This Chakra Balancing Meditation will increase your awareness of your Chakras and the energy body (Pranomaya Kosha). Learn to analyze and revitalize your energy system. This practice follows the fundamental principles of India’s medicinal system, Ayurveda (Ayur=Life / Veda=Science). Like Chinese and Tibetan medicines, as well as many Indigenous health systems, Ayurveda views a human being as a microcosm of the natural world. The ancient tradition of pranic (energy) awareness promotes healing at the deepest level. Benefits of Chakra Balancing • Empower and support yourself to understand and harmonize your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual self. • Relax and restore balance if you are feeling overwhelmed or disconnected. • Assist yourself to work through or release negative energy, thoughts, or habits that may be impacting your well-being. • Bring feelings of peace, centredness, and an ability to cope better with the challenges of life. Enjoy!

Ten minute chakra meditation.

So find yourself comfortable either sitting or laying.

Take a moment to relax through the body,

Especially around the face,

The jaw,

Shoulders,

Belly,

Through the hips and the legs.

Notice your breath coming in and out of the nose or the mouth.

And if you're comfortable,

Close the eyes or soften the gaze.

And then we're going to put our focus on the base chakra in the tailbone area.

And notice what sensations you can feel there,

If there's a lightness or heaviness.

Is there movement there or stillness?

Bringing your attention up now to your second chakra,

Svaristana.

So below the navel,

Located deep in the body,

Around the sexual organs.

And what do you feel?

Is it light?

Is it heavy?

Is it moving or still?

Spacious or closed?

So without judgement,

Simply observing.

Keep relaxing through the body as you come up now to Manipura,

Third chakra,

Located just above the navel,

Along the spine.

Find the space and then see what's there.

Does it feel light?

Or contracted?

Can you sense some circular movement or is it still?

Scanning up now,

Bringing your attention to your heart chakra,

Anahata.

So putting your focus and attention in the heart space.

What do you find?

What can you sense and observe?

Just letting it be as it is,

Either moving,

Still,

Light or heavy.

Simply being in the space.

Breathing into the space.

And then coming up to Vishuddha,

The throat chakra.

So putting your awareness in the throat and again opening up to what happens.

Do you start to get some sense of rotation and movement or does it feel that that space is still,

Heavy?

Watching,

Allowing,

Breathing,

Relaxing.

Now shifting your attention once more coming up to the third eye,

Ajna chakra.

So putting your attention behind the brow,

Deep in the brain,

The skull.

Watch that space and see what happens.

Does your awareness start to move with this circular energy of the wheel or is the space,

The chakra perhaps lacking in energy and you feel the stillness,

Some contraction,

Some heaviness?

So not pushing,

Not making anything happen,

Only placing your awareness in the Ajna chakra and watching.

Relaxed concentration.

And then finally coming up to the crown chakra.

So finding the energy centre just above the crown.

Trust yourself about locating each centre.

Be patient.

Be patient.

And then when you're there,

Opening up,

Being the observer,

Watching,

Noticing.

Again if you feel that the space of the crown chakra is open,

Just gently keep your awareness and allow whatever to arise to arise.

If it feels heavy or still,

Gently breathe into that space.

So if you have gone through each centre and found any that are heavy or stuck and you have the time,

Go back,

Place your attention in that space,

See what happens,

Breathe in there,

Bring your heart energy,

Your prana.

Be open to information,

Words,

Images,

Anything that might help you to understand the centre and what will bring it flow and energy.

Otherwise,

Slowly taking your time to come back to the breath,

Back to the body.

Take any stretches that feel good.

And then enjoy your day or your night.
