As you set intentions with the new moon and work towards them, the Universe will begin to send you subtle messages. These whispers, if heard, become your compass for recalibration. Nature itself follows a similar pattern; Plants communicate through mycelium networks. Neurotransmitters in your body receive information, guiding our hormones and nervous system to act harmoniously. Use this practice to deepen your connection with the greater intelligence that surrounds and flows within you, especially the week leading up to the next full moon. **Possible physical side effects may include temporary numbing of the mouth and other body parts, tingling sensations, clenched hands, dizziness, nausea, acute pain, and emotional experiences. This practice is not recommended for pregnant individuals or those with potential pregnancy, cardiovascular disease history, seizures, uncontrolled high blood pressure, glaucoma, osteoporosis, severe mental illness, or recent physical injuries or surgery.**

Hello and welcome to this week's meditation.

This week we'll be meditating on this idea of receiving and recalibrating.

If we are working in alignment with the moon cycles,

Setting intentions with the new moon and working towards those intentions,

As we reach the full moon we can start to receive information from the universe,

From Source,

God,

Whatever resonates with you.

And as we receive that information we can use it to allow ourselves to recalibrate as we continue to work our way towards whatever it is that we are intending to create or heal or transform in our lives.

And so that's the practice that we'll be exploring today.

This is a specific breath work practice and technique that we'll be using today to help us do this.

This is an open mouth breathing technique that I have shared on quite a few of my meditations here on Insight Primer.

For those of you who are not familiar with this technique,

Please be aware that it can cause some strong emotions and some physical sensations and perhaps thoughts and memories to arise.

And so the invitation here before we begin our practice today is to really listen to your body.

At any point if you feel overwhelmed or you feel like what you're experiencing is too much,

I invite you to release the act of breathing and return to breathing in and out of your nose.

Whatever you are experiencing will start to subside within a few minutes after releasing the breathing technique.

If you are ready to begin today's practice,

I'll invite you to make your way to lying down on your back.

And as you make your way there,

I'll invite you to take a few moments to grab whatever it is that you feel you need to be supported and held and present in your practice today.

Whether that's an extra pillow or a blanket or an eye mask,

Taking a moment to grab all of those things for yourself now.

And then eventually making your way into stillness.

And just taking a moment here to allow yourself to land,

Allowing yourself to settle.

Maybe letting go of anything you were doing before you started this practice.

Anything else you might have left to do for your day.

And seeing if you can allow yourself to really sink into this present moment.

And maybe as you do that,

You can start to bring your awareness to that physical support underneath you.

Seeing if you can allow yourself to soften into that physical support,

Even if it's just a little bit here to start.

And as you begin to maybe soften into this physical support underneath you,

Perhaps you can allow that to be a connection to Mother Earth,

The Great Mother that is always nurturing us,

Holding us,

Loving us,

Providing for us.

Perhaps you can sense Mother Earth rising to meet you with each breath in and each breath out.

And as you continue to settle into the support of Mother Earth,

Perhaps you can take it a layer deeper and start to sense into the mycelium network.

This vast and expansive network that allows all of the trees and the plants to communicate with each other.

As you start to reflect on this web of communication that lives underneath the Earth's surface.

Seeing if you can start to open up your heart and open up your mind.

Maybe even opening up your spirit to be in connection with this vast network of communication.

Maybe seeing this vast network of communication as the same network of communication that flows through your body,

This web of communication that connects your neuroceptors and your brain,

Your nervous system.

Maybe sensing that there's really not that big of a difference between the web of communication that lives underneath the Earth and the web of communication that lives within you.

And so as we settle into this web of communication,

As you open yourself up to this web of communication,

Perhaps maybe setting intention for your breathing today.

Was there something specific that you would like to receive so that you can recalibrate accordingly?

Planting the seed of your intention in your heart.

And once it's been planted there,

We'll use the open mouth breathing technique to water this seed,

To nourish this seed.

And so as you feel ready,

I'll invite you to begin the open mouth breathing technique.

Sending that first breath into your belly,

That second breath into your heart,

And on the exhale just letting it go in and out through the mouth,

Belly,

Chest,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale.

As you inhale,

Allowing yourself to receive,

Allowing yourself to receive the breath,

Allowing yourself to receive the love and the support that is here for you today and really always.

Allowing yourself to receive the guidance and wisdom,

The guidance and wisdom that is here to support you,

That is here to guide you and direct you.

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale.

Staying with yourself,

Staying with the breath,

Slowly allowing yourself to drop out of any thinking,

Any analyzing,

Any need to control or get things just right.

And maybe instead,

Allowing yourself to drop deeper into the body,

Deeper into the present moment,

Deeper into the wisdom that resides within you.

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Opening,

Receiving.

And as you exhale,

Recalibrating,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale.

Staying with yourself,

Staying with the breath,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale.

Seeing if you can stay with the active breath for about another minute here as we slowly begin to make our way towards the peak of our practice today.

And at the peak of that practice,

You will have the opportunity to release,

To express,

To maybe let go.

And the invitation once we get to that point is to allow that expression,

Allow that release to be the recalibration from the wisdom that you have received.

So seeing if you can allow yourself to receive a little more,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale,

Belly,

Chest,

Exhale.

And on the count of three,

We'll take a audible sigh or a hum or a tone,

Some sort of auditory expression or release.

And again,

What I'll invite in is as you release and as you express to allow the vibrations of the sound that you are emanating to reorganize and recalibrate the cells in the body.

And so here we go on the count of one,

Two,

And three.

Letting out that audible sigh or the hum or the tone.

And as you continue to express and release,

Can you allow the sound waves?

Can you allow the vibrations to begin to move through the cells,

Begin to move through your vessel?

And as those vibrations move through your cells and through your vessels,

Allowing those vibrations to reorganize and recalibrate.

And once you feel complete with the auditory expression and release,

I invite you to return to breathing in and out of your nose,

Allowing the body and the nervous system to settle,

Receiving the benefits of your practice from today and allowing the natural recalibration and reorganization that comes from showing up for yourself in this way.

As you breathe in and out through the nose,

Watching the belly rise as you inhale,

Watching the belly fall as you exhale,

Allowing this time for rest,

For integration.

Perhaps you're maybe still receiving some wisdom and some insights,

Or perhaps you're still expressing and releasing and allowing those sound vibrations to recalibrate you.

If you find you need to stretch or move or wiggle,

That's very welcome here too.

Allowing your body to recalibrate in a way that feels organic and right for you.

And then slowly starting to bring your awareness back to that physical support underneath you,

Seeing if you can allow yourself to relax and soften into that physical support,

Coming back to this support of Mother Earth.

And then as you feel ready,

Slowly wiggling the toes,

The fingertips,

Maybe taking a full body stretch if that feels good to support your integration from today's practice.

I invite you to spend a few moments journaling about any of the insights that might have come through for you to maybe get outside,

Get your bare feet on the earth,

Get some fresh air,

Some sunlight on your skin,

To eat nourishing foods,

Especially if you find yourself hungry after this practice,

And to be oh so gentle and patient and compassionate with yourself on your journey.

Thank you for taking the time to breathe and meditate with me today.

I look forward to connecting with you soon.
