Welcome to this session.
This meditation is for moments when regret,
Comparison,
Or the sense of too late feels heavy.
For the next few minutes you don't need to revisit the past or even predict the future.
You're invited to rest where time loosens its grip.
So begin by settling in to stillness.
Let the body be supported.
Let the breath move naturally.
Notice how often the mind moves backward or forward,
Replaying moments,
Imagining different outcomes,
Measuring where you think you should be by now.
You don't need to stop this habit.
Just notice it.
Silently say to yourself,
I didn't miss my chance.
Let the words be a question,
Not a conclusion.
And notice how life only ever unfolds in moments like this one.
Not in imagined timelines.
Not in alternative versions of yourself.
The idea of a missed chance assumes there was a fixed path,
A single correct sequence,
A version of you that was supposed to arrive somewhere else.
But life doesn't move in straight lines.
It moves in responses,
In adaptations,
In unfolding conditions you couldn't fully see at the time.
So bring attention back to the breath.
Feel it arrive and then feel it leave.
This breath wasn't missed and this moment was not delayed.
And if grief arises for what didn't happen,
Well,
Let it be felt.
Grief doesn't mean you failed.
It means you cared.
So notice now how the body remains here regardless of the story about time.
You're still breathing,
Still sensing.
Rest in the simple fact that something is happening now.
So silently say again,
I didn't miss my chance.
Life is not a series of gates that close forever.
It's a movement that keeps reconfiguring.
Let yourself rest for a few breaths without measuring where you are.
No comparison,
No catching up.
And as the meditation comes to a close,
Gently widen your awareness.
Feel the body,
The room,
And the present moment.
And as you move forward,
See if you can loosen the grip of the timeline.
You're not late.
You're here.
Good work today and Namaste.
