
The 6 Types Of Empaths
"Empath" is a term thrown around a lot when we have big feelings, can feel the energy of others, or even when we get depleted by being around other people too much. In this episode, I'm going to talk about the six types of actual empaths, what they feel, and how to calm the nervous system down if you are one of these six types.

Hello everyone,
I hope you've had a beautiful week.
Today I want to talk about what it is to be an empath.
A lot of people believe themselves to be an empath when in actuality they're highly trained in empathy or experience incredibly heightened clear senses.
An empath doesn't necessarily have empathy and there is one difference between empaths and those who instead are strong in clairsentience and or have a disposition for strong empathy.
That difference is in whether or not the person experiencing emotions believes that the emotions are their own versus whether they are aware that the emotions are not their own,
Even though they can physically feel them.
Meaning,
If someone close to you is sad,
You may feel it physically in your body as well.
You may feel their sadness,
Feel their emotions,
Want to help,
But you're aware that the sensations in your body are not your own sensations.
A true empath is not able to distinguish between their own sensations and another's.
Empaths come from a background of trauma in which they were forced to navigate their surroundings based upon the distinction of more subtle energies in order to protect themselves and gauge what was going to happen.
For example,
If a child grew up with an emotionally abusive parent,
That child might develop overly sensitive emotionally empathic tendencies in order to predict what emotional state their parent would be in,
And also to disengage from their own emotions.
If a child grew up with a perpetually sick parent,
The child might develop overly sensitive medical empathic tendencies in order to help their parent by taking on the parent's physical pain.
Empaths want to heal.
Therefore,
They take on others' emotions,
Thoughts,
And pains in order to heal them.
But without proper self-care and protection,
This can wear the empath down so that they have nothing left of themselves.
There are six types of empaths,
Emotional empaths,
Medical empaths,
Psychometric empaths,
Geomantic empaths,
Fauna empaths,
And flora empaths.
Now we're going to talk about each of these types of empaths and what they experience,
And how to take care of yourself so that you do not drown in the energies.
I want you to remember that all energy is perceived by the filter of the ego.
Energy is the same on a quantum level,
And it is only with the ego's subjective experiences,
Feelings,
And emotions that we perceive differences in energies,
Mass,
And the perspective of other.
We are all the same,
And the feeling of energy as good,
Bad,
Other,
Or ours is solely created in the mind.
That means no matter how much you struggle to make it through the day without being bombarded or overwhelmed by others' energies,
You can control how much it affects your equilibrium.
It just takes practice and mindfulness.
An emotional empath is the most commonly referred to empath.
These are the people who take on another ego's emotions as if they are their own.
They have a hard time distinguishing what emotions actually belong to them versus what is being felt from a perceived separate energy field.
Emotional empaths can become overwhelmed easily and can feel perpetual stress,
Malaise,
Or times of elation when they are around others.
They generally prefer to keep to themselves or very small groups of those that they trust,
As large crowds can emotionally drown them.
However,
If you have these preferences,
It does not mean that you are an emotional empath,
As highly sensitive people can also share these propensities.
It is very important if you are an emotional empath to journal daily and cipher out your own emotions versus what you're taking on from others' egos.
Medical empaths,
Also called physical empaths,
Feel physical manifestation of others' physical pain as if it was their own.
If someone they're around has a stomach ache,
They too will develop a stomach ache,
Even without knowing that the other person has a malady.
They tend to get sick at the same time as those close to them,
And they tend to be simultaneously very in touch with their bodies,
But also very removed from their bodies.
They showcase being a medical empath by mirroring exactly what those around them physically feel,
Both physically pleasant and unpleasant.
It can be very easy for medical empaths to become hypochondriacs,
And also feel incredibly invalidated by doctors,
Nurses,
And those close to them,
When their medical tests show nothing wrong with them.
If you are a medical empath,
Please take self-care measures every single day.
Deep breathing exercises,
Body scan meditations,
And practices in grounding will help you to let go of that stuck energy.
Psychometric empaths absorb the energy from inanimate objects and can feel and experience the emotions of the person who owns,
Or used to own,
The object.
These empaths can usually get their empath qualities under control the easiest,
And transmute them into clear senses,
Since they realize that they only feel the emotions when they touch items.
We see psychometric empaths a lot when we go to a psychic reader,
As they have practiced and honed their skills enough to differentiate between their own emotions and those who are attached to their possessions.
If you are a psychometric empath,
A great way to feel a full-body reboot is by utilizing isolation tanks at least once a month.
This enables you to free float and get back into touch with your own senses.
Geomantic empaths,
Also called earth empaths,
Are location-based and absorb the energy either from the earth or from physical locations.
They can predict natural disasters,
Experience what the person who previously lived in their house was going through while living there,
Or even help solve crimes based on the sensations from a crime scene.
I have a friend who is a geomantic empath,
And she gets migraines three days before a large earthquake hits somewhere in the world.
As soon as the earthquake occurs,
The migraine goes away.
It happens every single time.
Terrible.
I feel for you if you're a geomantic empath,
Especially as humans destroy the planet more and more.
If you are a geomantic empath,
Practicing gratitude towards the earth is very important for you.
When you meditate,
Send gratitude and love down into the ground.
Take a walk in nature and tell the earth how much you appreciate her.
The more you specifically send out soothing energy to the planet,
The calmer the energy will be that you feel.
Now we move to fauna empaths.
Fauna empaths don't just like animals or want to be around them.
They feel the animal's physical maladies and emotional states as if they were their own,
And generally have a lot of free-floating anxiety due to both domesticated and wild animals being everywhere.
If an animal is in pain,
The fauna empath will be so overwhelmed with the same pain that it becomes crippling.
And if an animal is rescued,
The fauna empath also becomes overwhelmed because they can feel the unconditional love from the animal as if it were their own unconditional love.
If a fauna empath has a pet,
They are generally overbearing with their pet,
And their pet will have severe codependency with the empath as well.
Their energies feed off of one another,
But sometimes the fauna empath will absorb so much of the animal's energy that the animal will want nothing to do with them.
If you are a fauna empath,
The practice of non-duality is going to help you out a lot.
Understanding that there is no hierarchy or differences between anything will sever the severe attachment to animals and their emotions.
Finally,
Flora empaths are not simply people with green thumbs.
Flora empaths literally feel the energy of plants as if they're an extension of themselves.
Sure,
They know when a plant needs water or sunlight,
But they can also communicate with plants as if they're part of their root structure.
If a plant is dying around them,
Their energy too gets sapped,
And they will feel the fluctuations of seasons with the cycles of birth,
Bloom,
And death as if their emotional and physical energy depend on it.
They can grow anything,
Heal plants,
And also harm plants if they interact with them too much.
They don't notice these things unless someone points them out,
Believing that everyone has the ability and power to grow with ease.
Flora empaths usually prefer to live in climates with seasons,
But if they live in a consistent climate,
Their house will be full of plants and they will usually have a garden wherever they can make one.
If you are a flora empath,
You most likely experience blockages in your solar plexus chakra,
Which is the seat of personal power.
Breath of fire,
Core exercises,
And affirmations on sovereignty will help to move this energy.
Remember that if you are an empath,
You don't have to live your current incarnation always being affected by every bit of energy around you.
With enough distinction,
Discernment,
Practice,
Mindfulness,
Self-care,
And breaking down the ego and its perceptions,
You can non-attach to the sensations you get bombarded with.
All energy is the same.
We are the same.
The energy you're feeling as an empath is still your energy,
But it is the ego that is making it a nuisance.
