In a world that moves quickly, we often forget to slow down and truly feel the good moments — the ones filled with joy, peace, or simple safety. This short meditation is an invitation to pause, breathe, and savor what feels good. Think of it as a little joy snack for your soul.

Welcome to Grounded with Wendy.

This is a meditation about savoring.

The beautiful,

Often overlooked art of lingering in what is good.

Too often we are rushing,

Checking the boxes of our to-do list,

And just moving fast.

But what if we slowed just enough to taste life as it unfolds?

Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.

Let yourself arrive right here,

Right now,

Meditating together.

And if it feels good to you,

Gently close your eyes and let your body settle into a comfortable place.

Let your breath be soft and natural.

And we'll just start by noticing what's here.

Perhaps name how this moment feels like in your body.

Feel the ground.

Feel that sense of support from Mother Earth.

Perhaps feel a sense of safety in your stillness.

And just the simplicity of being here,

Right now.

Now we're going to just gently bring to mind a moment.

It can be something very recent or long ago where you felt joy or peace or a sense of feeling safe.

And let that moment come into focus,

Kind of like a photograph that's becoming clear.

Where were you at this time?

What are the colors and the sounds and sensations that are around you?

And simply linger here for a few moments and let yourself savor this memory.

You know,

We savor bites of deliciousness.

Let's savor in this moment.

Stay with this moment,

Perhaps breathing into it,

Welcoming the feelings that come into you.

Feel it in your chest.

Perhaps a little bit of a smile on your face.

Maybe your fingertips are tingling a little bit.

We're not doing anything with this.

We're just receiving it.

We're receiving the feeling of savoring this moment that feels like joy and peace and safety.

And by noticing it and feeling it,

We're nurturing it with our attention.

Doing this helps us really get it into our nervous system,

Letting this savored moment nourish us.

And take a few more breaths here,

Breathing in the goodness and letting this moment root into your memory and into your body.

And as we come to the end of this short meditation,

We're releasing the image and know that you can return to it at any time and name the goodness that it brought you.

Take one more full,

Slow breath in.

And as you open your eyes and enter into your day or into your evening,

Carry this feeling forward with you and know that you can pause and you can savor and you can let it linger in your heart to help you feel good.

Thank you for meditating with me today.

Lovely invitation into the present moment and into a memory of joy. I'm more relaxed than before this meditation. Thank you.
