Gemma’s meditation guides you while simultaneously teaching you the subtlety of the practice. Once we allow ourselves to rest our awareness on the mantra we are giving ourselves permission to be lead inward to the depth of self. Our mantra, Soham, means, ‘I am that’ referring to the unbounded self. This meditation offers the opportunity to be lead to and experience the unbounded self, the essences of self. The life Bansuri flute and Tanpura Drone comes from Eric Fraser’s new album Raga Bye Baby.

Finding a comfortable seat.

Allowing your back to be upright.

Your feet either planted solidly on the ground or crossed underneath you.

Make your body as comfortable as possible.

Now go ahead and allow your eyes to come closed.

I'd like you to bring your awareness to your breath.

I'd like you just to notice the automatic rhythm.

I want you to notice a lack of agenda.

I want you to notice the ability of your body to breathe all by itself.

Now I'd like you to bring your attention to your seat.

And notice the connection your seat has with your cushion.

Bring your attention to your jaw.

And allow your jaw to release.

Noticing where your lower jaw can release from the upper jaw.

Seeing as your tongue begins to melt in the mouth.

Relaxing.

Letting go.

Now bring your attention to all the sounds that you can hear.

Picking out each sound one by one.

Whatever it is that's there in your environment.

Embrace each sound exactly what it is.

Without having any judgment.

I'm now taking a moment to broaden your perspective.

Start to listen to each of those sounds collectively.

As one soundscape.

Now bring you that attention of listening.

And turning it inward.

Allowing it to fall into the mantra.

So.

Hum.

So.

Hum.

Allowing the mantra to repeat as subtly as possible.

Holding the mantra as effortless as possible.

So.

If at any point you notice your attention has become engaged in your thoughts,

In your sensations,

Go ahead and let go of that desire to be engaged.

Surrender.

And then go ahead and shift your attention back to the mantra.

Swim on.

Mm.

Mm.

Mm.

Mm.

Mm.

Mm.

Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh I am divine grace I am unbounded self Self Self Oh Oh Oh To experience that Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh And then all the sounds Oh Oh Oh All the way when you're ready Oh

This was a wonderful meditation on a cold overcast morning in the snow covered high mountains. It brought light to my body, mind and heart. I will download and revisit. Thanks 🙏

Pleasant. Relaxing. I felt re-centred and re-balanced at the end. Though it did make me rather sleepy despite maintaining an alert posture.

Soothing and rekaxing. Only suggestion may be to give an explanation and purpose of the mantra in the introduction. Many may know but others like me might not.
