The Clair Senses
A bit about the five clair senses: clairsentience, clairvoyance, clairaudience, claircognizance, and clairolfactory; what they are, what they feel like, what you may experience with them, and how to heighten them

Hello everyone,
I hope you've had a beautiful week.
In today's episode,
We're going to talk about the clairsenses.
There are five clairsenses,
Clairvoyance,
Claircognizance,
Clairaudience,
Clairsentience,
And clairolfaction.
You may have heard that there are eight clairs,
Including clairgustance,
Clairtangency,
And clairempathy.
Yet clairgustance is actually associated with clairolfaction since taste and smell are biologically programmed together.
And clairtangency and clairempathy are technically not clairsenses,
But instead forms of being an empath.
The term clair is a French prefix from clair,
Meaning clear.
Therefore,
Clairsenses translate simply to clairsenses.
We all have not just one,
But every one of the clairsenses.
They are the bridge between the egoic self and the higher self,
The link that lets us know that we are not simply what the ego tells us,
But instead the universe manifested in physical form,
Only perceiving that which can be physically seen,
Heard,
Or felt.
Whether you have allowed yourself to listen to and feel your clairsenses may be based upon what you've been taught growing up,
How attached you are to the analytical mind,
Or how much physical proof your ego needs here on the 3D plane.
And yet,
You still have all of the clairs.
They're simply subjugated to the background,
Attempting to point things out and going unheeded.
So let's talk about each clairsense and discuss how they look and what they feel like.
First we have clairvoyance,
Which is the ability to clearly see.
This can come in the form of visions,
Premonitions,
Dreams,
Signs,
And symbols.
It is generally seen behind the third eye,
Sort of akin to if you stare off into space and begin seeing things in your peripheral vision.
Clairvoyance doesn't come as directly in front of you,
Unless it's in the form of a dream,
But more so as if a movie is playing alongside what you're seeing through your actual eyes.
If you have a dream that something happens and it then occurs in waking life,
This would be clairvoyance,
Also known as a premonition.
Or perhaps a friend tells you a problem they're encountering and asks for your advice,
In which you get a visual flash of how the scenario is going to play out,
What it will look like while doing so,
Or even what it may look like after making a decision.
This is clairvoyance.
Clairvoyance may not come to you as a linear picture.
You may receive insights via signs and symbols,
Leaving it up to your ego to designate meaning for said signs and symbols so that you know what they mean when they repeat themselves in future scenarios.
Next is claircognizance,
Which is the ability to clearly know.
This gets confused a lot with clairsentience,
But they differ in their delivery.
Claircognizance only comes in one way,
Knowing something for certain as if it's already happened and is a fact.
It's very straightforward.
We see claircognizance a lot with twins,
Whereby they know when the other is hurt,
In danger,
Or going through something strenuous.
For an example of claircognizance,
Say that you're asked a question about something you have never studied,
And yet you know the answer.
You don't have any idea how you know it,
But you know it nonetheless.
Claircognizance is actually where manifestation takes place,
As manifestation occurs not via what the ego desires,
But what you already know.
Next is clairaudience,
The ability to clearly hear.
It does not come in the sense that someone is sitting next to you speaking to you,
But more so in the form of a word,
Phrase,
Or even song in your head playing on a loop.
It's generally your own voice that you hear,
Which makes clairaudience the most elusive of the clairs and one of the hardest to fine-tune.
How do you trust that what you're hearing is coming from the higher self versus the ego?
The trick with clairaudience is to gradually learn to trust yourself instead of judging.
Those with more attuned clairaudience may have heard stop yelled in their head when they were driving,
Only to have missed hitting a car head-on by seconds.
Some may have a line of song in their head for no reason,
Only to figure out that the song is answering a question they've been plagued with.
Or some may just have been getting dressed in the morning and all of a sudden have heard don't eat the turkey sandwich to later get food poisoning by a turkey sandwich they randomly ate at lunch.
All of these are different forms of clairaudience.
The most common clairsense is clairsentience or the ability to clearly feel.
Whenever you have a gut feeling about something,
You're experiencing clairsentience.
Whenever you feel as if something is off or doesn't seem right,
You're experiencing clairsentience.
Whenever you feel as if something bad is going to happen,
Which then transpires,
You're experiencing clairsentience.
Clairsentience is the easiest way to get those who do not believe in clairsenses to shift their perspective a bit because everyone at some point has had a gut feeling that has turned out correct.
Just like claircognizance gets intertwined with clairsentience,
Clairsentience gets intertwined with being an empath.
Empaths are generally clairsentient,
But not all clairsentience are empaths.
This is because those with clairsentience only do not take on the feelings of others as if they are their own.
Clairsentience is feeling things and experiencing other people's feelings,
But it is not mistaken as your own feelings.
For example,
Let's say that you're dating someone and you have felt all day that something is going on with them.
They then call you late to express what a horrible day at work they had.
You're aware that the feelings in your body are not from your own experiences throughout the day,
But instead the person you're dating.
That is the difference between being clairsentient and being an empath.
Lastly,
Clairolfaction,
Also sometimes called clairalience,
Is the ability to clearly smell.
Just like clairaudience,
This clair is very hard to discern since the brain can remember scents and trigger memories without consciousness.
True clairolfaction,
However,
Comes in the way of premonitions,
But instead of images,
Scents are the primary driving force.
For example,
You are about to take a trip and the night before you leave,
You wake up smelling smoke.
The scent is overwhelming,
But there is no smoke in sight.
Whilst you are away,
There is an electrical fire at your house and it burns a room down before it's put out.
As another example,
You're washing dishes or folding laundry and you all of a sudden get a giant whiff of your father's aftershave,
Only to have him call you on the phone five minutes later.
Whether you've experienced all of the clairs,
Some of them,
One of them,
Or none of them,
You do have the ability to encourage them to show up more,
Just as you had the ability to relegate them to dark and empty corners.
It takes practice,
Patience,
And most importantly,
Trust in yourself and non-judgment as they make themselves known to you.
The clairs can come in and out based upon stress levels,
Levels of self-compassion,
And levels of non-attachment,
But are always there in the background,
Waiting for you to listen and engage.
Until next week,
All of my best and highest vibrations to you.
