Feel your feet on the earth.
Imagine a triangle between your big toe and your little toe and your heel.
If you are standing,
Make sure your knees are soft.
Let your hips roll around.
Do a little bit of exploring,
Listening to your pelvis,
To what it wants to do.
Allow your shoulders to roll back,
The scapula unfurling.
I like wings.
Your heart center opening.
Your spine unrolling and rising through the crown of your head.
Your chin slightly tucked back.
Your orifices,
What we call in Taoism the two lower gates,
Closing slightly like a gentle kegel.
Your tongue on the roof of your mouth.
This keeps chi from leaking out of the core of the body.
Take a couple breaths,
Allowing air to consciously fill deep,
Deep,
Deep all the way down to your lower dantian,
Which is an energy center below the belly button.
Gently make sure that as you're exhaling,
You're letting all of the toxins out fully and deeply exhaling.
Take a moment to be present to whatever your body is telling you.
Sensations in our body are messages.
If there are places of tension,
Places that are itchy or tight,
Bring your awareness to those parts of the body and try to humbly ask what the body is asking from your consciousness.
If it needs a little massage or just some loving touch.
When you're ready,
Rub your hands together just like you're excited.
You're generating heat and bringing energy,
Chi,
Life force between your palms where the laogong energetic gate is.
This is awakening and allowing chi to build up at that potent source.
Then place it over your lower dantian,
Which is right below your belly button.
Envision within you on the center line your dantian,
Which in Daoism we actually call it an elixir field of powerful energy.
Become aware of it in the beautiful systems of South Asia.
Folks call those energy centers chakras.
Just let that beautiful potent elixir field of your energy awaken.
Feel your hands again with a she,
With chi,
With energy.
Rub them together again,
Making sure to exhale completely any toxins.
Place your laogong,
Your heart,
The heart on your hands,
Upon your heart center,
The middle dantian,
Which is also on the center line.
Again,
You're just awakening that elixir field,
Bringing your consciousness to that source of wisdom and power that is your inheritance and your toolkit and an inviolable source of personal power.
Then envision a connection between the middle dantian and the lower dantian,
Connecting the wisdom of your roots with the wisdom of your heart.
Again,
Bring your hands together and rub them gently,
Gathering chi.
Do a deep breath,
Releasing all the toxins.
Bring your palms to tianmu,
Which is an energy center,
About a thumb's width above the center line between your eyebrows.
It's in your forehead.
That's where the upper dantian elixir field is located.
There's a lot of beautiful acupuncture points that have names relating to stars and the heavens.
It's a more celestial dantian,
But also an elixir field.
Give it some love.
Awaken it.
Remind yourself of that inherent starry divinity wisdom within you.
Bring your awareness to the connection between the upper dantian and the middle dantian in your heart and with the lower dantian in your pelvis area,
The pelvic cavity.
See that sacred connection between these three elixir fields.
It might be moonlight or rainbows or stars,
Whatever is true for your energy.
And then take three breaths,
Inhaling deeply down,
Down,
Down,
As deep as you can go,
To charge up those energy fields.
Make sure you exhale fully,
Releasing any toxins or blockages that might have accumulated in those dantian.
And bring your hands together,
Bringing the two dantian to all three dantians and then gathering in what sometimes we call the prayer position,
The palms facing each other.
Bounce your knees a little bit if you're standing.
Bounce your knees a little bit if you're standing.
And wiggle your toes.
Come back to awareness of your physical body,
Not just the energy body.
And gently come back,
Opening your eyes and go about your day more deeply connected to the inner sources of power.
