Welcome,
Find a comfortable,
Quiet space where you won't be disturbed.
You may sit or lie down,
Whichever feels best for you.
So gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely,
And hold it just for a moment.
Then exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing any tension you may be holding.
Feel the air as it enters your body,
Cool and refreshing,
And as you exhale,
Notice how your body begins to relax.
Now take another deep breath in,
Feeling your belly rise,
And exhale slowly,
Allowing your shoulders to just drop.
With each breath,
You sink deeper into relaxation.
So bring your awareness now to your feet,
Feel them soften and relax,
And let this sensation of ease move up to your ankles,
Your calves,
Releasing any tightness there.
Your knees loosen,
Your thighs soften,
Allowing your hips to relax,
Letting go of any remaining tension.
So feel your belly gently rise and fall with each breath.
Let your lower back relax,
The muscles releasing any stiffness there.
Your chest feels open and light,
Your shoulders melt away from your ears,
Easing any burden they may carry.
So allow this relaxation to flow down your arms,
Through your elbows,
Into your forearms,
And down to your wrists and hands.
Feel your fingers gently uncurl,
Resting softly,
And bring your attention to your neck.
Let it lengthen and relax,
Releasing any tension there.
On your jaw,
Allowing a small space between your teeth,
Let your cheeks relax.
Your eyes rest gently closed,
Smooth out your forehead,
Feeling any lines of worry just fade away.
Your entire body is now relaxed,
Heavy,
Yet very comfortable.
So imagine above you a warm golden light.
This light is soothing and protective.
As it begins to descend,
Feel it touch the top of your head,
Enveloping you in a gentle glow.
This light washes over you,
Moving down your body,
Bringing peace and serenity.
As the light reaches your toes,
You are fully bathed in this comforting energy.
You feel safe,
Secure,
And deeply relaxed.
In your mind's eye,
You find yourself standing at the entrance of an ancient labyrinth.
The labyrinth is crafted from tall,
Lush hedges.
Their leaves are vibrant green,
Shimmering softly in the sunlight.
The path is inviting,
Winding its way to the heart of this mystical place.
The sky above is a brilliant blue,
Dotted with fluffy white clouds that drift lazily by.
The sun casts a warm golden glow over everything,
Filling you with a sense of tranquility and anticipation.
The gentle breeze carries the subtle scent of wildflowers and fresh earth.
You take a moment to breathe in the crisp air,
Feeling it fill your lungs,
Invigorating,
Yet very calming.
As you exhale,
You feel any remaining tension just melt away.
You step forward onto the path.
The ground beneath your feet is soft,
A mix of moss and grass that cushions each step.
You notice the subtle sounds around you,
The rustling of leaves,
The distant chirping of birds,
And the soft murmur of a stream somewhere within the labyrinth.
With each step you take,
You feel more at ease,
More connected to this place.
The labyrinth seems alive,
Welcoming you,
Guiding you deeper into a state of inner peace.
As you walk,
You notice the intricate patterns of the hedges.
Tiny flowers peek out from the foliage,
Delicate blossoms of blues,
Purples,
And whites.
You reach out and gently touch a leaf,
Feeling its texture,
Cool and smooth.
You come to your first turn in the labyrinth.
Standing at a crossroads,
You sense a subtle energy pulling you in one direction.
Trusting your intuition,
You choose the path that feels just right for you.
As you continue,
You begin to sense a presence,
A soft echo that seems to emanate from the very walls of the labyrinth.
It's not a sound,
But a feeling,
A whisper of memory carried on the wind.
You pause for a moment,
Closing your eyes.
You allow this echo to wash over you.
Images begin to form in your mind,
Glimpses of a life lived long ago.
You realize it's a memory from an ancestor that you've never met,
Yet whose spirit resonates within you.
Perhaps it's a grandmother,
Tending to her garden,
Her hands nurturing the soil,
Her heart filled with love for the earth.
You feel her patience,
Her nurturing spirit,
And it fills you with warmth.
Or maybe it's a great grandfather,
Working diligently at his craft,
His focus unwavering.
You sense his dedication,
His pride in creating something meaningful.
This steadfast becomes a part of you.
Thanking this ancestor silently,
You continue along your path.
The labyrinth guides you even deeper,
And you feel a growing connection to the lineage that flows through you.
The path leads you to a gentle curve,
And as you round the corner,
You find yourself in a small clearing.
Sunlight filters through the canopy above,
Casting dappled patterns on the ground.
In the center stands a stone bench,
Inviting you to rest.
You sit down,
Feeling the coolness of the stone beneath you.
Closing your eyes,
You listen to the sounds of the labyrinth.
The rustle of leaves,
The distant call of a bird,
And the whisper of the wind.
Another echo reaches you,
This time accompanied by a soft melody.
It's a song,
Ancient and soulful.
Perhaps it's a lullaby,
Sung by a mother to her child.
Or a hymn sung during a time of celebration.
The melody wraps around you like a gentle embrace.
You feel the love and hope embedded in the song,
Passed down through generations.
This music awakens something within you,
A sense of joy,
Or even belonging.
Allowing the last notes of the melody to fade gently,
You stand up,
Feeling rejuvenated.
You continue on your journey,
The path now leading you deeper into the heart of the labyrinth.
As you walk,
You notice the air becoming even fresher,
Infused with the scent of pine and fresh rain.
The ground beneath your feet changes from soft grass to a gentle carpet of pine needles,
Cushioning each step.
You come upon a fork in the path.
To the left,
The way is bathed in sunlight,
Warming and inviting.
And to the right,
The path is shaded,
Mysterious yet intriguing.
You pause,
Listening to your inner guidance.
Choosing the shared path,
You feel a coolness envelop you.
The canopy above is dense,
And beams of light pierce through in golden shafts.
The atmosphere is serene,
Almost sacred.
And here,
Another echo greets you.
This one is a feeling of resilience,
Of strength in the face of adversity.
You sense an ancestor who faced great challenges,
Yet stood firm,
Their spirit unbroken.
Perhaps they overcame hardships,
Forged a new path,
Or stood up for what was right.
You feel their courage,
And their determination.
This strength fills you,
Reminding you of the resilience that resides within you.
Carrying this newfound strength,
You continue along the path.
The labyrinth seems to shift subtly,
The walls changing as you move forward.
The hedges are now adorned with vibrant flowers,
Roses,
Lilies,
And blossoms you've never seen before.
The fragrance is intoxicating,
Soothing your senses.
You reach out to touch a petal,
Its softness like velvet against your skin.
And ahead,
You see an archway formed by intertwined branches,
Adorned with delicate vines.
As you pass through,
You feel a subtle shift,
A sense of entering a new space,
A deeper level of awareness.
The path opens into another clearing,
Where a tranquil pond lies before you.
The water is still,
Like a mirror reflecting the sky above.
You walk to the edges,
And gaze into its depths.
As you look into the water,
You see your own reflection,
But as you continue to watch,
The reflection changes.
Faces begin to appear,
Those of ancestors from long ago.
Their eyes meet yours,
Filled with wisdom and,
Of course,
Compassion.
One by one,
They offer you a gift,
Not a physical object,
But a quality,
An insight,
A piece of wisdom they've gathered in their lives.
Perhaps,
One offers you patience,
Another offers you creativity,
Yet another offers you peace.
You accept these gifts graciously,
Feeling them integrate into your being.
So taking a deep breath,
You feel a profound sense of gratitude for these connections.
You understand that you are the culmination of many lives,
Many experiences,
All flowing into this present moment.
Leaving the pond,
You continue on the path,
Feeling lighter and more whole.
The labyrinth now feels like an old friend,
Each turn familiar,
Yet filled with new directions.
You notice the walls of the labyrinth begin to sparkle subtly,
As if tiny stars are woven into the leaves.
The air is filled with a gentle humming,
The collective whispers of your ancestors guiding you forward.
The path leads to a series of steps,
Each one broad and smooth.
You ascend them slowly,
Deliberately,
Feeling a gentle anticipation building within you.
At the top of the steps,
You find yourself before a grand doorway.
It's crafted from ancient wood,
Carved with intricate symbols and patterns.
You reach out and touch the door,
Feeling the energy pulsing beneath your fingertips.
The door opens slowly,
Inviting you inside.
You step through and find yourself in a grand hall.
The ceiling arches high above,
Adorned with constellations that shimmer softly.
In the center of the hall stands a grand table.
Upon it rests a book,
Large and ancient,
Its cover adorned with symbols that feel both mysterious and familiar.
You approach the table and gently open the book.
The pages are filled with writing and illustrations,
The stories of your ancestors,
Their hopes,
Dreams and lessons learned.
As you turn each page,
You absorb the wisdom contained within.
You see stories of love and loss,
Triumph and challenges,
Moments of joy,
And times of sorrow.
Each story adds to the understanding,
Enriching your own journey.
You realize that this book is ever growing,
With new pages being added as each generation lifts their lives.
You are both a reader and a contributor to the ongoing story.
Closing the book gently,
You feel a sense of purpose.
You understand that you have the power to shape your own chapter,
To carry forward the legacy in a way that is true to you.
Leaving the grand hall,
You find yourself back on the path.
The labyrinth now seems to glow softly,
The energy vibrant and very much alive.
You walk with renewed confidence,
Each step purposeful.
The echoes of your ancestors now feel like a chorus of support.
Your voices blending harmoniously,
Guiding you even further.
The path leads you to a serene meadow.
Wildflowers sway gently in the breeze,
And the grass is soft beneath your feet.
You lie down in the meadow,
Looking up at the sky.
Clouds drift by,
Their shapes shifting and changing.
And as you watch,
The clouds form images,
Symbols and messages meant just for you.
So allow these symbols to resonate within you,
Offering guidance and of course insights.
Feel the connection between the earth and the sky above,
A balance of grounding and openness.
And after some time,
You decide to stand up.
Feeling refreshed,
You continue along the path,
Which now begins to gently lead you towards the center of the grand labyrinth.
As you approach,
You notice a soft glow emanating from the heart of the labyrinth.
The path opens into a circular space,
Where a magnificent tree stands tall.
This is the tree of life,
Its branches reaching high into the sky,
Its roots deep within the earth.
The leaves shimmer with a light of their own,
And the air around it is filled with a sense of awe.
You walk up to the tree,
And place your hand on its trunk.
The bark is warm,
Pulsing with life.
You feel a connection surge through you,
A link between you,
The tree,
And all of your ancestors.
Closing your eyes,
You feel the energy flow between you and the tree.
Visions pass through your mind,
Memories from times long past,
Lessons learned,
And love shared.
You understand that the tree represents your family lineage,
The roots symbolizing your ancestors,
The trunk representing you,
And the branches reaching out to future generations.
You take in a deep breath,
Allowing this profound connection to fill you completely.
You feel grounded,
Supported,
And empowered.
Taking a step back,
You notice a small object at the base of the tree.
You bend down to pick it up,
And find that it's a token,
A keepsake left here just for you.
Now it might be a smooth stone with a symbol etched into it,
A feather,
A small piece of wood carved with care.
Whatever it is,
It holds a personal significance just for you,
A reminder of this journey and the connections you've made.
You place the token close to your heart,
Knowing it will serve as a touchstone in your life,
A reminder of the strength and wisdom within you.
As you walk,
You reflect on the echoes you've encountered,
The memories,
Feelings,
And lessons from your ancestors.
Each has contributed to who you are,
Offering guidance and support.
You notice that the labyrinth feels different now.
It's as if the walls are gently guiding you,
Celebrating your journey.
The flowers seem more vibrant,
And the air more fragrant.
You come across a gentle stream that crosses your path.
Kneeling beside it,
You cup your hands and take a sip of the cool,
Refreshing water.
As you drink,
You feel revitalized,
The water cleansing and energizing you.
Standing up,
You continue on,
Feeling lighter with each step.
The path leads you to a familiar spot,
The entrance of the labyrinth,
Where your journey began.
You pause here,
Turning to look back at the path you've traveled.
Stepping out of the labyrinth,
You find yourself back in the warm,
Golden light that first guided you.
It surrounds you,
Filling you with peace and protection.
So begin to bring your awareness back to your physical body.
Feel the surface beneath you,
A chair or floor supporting you.
Notice the weight of your body,
The fabric of the clothing against your skin.
Take a deep breath in,
Feeling your lungs expand,
And exhale slowly.
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
Reawakening your muscles.
Roll your shoulders slowly,
Easing away any stiffness.
Gently turn your head from side to side,
Feeling the stretch in your neck.
And when you're ready,
Take another deep breath in,
And as you exhale,
Slowly open your eyes now.
And when you're ready,
Orient yourself to your surroundings.
Notice the colors,
The shapes,
And the light in the room.
Good work today,
And namaste.
