This is Ramon from Wild Sage Wellbeing with a short meditation on the chakras.
Chakras are one of my favorite ways to understand the body.
The word chakra means wheel in Sanskrit and the chakras from yoga are thought to be seven energetic centers that run the length of our spines from the base right to the top of our heads.
Chakras are believed to have a specific energetic connection and even a specific life lesson for us to learn to embody.
Today we'll explore these seven chakras through the process of visualization and we'll calm ourselves through the use of breath.
Settle yourself in a comfortable position ideally sitting up tall.
Take a full breath in and a deep breath out.
Your next inhale take your awareness within.
As you exhale send your awareness right down to the base of your spine connecting to your tailbone.
As you inhale take your breath from the tailbone all the way up to the top of your spine.
Then like a loop close the circuit by breathing energy down the front of your body back to the tailbone.
Take another breath in up your spine and down your front body.
Take a full breath in up your spine down your front body.
Draw your awareness all the way up the spine tailbone to the top and then all the way down the front body reconnecting at your base.
Keep all of your awareness at the base of your spine now.
And at this point when you feel connected to the earth if you're seated imagine a beautiful glowing red light.
Let the warmth of that red light flood down your legs out through the soles of your feet and connect you to the earth like the roots of a tree.
The energy of our root chakra is all about feeling grounded connected secure and safe.
As you send your roots deeper into the earth creating a sense of grounding for yourself.
Allow yourself to feel like you can draw nourishing energy up to feed you whatever it is that you need.
Just like a tall building you require a strong foundation in order to grow.
Allow your roots to spread both wide and deep so that you feel safe and secure in your position.
Take a full breath in draw your spine tall again.
As you exhale shift your awareness a little higher along the spine now.
Imagining a beautiful orange light glowing just below the navel in line with your sacrum the large fused bone the back of your pelvic girdle.
This orange light let it move and flow just like a tide comes and goes like running water free to move around obstacles and change shape and state.
The energy of our sacral chakra is all about freedom creativity and the ease with which we move through life.
Allow yourself to feel gentle sway in your body letting any tension unlock from the low back the shoulders and the jaw knowing that you have the ability to express yourself freely giving yourself permission to bring your creative projects to life and feel free in your creative expression.
Reset your body by taking a full breath in draw your spine tall.
As you exhale relax your shoulders your jaw and your legs.
Travel your awareness a little higher along the spine now to just below the base of the rib cage.
In this area lies our solar plexus chakra connected to the energy of fire.
It's all about our ability to express our will without being overbearing or egotistical towards others.
Chakra resonates with the color yellow allowing a beautiful bright sun to glow in the center of your body letting your will be expressed in healthy ways so you can take powerful actions towards the choices that will affirm your life whilst at the same time being compassionate and understanding of the needs of others.
As you inhale draw your body tall as you exhale let your shoulders soften drawing your awareness now to the center of your chest letting a glowing green color build and expand through your heart and your lungs.
The heart chakra lives at the middle of the chakra system connecting above and below the lessons of the self with our expression into the outside world.
It's life lesson is compassion or loving kindness towards ourselves,
Towards others,
Our ability to be empathetic allowing a sense of unconditional love to settle in the center of your heart and let it expand outwardly letting there be no inhibition to the compassion that you share with others and also that you direct towards yourself.
Take a full breath in,
A cleansing breath out,
Shift your awareness towards your throat.
The throat chakra resonates with the color blue imagining your whole throat glowing with the beautiful blue light let any tension drop from your neck muscles or your jaw and allowing yourself to step into the lessons of the throat chakra which include the power to express yourself freely without censorship and also to communicate in a compassionate manner.
The neck is the conduit between your heart and your mind.
Allow this beautiful blue light to create an uninhibited pathway between the compassion in your heart and the logic of your mind.
Take a full breath in,
Drawing your throat long and tall as you exhale letting any final tension relax from your jaw.
Shift your awareness now to the center of your brow imagining a purple light glowing at what's known as your third eye center.
Let this purple light glow all through your mind illuminating your power to make decisions with ease and also to tap into your inner wisdom trusting that you have all of the information you require within you and learning to tap into the messages of your body that communicate these wisdoms to you honoring your gut instincts,
Your sixth sense and any of the other ways your intuition might be trying to communicate with you.
Stepping into a deep sense of trust take a full breath in,
Soft breath out and finally take your awareness to the very top of your head,
The crown chakra.
Glowing with a beautiful white light,
Imagine now that you can open the top of your head like a little trap door or a sun roof and allow the guidance that's available to you from external sources to flow in.
Be like a beautiful waterfall of information,
Of connection to something greater than yourself.
Take a full breath in and a deep breath out,
Reconnecting your breath to the cyclic pattern beginning at your tailbone,
Breathe in all the way up your spine to the top of your head this time and then all the way down the front of your body and again inhale the length of your spine to your crown and all the way down.
Honoring the lessons that each chakra has to teach you,
The freedom available in each of their lessons and knowing that at any time you can come back to connecting with any of the seven chakras through breath,
Through awareness to help bring them back into balance.
To close your practice,
You may like to seal your hands into prayer,
Bring your thumbs into connection with your intuitive center,
Not your third eye.
Taking this sense of wisdom,
Drawing your thumbs to the center of your chest and bowing your forehead to your hands,
Honoring the connection of heart and mind,
Being led always with wisdom and compassion.
Namaste.
Thanks for listening.

Perfect. Soft voice, good recording quality. Loved de deep soft sound in the back during the session and at the end. These extra minutes allowed me to complete the meditation following my own rythme. Thank you
