Welcome dear ones,
Welcome,
Welcome.
I want to talk to you about the well-being but in five steps.
You might have heard about five ways to well-being.
They've been part of my life for over seven years now and I'd like to share a story how they've changed my life and also bring it a little bit closer to you.
So this is a first talk about five ways to well-being.
In Great Britain they compare the five ways to well-being to your five a day,
Which is the fruits and vegetables and as the fruits and vegetables are supposed to make us feel healthier and better,
So are the five non-edible things that we could do daily or weekly.
It's important we include it in our week,
That will make us feel better and I've tested,
I've experimented with it,
I've helped the people using it and I've seen fantastic changes and transformations and instant improvements and there is lots of research on mental health and wellness where the five ways to well-being are mentioned.
You might find references in the health systems as well,
In the UK it would be NHS.
There was a publication on the benefits of five ways to well-being,
It was released by the New Economics Foundation.
But putting all this aside,
I want to break it down to you simply because you might be surprised but simply put,
You're probably using some of them already.
So what is the secret?
What's the secret of,
Have you seen the effects or what if you haven't?
So we feel like everything will be the,
How often do you use them,
Because the repetition is the key to incorporate it,
Not from time to time,
Once in a blue moon,
But to incorporate it as often as possible into your day or at least into your week.
So those five ways to well-being are,
The first one is connect.
They come in no particular order because we connecting here and you connecting with fellow insight timers,
I'd like to use this one as first and it's not just a connection and connecting with others but also connecting with yourself,
With your soul desires,
With your passions,
With your hobbies.
And in this particular recording,
We won't go into details but I will put separate,
Separate tracks for each of these elements because they deserve full attention.
The next one would be notice,
Noticing,
And that in a nutshell is the mindfulness and being aware,
Self-aware,
And noticing how we feel,
Noticing how far we've come.
So it's a wonderful element.
So how often do you do that during the week?
And another one is learning.
And it's about the feeling that,
You know,
When we learn something new,
When we don't just surrender to the routine,
When we don't fall into complacency,
When we learn,
We feel revived,
We feel better,
We have a purpose.
So the learning element,
It can be learning something really small and then we will go into this,
Into more details when we speak about this element,
But how long ago have you learned something new?
Or maybe listening to a new track like this one is something new we're doing.
Notice how it makes you feel.
Connect with yourself.
And you see this way,
We've actually incorporated three of them.
So there's two more.
The other one is,
Number four,
Is being active.
It goes for the physical activity,
But it's also being active mentally.
So doing something,
Thinking,
Planning,
It's being active.
So do not stop,
Do not stop.
Think of things you can do,
Plan,
Dream.
And also the physical activity because body and mind are connected.
And the final one,
My favorite one,
Is giving.
And that's why I'm here,
To give that free track to you.
And giving is,
You can work both ways.
It has been proven that giving,
When we give,
We actually feel better.
That's why it's listed amongst these five ways to well-being that are simple,
Simple ways of improving our mental health,
Our sense of satisfaction and happiness.
Give,
Also giving to yourself.
So giving yourself this me time.
So once again,
We have connect,
Notice,
Learn,
Be active,
And give.
And I hope that you found that helpful.
And I invite you to reflect now,
How often do you incorporate them in your week?
Or what can you include for this coming day and week?
Thank you,
Namaste,
And I see you soon.
