today and to maybe keep these reflections and sensations and realizations close to your heart as you move through your day.

As always,

Such an honor to guide you and support you on your journey.

I look forward to connecting with you next time.
