Hello and welcome to this Chittagakasana Dharana meditation.

You are so welcome.

So this is a form of meditation that focuses on the inner space in the mind located behind the third eye chakra.

And that third eye chakra,

The ajna,

Is located between the brows.

And if it helps you to have a colour,

When you refer to this chakra,

It is indigo.

So this meditation is really perfect for the new moon.

It allows you to watch the mind unfold while staying in the seat of the observer.

If you haven't already,

I invite you to come to a comfortable seat or perhaps you're lying down in shavasana.

Get whatever props you need to make yourself feel supported,

Especially the spine,

So you're not distracted by the body.

When you're comfortable,

Take a few moments here to connect to and deepen your breath.

And as you breathe,

Allow your body to soften,

The shoulders to drop,

The jaw to relax.

Allow your eyelids to feel heavy and closed down.

Bring your awareness now to that third eye,

To the space between the brows.

And in the darkness,

Turn your drishti,

Your focus,

To the space in front of your closed eyes,

The inner space.

Without trying,

Without straining,

Just watch.

Become an observer of whatever may appear.

Any pictures,

Images,

Visions,

Memories.

Notice the colour,

The darkness,

The light,

Whatever is arising in your awareness.

Just observe without judgement,

Attachment or reaction.

Try to release any expectation.

Sometimes the less you expect,

The more subtle things you will see.

After a few minutes of our observation,

You might be seeing changing patterns or colours or images,

Or you might be seeing a blankness.

So you might feel that the mind has become a blank screen,

Similar to the blank screen of a TV when it's not switched on.

No vision,

No thoughts,

Only a vast empty inner space without any boundary or limitation.

Relax into this state of emptiness.

It might only last a few moments or seconds.

For me,

You may not experience it at all.

Notice if your senses are starting to dissipate,

The mind has become tranquil due to the lessening of the thoughts racing around.

Whatever you are experiencing is what you are meant to be experiencing.

Releasing any expectation or judgement on yourself.

Continuing to be relaxed and breathing easy and focusing on that inner space.

Maybe it's still blank like a TV or maybe you're seeing changing shapes and shadows.

Stay with what is there.

Let whatever is there start to fade and bring your awareness back to your breath and back to your physical body as we slowly integrate back into waking state.

Bring some gentle movement into the extremities.

Turn the head from side to side.

Take any stretches or yawn if you feel like yawning or sigh.

And when you're ready,

Blink open the eyes.

We have reached the end of our meditation.

Thank you so much for joining me.

Namaste.
