All right my friend,
Welcome back and good morning.
Hi,
How did yesterday go?
Did you come up with some new definitions for success?
See that vision really clearly?
What does success look like to you?
Go there deeper today if you haven't explored it enough yesterday.
What does success look like for you and what will it feel like?
Most importantly,
We are powerful beings that attract what we feel.
So if you walk around angry at the world because the world is out to get you,
Guess what?
You're going to attract people and experiences that confirm that belief that the world is a dangerous,
Unkind place and it's out to get you,
You can't trust anyone.
Or you can adopt the belief that the world is safe and loving and providing and providing and abundant and you get to feel loved and impactful and successful because you are that already.
Very different states,
All starts with how you believe.
All right,
So let's ground in,
Take a nice deep breath,
Sit up tall,
Get the base foundation stable today.
We want a really stable base,
Hips flat on the floor,
Deep breath,
Connect that core down into Pachamama,
Release everything you need to on your exhale.
Next,
Inhale,
Connect to the spirits above.
Thank you,
Angels,
Guidance,
Support,
Love,
Shower me with that light as you exhale.
Drink that delicious light as it pours into your soul and cleans and cleanses and purifies your spirit.
Last deep breath into your heart,
Expand that chest area,
Shoulders back,
Expand your love out into the room on the exhale.
Remind yourself how loving and beautiful of a human you are.
Today,
We get to step into knowing who you are more.
Very fun.
What are you good at?
What you're good at is oftentimes what you love to do.
The two can be interchangeable.
Sometimes they're not,
But today we want to explore the things that light you up,
That you also happen to be really good at.
So that might be drawing,
That might be something that might be something creative,
Right?
Like art or photography or dancing.
And that might be on the analytical end of like strategy and engineering and figuring out solutions and optimizing.
What are the things that you love to do that light you up that you also happen to be really good at?
You can make two separate lists if that supports and then see where there's crossover or if you're capable,
Just do both at the same time.
What lights you up?
What lights you up?
I love having lunch with friends and celebrating who they are,
Getting to know who they are and celebrating them.
That's one of the things that lights me up and it's joined forces with my unique gift of seeing people's greatness.
I love celebrating people's greatness.
That's why I have my podcast legends.
If you haven't started listening to it yet,
Please do.
Legends with Dr.
Nikki,
You can find it on Spotify or iTunes,
A little shameless plug,
But it's more in support of you because there's so much valuable information that my guests share that I get to shine a light on all these brilliant people and share their wisdom.
I get to dig into their brain for juicy nuggets of wisdom.
It's really fun.
What is it that you love to do that lights you up that doesn't take effort,
Doesn't take effort at all?
It's an absolute delight and it's a pleasure walking in nature,
Meditating,
Sitting by a river,
Playing with your kids.
What is it that you love to do?
And then can you incorporate it into your day today more wholly with intention?
So if what lights you up is walking in nature and you just feel the most juicy and yummy and connected when you're walking by yourself in nature,
Put that on the calendar today.
If it's not something that's automatic in your day,
Carve out the space and put it on the calendar as a scheduled event.
We have built our worlds out of cement and really tuned out a lot of nature.
So some of us actually have to make an intentional act to get ourselves to nature,
But I will tell you it is the most soothing thing you can do for your nervous system.
It's very important,
Especially getting to a body of water,
A running body of water that will cleanse your spirit and literally like pulls my worries out of my body and down the stream.
It's delightful.
And I'm emphasizing this today to do something that lights you up because that is a source of confidence.
When you do something that you love to do,
That you're naturally good at with intention,
With 100% presence,
Turn your phone off and be totally focused on playing with your kids or being in nature or dancing or doing your art.
Bring 100% presence,
Even if it's just for 20 minutes,
100% presence to that and let it light you up and fill your world.
It will change the way you show up the rest of the day and will elevate your level of confidence because you're doing something that you love,
That you're good at.
You remind yourself how talented you are.
You're actually really good at being a dad,
Really good at being a present mom when you're there,
Present,
Totally focused.
And if your superpower isn't blatantly obvious to you yet,
Go easy on yourself.
It took me until 44 years old to figure out what my message is and how to deliver it in these tracks.
It's a process.
And so be kind,
Go easy and start exploring what are some of the life lessons you've learned?
Often our mess is our message.
This phrase came to me very close after my diagnosis when I was having a tough time managing diabetes.
It was a devastating diagnosis,
Especially for a free spirit to all of us and be told,
I'm not allowed the thing that I love the most,
Sweetness in life.
That's what it felt like.
I had to figure out how to see diabetes as a teacher,
To shift my inner world of resistance to appreciation and gratitude.
And thank you for showing me my indulgences and see it as a blessing.
And as soon as I did that and I studied nutrition,
I learned how to feed myself.
I could then support others in doing so as well.
And so my mess became my message.
And please understand you have targets.
You're going to reach them.
You're going to set new targets.
The bar will always keep moving.
And there are people on either side of the spectrum of view.
So choose who you're comparing yourself to.
That's a big one.
We're going to go over that a lot in the happiness track.
So if you're beating yourself up,
You're comparing yourself to the mega affluent.
I had a client once that made $500,
000 a year and he was very upset with himself.
He didn't feel good enough because he was comparing himself to his friends that made $10 million.
I was like,
Have you ever been to India?
There are 7 billion people on this planet that would think you are the wealthiest person they've ever met.
If you had a thousand dollars in the bank,
A lot of your own happiness is sourced in comparison.
Be mindful who you're comparing yourself to.
And if you have aspirations,
That's fantastic.
Study,
Learn,
Grow,
Do whatever it takes to enhance your skills.
And then teach someone else how to do it.
Right?
One step leads to the next.
So follow the calling.
And for today,
Focus on something that you are good at.
What can you spend time doing today that you're naturally good at,
That you love to do,
That lights you up?
All right,
That's your assignment.
Super easy.
And of course,
Repeat your I am.
So it makes you special.
Repeat what you're good at today,
Actually.
That's your I am's for today.
What are you good at?
I am a fantastic interviewer.
I am a loving,
Loyal,
Exceptional friend.
I am a supportive friend.
I am great at giving advice.
It's okay.
Boost yourself up.
It's great to brag.
The word brag has a negative connotation,
But it doesn't have to.
How about we celebrate ourselves for our greatness?
How about we make it okay to celebrate ourselves instead of shunning and calling it bragging with this negative tone?
No,
Boost yourself up.
We've got to become our biggest cheerleaders instead of our self-bashing masters.
Right?
So what are you great at?
What are you really good at naturally?
What do you love to do?
Do it with so much joy today.
Okay?
Share that love with the world after as well.
Love you.
