It is amazing what we can shift within ourselves by taking 5-minutes to pause, feel and breathe. This is a great meditation to practice when transitioning from one task to another as an opportunity to reset and refocus.

Finding your place in space and just settling into this moment wherever you are.

Feeling your physical body ground you.

Maybe noticing what body parts are touching the ground.

What's touching the chair?

Because wherever our body is,

We are,

Is the present moment.

And just gently allowing there to be a sense of ease and presence in the body.

Notice if there's tension in the shoulders or the face,

The fingers.

Just see what you can let go of and soften.

And then taking note of sounds in the physical space.

Just allowing any sounds become music to your background.

And then gently bringing your awareness to your breath and being kind and curious as you notice where do you feel your breath the most prominent in this moment.

Is it the abdomen?

Feeling the belly fall on the exhale?

Feeling the belly rise on the inhale?

Or maybe it's noticing the air in the nostrils?

Feeling the cool air on the inhale and sensing into the warm air on the exhale?

And just trusting yourself that wherever you feel your breath the most prominent in this moment is perfectly normal.

And so selecting an anchor point,

Whether it be sounds,

Maybe a body part like your left hand,

Maybe a place where you feel your breath.

And just allow the awareness and attention to rest there knowing that the mind is gonna wander as it naturally does.

And we're just gonna notice where it wanders off to.

Say hello to any thoughts that come in.

Thank you.

And gently bringing our awareness back to our anchor point.

Back to the present moment.

And no matter how many times you have to tell your mind to come back you are doing the practice.

When you're feeling complete,

If you closed your eyes feel free to open them and take the sense of awareness with you for the rest of your day.
