I invite you to sit up nice and tall,
Reaching your spine up toward the sky,
Aligning your head over your heart and your heart over your pelvis,
And noticing the body,
And connect into your sitz bones.
And with each breath,
Moving in and out of the nose,
Allow yourself to settle further into the earth.
As you're grounding down into the earth,
Notice the energy that you're receiving back from the earth.
Feel that connection,
Notice the support that's beneath you.
Sending gratitude to the earth below the sky above,
And recognition that you are alive and breathing in this moment.
Maintaining that awareness in the body and the breath,
Feel how you're feeling,
Feel how the body is breathing itself.
Notice the rise and fall of the chest,
Notice that natural expansion and contraction in the belly,
In the belly,
And soften into that feeling of gratitude for the body and the breath.
Bring attention to the heart space.
Recognize all the ways that the heart functions within the body,
And all the ways that it allows you to connect with your world.
Breathing into that heart space,
Noticing and recognizing that life force,
Sending gratitude,
And coming into the present moment awareness.
Inviting the breath all the way down into the belly,
And all the way back out again.
Again,
Recognizing the breath and the body,
The natural movement that each allows the other.
Feel the body softening and opening into this awareness.
Allow for tension to release from the forehead,
From the shoulders,
From the belly and the thighs.
And now I invite you to intentionally turn the corners of your mouth upward.
And notice how the body reacts to this subtle movement,
And lean into that sensation,
Lean into that feeling.
Again,
Taking a deep breath in,
And a long breath out.
And as you lean into that sensation,
Go ahead and label it happiness,
Joy,
Bliss,
And remain with that.
Hold that smile.
Explore what arises,
And meet it with curiosity.
Take a deep breath in,
And a long breath out.
Notice now that this sensation of joy and happiness is available to you right here and right now.
You created that.
Doing something as simple as sitting still,
Noticing the body,
Noticing the breath,
Grounding into the earth,
And recognizing gratitude,
Observing,
That is what brought you joy.
The more that you can be present,
The more that you can be present in awareness,
The more you can free yourself from thinking about what may come next.
The more that you can be present,
The more you can free yourself from ruminating on whatever has already happened.
The more that you can come into the present moment,
The more available you are to notice the joy.
Deep breath in,
And long breath out.
Notice that joy is not found,
It is created.
Joy is most available to you when you are available,
And in the present moment,
In the here,
And in the now.
Release any tension and rest your whole body in this state of joy,
And identify yourself with this feeling.
This is your best and most essential self.
Take a deep breath in,
And a long breath out.
This happiness and this joy is what remains when you drop all of the other ruminating and negative thoughts.
This is what comes when you leave behind the to-do list,
The busyness,
And the chaos.
This joy is what remains when you're nowhere else,
But right here and right now.
This joy is you.
This is your natural state.
This is your natural state.
Recall this sensation,
And remember that this joy is available to you at any time.
It lives within you.
Anytime that you wanna come back to this feeling,
You wanna come back to this feeling,
Stop,
Listen,
Feel,
Observe,
And notice.
Take a deep breath in,
And a long breath out.
Acknowledge the ease.
Acknowledge the spaciousness.
Acknowledge the gratitude,
And acknowledge that inner smile and that sensation of joy.
Get to know what joy feels like in your body,
And notice where it is that you feel it.
And make a promise to yourself right now to remember this joy,
To lean towards the joy,
And to notice who you truly are,
Because this,
This is you.
Moving forward with positivity and knowing that when you are able to come into the present moment,
You can and will create joy.
