Welcome to Grounded with Wendy.
Today I welcome you into this sacred time where we will be bathing in the light.
Today we'll be going straight to meditation and if you just get as comfortable as possible,
Whatever that means to you,
If you feel comfortable,
Please close your eyes and in whatever position and posture you're in,
Go to your body and just do a short body scan and if there's tightness anywhere,
Sprinkle it with a little bit of light and relaxation.
I like to think of meditation time as sacred time.
It's not perfect time but it's sacred time and I use the word perfect because we often come to meditation wanting to clear everything away and be in this perfect harmony and that takes a lot of practice so just let's take a few moments of sacred time and just be with what is.
This practice offering today is a cleansing process.
I like to think of this as bathing in the light.
Go to your breath now and just notice it coming in and out through your nose.
If you haven't already,
Please rest your eyes closed if that's comfortable for you.
Take your final adjustments and be as still as comfortable.
I'd like you to imagine above your head a white light,
White,
Clear,
Bright,
Shiny like diamonds and it is full of peace,
Equanimity,
It is full of pure love and we are welcoming this bathing light to enter in through the top of our head and fill us from head to toe,
Filling us through our head,
Over our eyes,
Over our face and it's not just over us on our skin but it's also inside of us washing through our skull and our brain.
This white light showering us and filling us with pure love and a gentle strength that is all comfort and peace.
It resonates with you.
There is no resistance.
There's only a welcome of this light to help bathe us in pure love.
Let it pour into you,
Through your body,
Through your blood,
Into your breath.
Let it fill the cavity of your body,
Let your whole body shine.
Fill yourself from head to toe and imagine your hands open,
Palms out,
Palms in,
Bathing in the light,
Having this light pour out of you through your hands and your feet so it it fills the space that you're in.
Let the light be like a a pond that keeps growing,
That fills the space that you're in with this pure love and light.
Let this light be a balm,
Invite you to feel lighter in your body.
And this light filling every nook and crack that is you.
And as we close this beautiful,
Simple bathing in the light practice,
May we remember as we take this into our day that we can breathe into a moment like this in many moments that are throughout our day.
We can call upon this light of love and peace,
Even if it's just a pinprick of light or we could bask in it,
We could spend time in it.
May this light bring you peace and love today.
