Thank you so much for joining me for this little meditation around healing.
Often when we are healing,
We tend to focus on the final result,
On the culmination of our healing journey and not on the process that healing can be.
With all of our attention on the end,
On the healed version of ourselves,
We can sometimes be drawn into comparing where we are now with where we want to be.
And this can leave us feeling like we are lacking or not as far along as we should be.
Instead,
Let us sink into the twists and turns,
The light and shadow that can be the healing journey.
These affirmations are for where we are right now to help support and nourish us as we move down this path.
Take a few moments to get comfortable.
Moving up or laying down both are fine,
Just making sure that you have access to your heart space and that your chest stays open.
You can gently begin to bring your awareness to your breath,
Feeling how your inhales lift your chest,
Expand your ribcage and move through your belly.
Feeling how the exhale lets everything relax back to center,
To come back home,
Long and slow,
A great emptying.
Let your breath fill your chest,
Fill your heart space.
Let warmth and presence and compassion for yourself move through your body.
Take a moment to acknowledge where you are on this healing journey,
Not just how far you have to go,
But how far you have come.
All of the big things that have been soothed and the little things too that are easily forgotten but so important.
Breathe through the thoughts,
Feelings and emotions that might be coming in.
They are messages and reminders and guides.
Let your mind and body calm,
Giving yourself permission to just be here now,
Present in this moment,
Within your body,
Within your soul.
As we move through these affirmations,
Let yourself be aware of the spaces in your bodies and the corners of your spirit that resonate.
If something sounds and feels right to you,
You can repeat it.
If something doesn't resonate,
That's okay,
You can let it fall away.
I make space for all parts of my healing journey.
I am grateful for my ability to heal both my physical body and my emotional self.
I am valuing my progress as I heal.
I recognize that healing isn't linear and I look for the beauty in the twists and turns.
I find joy in the moments that arise every day,
Not waiting for joy to arrive when I am further on my journey.
I understand that people may not resonate with my progress and my process and this is okay.
My progress and my process is what works for me.
I let in light as I heal.
I am a body,
A soul and a spirit in movement.
I heal as I go.
I am able to breathe deep as I encounter pain mixed in with all the beauty.
Every day,
I trust myself in a more profound way.
I am able to let go of things that no longer serve me when I am ready.
I am willing and open to challenging myself in new ways.
I trust in my body's ability to heal itself.
I nourish myself in big or small ways every day.
I listen deeply to the whispered words of my soul.
I find gratitude in all the corners of my life and this gratitude supports my healing journey.
As you let some of these affirmations sink in,
Reconnect to your breath,
Finding solace in this gentle rhythm.
Lean into what feels right to you and let go of that which doesn't resonate.
Today let's set the intention that we move forward with compassion for ourselves along our healing journey.
