Hello,

My name is Dylan Smith and I am a teacher on Insight Timer to share with you how to live life with abundance,

Purpose,

Maximum health and freedom.

Now we are going to explore what is Ayurveda,

The core of my teachings as a health practitioner and holistic health educator.

Ayurveda is a system of holistic medicine,

A general applicable guide to life.

It is a science that has sprung forth from natural law,

The fundamental mechanics of how nature operates.

Looking at the Sanskrit word of Ayurveda,

You can understand the meaning.

There are two roots within the word.

Ayuhu means life and Veda means knowledge or science.

So Ayurveda translates to the science of life.

What a broad and holistic science,

A science that has perspective and wisdom on literally everything in life.

It is the science on how to live life with maximum health to enjoy the four aims of human fulfillment.

The first aim of human fulfillment according to Ayurveda is Dharma,

Living a truly purposeful life performing the most evolutionary actions in any given moment in order to uplift and interact with society successfully for greater harmony.

Number two,

Artha,

Living life with infinite abundance and skillfully utilizing relevant resources that offer true value for your life.

Number three,

Karma,

Being absolutely present with delightful pleasures that enhance the richness of life to support your passion for your life's purpose.

Number four,

Moksha,

Living your true nature,

Thus having access to your full human potential and experiencing freedom and liberation.

So to recap these four aims of human fulfillment according to Ayurveda,

Dharma,

Artha,

Karma,

Moksha,

Dharma,

Purpose,

Artha,

Abundance,

Karma,

Delightful pleasures and Moksha,

Freedom and liberation.

Ayurveda,

The science of life provides practical knowledge for you to actually live these four aims of life.

Most people think Ayurveda is traditional Indian medicine,

But it's not only India.

Although strong and dominant in India and sacredly preserved in India for thousands and thousands of years,

Ayurveda at its essence is universal medicine.

The principles of Ayurveda have been utilized by various cultures and countries over time.

And when you start to learn about Ayurveda,

It may appear sophisticated,

But at its essence,

It is simple,

Intuitive knowledge that can be practically applied to any living creature,

Wherever in the world they reside and whatever their life circumstances entail.

There are no rules in Ayurveda,

It is based on principles,

Principles that are there for each individual to take their own unique life and apply it in a way that is relevant for them.

Ayurveda is part of the Veda,

It's a body of knowledge that governs the laws of nature from which yoga,

Meditation,

Ayurveda,

Stapachaveda,

Which is Vedic architecture,

Gandharva Veda,

Which is the science of sound and Jyotish,

Vedic astrology,

All come from this Veda.

The ancient science of Ayurveda guides us how to live life in harmony with nature and its rhythms and cycles.

The day and the night,

The seasons,

Moon cycles,

Menstrual cycles,

Equinoxes,

Solstices,

When you live in tune with nature's rhythms and cycles,

You align with your own human rhythms and cycles.

Of which by the way,

The 2017 Nobel Prize for Medicine showed every organ and every cell in the human body is governed by clocks and cycles.

When you live in tune with the rhythms and cycles of your own human physiology,

You live in tune with your unique human nature.

And that,

My friend,

Is where perfect health lies.

So how do you do this with Ayurveda?

How do you tap into this space within perfect health and perfect alignment?

Through a wide range of variety,

Through holistic preventative actions and treatments,

Such as dietary principles,

Lifestyle recommendations,

Herbal remedies,

Body treatments,

Therapies,

And more dynamic interventions,

Ayurveda helps bring your body and mind back to its true natural birth state of health.

Ayurveda recognizes that you,

Yeah you,

Have the memory of perfect health.

When you were born,

You were basically perfectly healthy.

And even if you were not,

Maybe you were missing an organ or had some defect at birth,

You still have the memory of perfect health on a cellular level.

So rather than focusing on disease,

Ayurveda enlivens health,

Enlivens that memory that is within you.

The practices remind your body and mind of what it is to be healthy.

Even if you've had a chronic disease for decades,

Or you've been diagnosed with a terminal illness,

The memory of health is still there,

But it has to be enlivened.

When that memory and experience of health is restored and re-established,

Disease ultimately dissipates.

Then you can live in peace,

With minimal to no suffering,

And radiate love and rich,

Inspiring radiance for all to enjoy.

So do you want to learn more specific Ayurvedic knowledge,

Techniques,

And interventions?

Throughout my Insight Timer page,

I will be sharing just that.

Enjoy enriching your knowledge of the science of life,

And I wish you perfect health.
