Sound of Om & Vibration Healing
Defined as a mantra or vibration, Om is traditionally chanted at the beginning and end of yoga sessions. The mantra which is derived from Hinduism and Yoga contains high spiritual and creative power and can be recited by anyone. Rich in meaning and depth, Om is both a sound and symbol.

And tonight's topic is on the sound of Aum and vibrational healing for your body.
And Aum,
As I was mentioning in the newsletter,
It's a mantra.
And mantras are sacred sounds,
Generally they're words,
But they're sacred words and sacred sounds that basically permeate the energy field and go into areas of the body where the mind can't reach,
Where reason can't reach.
So oftentimes we're holding energy somewhere and for example you might listen to a song and you might be feeling absolutely fine and then this song just touches you.
It's the sound,
It's the vibration,
It's the tone,
It's the words,
There's something about the frequency of that particular note or that song that just kind of gets you right there.
Mantras are very similar,
They work on the subtle body and they are very,
Very healing and there are many,
Many mantras that exist.
I tend to lean more towards the yoga tradition,
But there are many mantras in many traditions.
So the one we're going to focus on tonight is very simply the sound of Aum,
Which is one that you're probably familiar with,
But it is evoking,
It comes from yoga and it's evoking Brahman,
Which is the universe and universal consciousness and connecting to all of life and essentially if I were to translate that into the held in light work,
My work,
It's about connecting to the divine and when you chant Aum with intention and focus on a particular area of the body,
You're invoking consciousness in that area of the body.
So I wanted to work with that in healing tonight that we tune in,
It's basically a chakra clearing but using the sound of Aum to bring universal consciousness into areas of the body where it feels like perhaps consciousness might be needed or something needs to clear.
And I also want to mention too,
There are specific chants for the chakras.
I'm not going to go into those,
I know some of you may be aware of that,
But I'm just going to stick to the sound of Aum for each of the power centers.
And we're going to work with this in two different ways.
One is that in the newsletter you may have seen that I wrote Aum with two different spellings.
Aum,
The sound Aum,
We're going to work with the Om,
They're both the same,
But the reason I was writing out the Aum is because we're going to do Om in each power center,
But there is a way that Om initiates at the pelvic floor itself and the whole entire sound rises up through the body and out through the crown of the head.
That's the Aum sound,
It's the tones of the vowels and then the M at the end.
I'll be more specific about that when we go into it,
But we're going to Aum specifically in each power center and I'll guide you through that and what you're going to be clearing as we do that.
And then we're going to do a full chakra cleansing or clearing with the sound of Aum focusing on the power centers.
So I'll walk you through it as we go.
So go ahead and just take some deep breaths and allow yourself to arrive here.
If your energy is wandering in any other direction,
Just visualize you have this strong pillar from the crown of your head to your tailbone and you're calling your energy back like that pillar is a magnet and draws you back into you.
And then from your hips and your sit bones,
Your grounding cord reaches into the earth and this is your pipeline to connecting to a slower frequency.
The grounding force is much slower than what we're used to here operating on.
Our minds are used to going quickly,
We're used to multitasking.
It's going to let the base of your body,
Of our bodies,
Anchor in more towards the earth as the earth energy rises up to essentially slow your tempo.
And the slowing of that tempo may also slow down your breath.
And just take some deep breaths as you're allowing that earth energy to rise.
And at the same time,
You're allowing your energy to descend to counter actions happening that create grounding.
That the earth supports you and it's that you surrender down to it.
I pray that there's a great sphere of divine grace surrounding each one of us and that we are in a healing space,
A sacred space for healing.
And that there's power in the collective of each of us being on this call,
Joining and sharing our hearts and intentions,
Which is to heal,
Which is to transform ourselves,
Just to center.
As we share that as a collective,
It has meaning,
It has impact,
Knowing that we're not alone.
Even if sometimes we feel alone.
I pray that the sacred space is held for our time together and that may it support those in our lives through our own personal work.
I pray that our connections are open to the divine and that we receive the light of God of grace through the top of our heads and that it sources our spirit,
That it animates our soul.
And that light pours all the way down through to the base of your tailbone,
To the home of the origin of your being,
Your family system,
Your connection to this earth,
How you feed yourself,
How well you care for your body,
How much rest you get,
How you live the human experience.
It's all stored in this root chakra area of the body.
And as our pipelines are protected with pure love,
I give thanks to our angels and guides for being here at this time,
Supporting us and bringing the sounds,
The vibrations and the mantras here to support.
Even if you can't hear them with your physical ears,
Can you hear them with your intuitive ears?
I'm grateful for being of service in the highest way that I may be,
And silently to yourself you can accept this healing.
And then draw your attention back down into your root chakra.
Again this is an area of home and security here on this earth.
It's also a very primary bond that forms here between us and the divine,
And us and the earth,
And us and humanity.
And that bond is trust.
This is where our trust bond forms.
And we may have had life experiences that have breached that trust on some level.
Like I can't trust anybody,
Or I don't know that I'm going to have enough.
Is there going to be enough money,
Enough love?
And that energy,
It forms a particular anxiety in the body when we have a breach in our trust,
Or a break in the root chakra,
Or below the root chakra,
In the pillar,
Or in the grounding cord rather.
I want you to imagine that you are going to stand on a big rock there at the base of your tailbone,
A small version of you.
And this is the spiritual you,
Your bright soul.
And that bright soul part of you has the ability to transform and a higher knowing about what's possible for you here.
The human part of you might remember the wounds.
So we're going to tune into the spiritual part of you.
Bright soul that has the desire and the ability to heal and transform.
I want you to imagine that you are going to stand on a rock there at the base of your tailbone.
And we're going to chant Om three times here at your tailbone to tone this area.
And you can just follow my lead on your own.
Take a deep breath in.
Inhale fully.
Inhale to chant.
Om.
Om.
Om.
Om.
Om.
Om.
Om.
Om.
Om.
Om Now capture the sound of Aum at your tailbone and feel there that the Aum is going to start to heal any breach in trust or any sense that you have walked out of yourself in that area.
It's going to bring you into alignment and let your spirit prevail in this area.
The power of trust and stability,
Being reliable to yourself,
Dependable to yourself.
Take your stance there and let the sound of Aum fill that space.
You're going to walk your consciousness now up into your second chakra,
Which is in the pelvic bowl between the pubic bone and the sacrum.
It sits also between the hip bones inside you.
It's a bright orange power center.
The first one,
By the way,
Is red.
Second is orange,
Typically.
This power center takes a lot.
It's creativity,
It's passion,
It's sexuality,
It's owning your own emotions,
Owning your center here,
Your feminine center,
Which also requires trust in that you are going with the flow more,
Trusting the divine more,
As opposed to being overly scheduled or overly planned and too rigid.
Some things that really affect this area is a deep criticism of self.
Sometimes we're overly critical of ourselves and we're hard on ourselves.
That's a wound to this area of the body.
Sometimes that comes from actually witnessing our family being hard on themselves or them being hard on us,
Somehow growing up with the criticism.
It's often demonstrated to us to be hard on ourselves,
But it develops the victimizing mind or the victimizing voice,
The inner critic.
This power center needs the sounds of softness,
Of sweetness.
It's the water element,
So it has that fluid go with the flow,
Relax into the flow kind of feeling.
What's very powerfully healing for the second chakra is the feminine quality of softness,
Which reminds us that our rest times and our relaxation times are just as important and rejuvenating for the fire that we are in the world.
We need that deep reserve.
If we don't have it,
We burn our matches instead of lighting the candle.
Take some deep breaths into the second chakra,
The pelvic bowl,
With the intention of sweetness and even that feeling of the water element that you're on a beach,
You're walking on a beach and perhaps it's sunset.
It's that time of day where the fire's cooled off,
The sun has cooled down,
And it's still warm out and you can still wear something light.
Just as you're on this beach,
Imagine that you're picking up a conch shell and you're going to blow that conch shell with the sound of om in this area of the body.
By blowing our little chant om here,
But the image is mirroring that the conch shell sound and that it dissolves in your second chakra any energy of criticism,
Of hurtful words,
Of harshness,
And that it begins to heal just through the tone,
Your sense of your feminine,
The importance of your feminine,
Or even just the presence of your feminine stepping into this area of the body.
So inhale and then exhale completely and then inhale the chant.
Om.
Om.
Om.
Take a deep breath in and let that sound permeate through the whole pelvis,
The pelvic floor to the top of the hip bones,
Through your sexual organs.
Let the tone do what the tone needs to do for you.
Your tonal healing might be different than someone sitting next to you.
You're igniting the light of the divine into this area of the body.
And we'll bring your awareness now up into your solar plexus between the navel and the diaphragm.
And by the way,
If you feel that you could always come back to any of these power centers,
If it feels like,
Oh,
I'm not ready to move on to the next one,
Just know that you can come back and continue to om in that area as long as you would like to.
But just for the sake of time,
We're going to transition up into the solar plexus.
And it's in the navel center between the navel and the diaphragm.
And it's typically a beautiful yellow power center.
And this is your center.
It's the masculine in the body,
Which has us be out there in the world.
The feminine is more about yin,
Pulling in and resting and introverted and intuitive.
The yang or the fire,
The masculine,
Is more about how we are out there in the world.
What are we putting out there?
How are we presenting?
And how do we do that with confidence or without confidence?
That determines what is determined by what is in the solar plexus,
What belief systems we have,
How we feel about ourselves,
How much we also align to the divine here,
How much faith we have in who we are and the mission that we've been given to be on this Earth.
How to serve on some level the divine will.
How we do that with our own personal energy.
And one of the things that actually really,
Let's say one of the wounds in this area tends to be a deep insecurity and a fear here about being who we're here to be and the insecurity that not only that we haven't gotten the encouragement in life perhaps,
But we don't have enough faith in ourselves,
Enough backbone in who we are to actually succeed at our goals or to have enough energetic oomph or fire behind our intentions.
We have the intentions but we don't always follow through with the intentions.
That's this power center.
It's about how do we get the energetics in this area to work with our intentions.
How does our heart and our core align?
So this power center,
It's typically,
It's depicted as a golden sun or yellow sun often.
And so I'd like you to imagine seeing it as this bright sun and at the same time the divine comes down to the back of your solar plexus.
So it sort of travels,
It's like the pillar comes down through your whole body.
But there's specifically a light that comes into the back of the solar plexus.
It's a kind of lower thoracic upper lumbar spine.
And that you're taking the divine in through the back of the solar plexus as if you are strengthening your spiritual backbone.
And then we're going to oom here three times.
And the oom is to radiate your light.
Take in the light of the divine,
Let that fuel your personal will and your power and then radiate that light.
Take a deep breath in and then exhale.
And we'll inhale the chant.
One,
Oom feet and two,
Oom Om.
Om.
Just breathe the sound of om into the sun in the center of your belly.
Let that light ignite or let it be a blazing sun,
However it needs to be for you.
Let the sound of universal consciousness and divine ignition be present.
Let it bring you present here in this area.
With the knowing that you belong here.
Your most primary mission is to live this life,
To accept this life that you've been given.
We'll transition now up towards the heart chakra.
It's a beautiful green power center in the center of the chest and the rib cage.
It glows beyond the rib cage.
This is the power center for love and compassion and kindness and generosity.
There's the human element of the heart which is about love and compassion with human beings and humanity and life itself.
Then there's the spiritual component of the heart which is about really being sourced by the divine and connecting to the divine.
Again,
Our backbone is being fueled by divine grace and so our supply of love is limitless.
It's not that I need this one person in my life and if they're out of my life there's no love for me.
It's more that the divine current stays consistent through your faith,
Through your ability or willingness to connect to the divine energetically here.
To let that faith channel build and the heart be sourced in a way that says there is enough love for you.
No matter who you're with,
You are loved.
One of the beautiful healings of the heart chakra is that OM is such a power of the heart,
It's such a tone for the heart that it invokes that spiritual connection right there.
If it feels like you need a little love,
You haven't gotten enough or your heart feels closed because there's been hurt or there's protection or rejection,
Any reason,
Whatever it is.
There's a closed feeling here that the power of the OM can invoke the divine in this area in a way that starts to dissolve all of the shell.
It also means that it requires you to be vulnerable.
It creates a softening here in the heart.
Imagine that you are sitting there in the center of your own heart.
Maybe you can imagine it's you as an adult or you can imagine it's you as your own inner child.
But there's an innocence that exists here.
The sense that the inner child within us,
It's so easy for the inner child to connect to the divine.
It's so easy for the two-year-old or the four-year-old to be closer to God because it wasn't that long before they were in mommy's belly that they were in that source light.
So coming back to that innocence of just knowing the divine,
Swimming in that light,
Breathe that consciousness into this area,
Into your heart to invoke the divine and the sense of love there in the center of your heart.
Take a deep breath in and then exhale completely.
Inhale to chant.
Aum.
Aum.
Feel the acoustics of Aum in your heart.
Let Aum move through your heart in a way that evokes healing and connection to yourself and connection to the divine.
You're going to bring your awareness now up into your throat chakra.
Typically a blue power center right there in your throat.
It opens in the front.
It opens in the back and this power center is about speaking.
It's also about listening.
It's also about listening intuitively to your intuition,
To the divine,
To your higher self.
Just notice when the speaking and the listening are out of balance.
When the listening is closed down that actually makes mental chatter.
Or if we're swallowing back our words or sounds or our words or our feelings in this area in the throat.
Holding back the fear I can't speak,
The fear I can't speak my truth,
I will hurt somebody if I say what I want to say,
Etc.
You're going to chant Aum in this area to purify the voice and the words and the feelings in this area that might be held.
So you're going to take a deep breath in here and then exhale with your mouth open.
We'll do one more inhaling and exhale.
We'll inhale to chant Aum here in the throat.
Aum Aum Take a deep breath in.
Exhale with your mouth open.
Let out any energy that needs to release from your throat.
Then we'll bring our awareness now up into the third eye center.
And this is a power center for intuitively seeing.
That also means perception,
Having clear perception about something or about situations.
It's about having big ideas and visions for yourself,
For your life,
For who you are.
It's about seeing yourself clearly.
This area gets really clogged by a lot of mental information and also including thoughts of the ego,
I'll say doubts and fears,
And a lot of input that comes in from what you see around you.
So if you're in a particular environment or you're on the computer a lot or TV or something,
You're taking in a lot of information through the frontal lobe.
It may affect how you feel about yourself.
If you're taking in a lot of scenery or nature,
You might actually feel differently,
Feel more connected to yourself.
So we're going to chant Aum here to raise spiritual awareness in this area of your body,
Your true self.
Not the ego self,
But the true self,
The light of higher consciousness in this area,
And that you are attuned to your spirit,
To spiritual awareness.
When we're more in our ego,
That's where we get disconnected and there's a lot of fear.
We tune into our spirit or feel more connected to the spirit.
We're in more trust and faith.
Take a deep breath in and exhale completely.
Inhale to chant.
Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
Let the sound of Aum permeate through your mind,
Invoking the light of consciousness and peace in your mind.
We're going to tone the crown chakra through a chanting Aum from the base of the spine,
From the root chakra,
All the way up through the power centers and up and out through the crown.
I'll just demonstrate once.
We start with Aum.
This is where we'll transition to Aum,
Just visualizing perhaps that spelling of it.
It's the same,
But it's a different spelling.
We start Aum up and out through the top of the head.
So A is at the root chakra.
It expands.
O is about the solar plexus.
O is about the heart chakra.
Then right about the third eye,
You transition to the M.
The crown chakra is actually NG.
N is in Nancy,
G is in George.
It's actually an Aum.
It's hard to translate that via phone,
But if you can imagine,
It goes from the M as in Mary,
And then you end with the NG sound.
We'll chant that three times in cleansing the whole central channel,
And then up and out through the crown.
Imagine that your consciousness,
Your spiritual light,
Is going to wash down through your aura.
It's not shooting up,
Straight up.
Rather,
It's kind of fountaining over your entire energy field.
So take a deep breath in,
And exhale completely.
And we'll begin Aum.
Aum.
Good.
Just feel the silent Aum in your body.
Feel it also around you,
Around your aura.
Let the vibration of that Aum resonate through your system in a way that awakens spiritual consciousness,
The light of the divine in your being.
I pray that each of us are held in our own spheres of light,
And that our energy is in our own bodies.
I give thanks for this opportunity to be of service here in the highest way that I may be.
And I pray that you each take this chant,
This Aum,
This mantra into your night,
Into your life,
And use it.
You can use it anytime you want to bring yourself to center or invoke consciousness where you feel like you're checking out or doing something outside of yourself.
You can use Aum to bring yourself back in,
Invoke that sacred sound.
I'm grateful for being of service in the highest way that I may be,
And I pray that you all walk in the love and the light of who you are,
And that you may be guided by your own true hearts every step of the way.
And thank you.
